Sunday had arrived.

I didn't want that at all.

It would be truly fair to say that I was just as broken and anxious as Eunjoo, if anything, only a little less.

She had been in my room with me all the time ever after she told me she would be leaving soon, and I don't mind having her by my side as long as she wants.

Looking at Eunjoo's sleeping figure and studying the features sculpted on her face, the tear stains and puffy eyes were too visible to ignore. Her bubbly and cheerful smile was replaced by a frown that was there no matter how much she tried to fight it off.

She was mentally discouraged.

And I don't know how to help her at all.

My phone that was kept on the nightstand by my bed dinged, as I turned my body around to check what notification I have gotten.

I pick my phone up and turn it on, squinting my eyes at the bright light coming out of it.

Jakesss: I gave jungwon your number. Don't kill me, he asked for it from me.

I sighed and ran my hand through my hair, pushing the loose strands away as the reminder of the date was enough to stress me out even more.

I can't leave Eunjoo alone today. This is the time she needs me the most, and I certainly can't leave her for a date. She is emotionally broken and flooded with emotions, leaving her alone would be nothing but unwanted anxiety.

My phone rings again, but with a call this time which wakes Eunjoo up as well, as I silent it. It came from an unknown number, that I did not recognise either.

"Awake?" I ask her as I put my phone back on the stand while facing her. She nods and sits up with the help of her arms, as I do the same.

"Yeah." She answers and covers her mouth with the back of her hand while yawning. "How long have you been awake?" She asks after taking her hand away and throwing it over her lap.

"Not long. Do you want me to make breakfast?" I questioned, as to which she shakes her head as a no and brings her hand back up again, scratching the back of her neck.

"Do you not need to get ready?" She looks at me and then to the clock on the wall pinned to the wall, right in-front of the bed.

I frown and shake my head, "For what?"

"Your date?"

I sigh, "I was planning to say no—"

She cuts me off, "What? Why?" Her voice came out as loud and stern, causing me to flinch at the surprising yell.

As I realized what she had asked me, I groaned and squinted my eyes, "You know, I can't leave you alone."

I knew she wasn't going to suggest that I work according to my thoughts, but it was no lie that I could leave her alone today. Jake is visiting today, she is leaving tomorrow, this is the worst time I could possibly leave her alone.

"But Iseul, you don't have to."

"I do, a lot. You are like a sister to me. I can't leave you alone when you need me." I argue as she sighs.

"I am sorry, but I really need alone time right now. Please enjoy your date."

She turns to the other side and lets her feet meet the ground, standing up afterwards. Walking towards the door, she twisted the knob, opening it and closing it behind her as she left the room.

I exhale and bring my legs up to my chest, hugging them and dropping my head in between as my vision gets blurred by the tears forming in my eyes. I can't pin-point at what exactly I am being emotional over. Maybe it's because my friend is in deep sorrow, or I have no choice but to leave her alone for approximately the whole day? Whatever it is, it is for sure taking the worst out of me.

My phone rang up again, making me hiss before I yank it off the nightstand with a hint of aggression, and put it close to my ear after swiping to call to accept it.

"Hello?" I heard the voice coming from the other side, soft and sweet.

"Hello, who's this?"

"Oh, right, this is Jungwon. Good morning, Iseul."

"Good morning, what's up?"

"Nothing really. I just wanted to tell you that please wear comfortable clothes on our date, like hoodies or stuff, we are just going to an arcade nearby."

"Ah, I see. Thanks for telling me, I will be there."

"I'll see you then. Bye."

The call hangs up.

Now, I could not even deny the date as I have already said that I will be there. I have absolutely no choice but to go. And I have brought the unwillingness upon me.

—

As my eyes meet his up-turned, cat eyes, a small, yet noticeable smile takes place on my lips, while the side of his lip twitched up into a grin as well. Pushing the glass door open and entering the arcade which illuminated a dark shade of purple, light music playing alongside, which was hard to pick on as the sound of the games were loud enough.

Making my way towards the male, I tug on the straps of my backpack as my heart beat rises up and my throat starts to dry out. Nervousness?

His black sweatpants and oversized gray hooded-sweatshirt, that reached up to his thighs made him look too cute for my heart. While Jay and Sunghoon both had their own separate vibes and choices, maybe I could click a little better with Jungwon. His brown, fluffy hair fell upon his forehead as he pushed a few strands back to his head.

"Hey," He scratches the back of his head while smiling, making me break into another smile. He opens his mouth to speak once again, "How are you?"

"I am doing good, and you?"

"Me too. Let's go?" He lifts up his hand and points to the back with his thumb while his fist stays closed and blinks his eyes. I nodded my head yes as his light, soft grip got-a-hold of my index finger loosely.

The playful and chill vibe of the game center almost made my mind dismiss all the thoughts that I was having merely a few minutes before entering the arcade. The light music playing entering my ears and the metallic smell of coins filling up my nose gave me a sense of relief from the tightness spread all over my chest about Eunjoo.

"What game do you want to play first?" Jungwon's soft voice brings me out of my thoughts, as I turn my head up to lock eyes with him.

"I don't really have any preference," I turn my head away and take in thw surrounding machines, pressing my lips together as our pace relativeky slowed down together to see the content around us.

Jungwon's hiss enters my ears, as I again look up, only to find him looking to the other side, checking the russion-violet coloured computers and devices.

"How about claw machine?"

"That sounds great."

Sucking a gush of air up my mouth, I ring up the door-bell, moving back while the smell of noodles filled up my nose, making my stomach rumble, as I brought my hands closer, and gripped on it.

Staying out for almost three hours, and without having breakfast or having anything to eat didn't help at all.

The smell of warm and freshly-made soy-sauce noodles collided with my urge to eat, making my stomach rumble up once again.

Hearing a faint 'coming' from the inside of the house, I sighed and leaned myself against the metal railing while dropping my head down.

I really will have to decide who I want to actually date? That's cruel.

The door made a clicking sound, indicating it had been unlocked as I stood up straight before it was completely open with Eunjoo standing on the other side.

Her brown hair was up in a messy bun, as she had a white apron wrapped around her body with black, dried out spots here and there.

She smiles and stands aside to let me in, "Enjoyed your date?"

I smiled and made my way inside, happy to see her smiling once again. I nod, "Very." I take my dark gray bag off my shoulders before throwing it on the couch, walking to the kitchen. "You cooked?"

Her footsteps started to get closer before she finally stopped behind me and kept her hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, Jake's coming in like an hour."

"Oh." Was all I could let out.
