Married life

After our honeymoon things had reverted back to its old ways,  you staying out late all night and me at home waiting for you wondering where you were and panicking about whether something bad had happened to you, I also noticed that you also started drinking a lot and that your usual kind demeanour has changed to a short tempered, ill mouthed very very scary man.

You were a completely different man to the one I married, were you not real? Were you hiding something from me, but you would have told wouldn't you? Or... Were you just lying from the start and this was the real you. It can't be right?

I tried to be a good wife to you I was caring, I was affectionate I was willing to help you in any way I could, but you were hot and cold all the time that it confused me so much.

Until one day you broke down apologising to me saying that I deserved better and that you were sorry for neglecting me. You grabbed on to my hands and looked me in the eyes and promised that you would try to be a better husband to me and if I could ever forgive you.

I gave you the warmest smile I could muster and told you that I forgave you and that I wanted to turn over a new leaf. Things were getting better, we were spending more time together, we did more activities as well and even picked up new hobbies! Who knew ice skating was so much fun!

However all those fun stuff would stop on our anniversary, that's when the unimaginable happened, something I never thought would happen and wished to hear.
