Erica's POV

I have been trying to call Harry but he didn't answer. My phone switched off and now I can't even tell him that I am in India.

Yes, I did message him a day ago that I am going to India but he didn't read the message. He is really too busy or maybe he lost interest in me. This thought just tears me apart.

I came to India for my cousin, Rohan's wedding.

Right now, my phone is on charging and I am unpacking my suitcase.

I still can't stop thinking about Harry...

What if this is the end?? What if he has stopped liking me??

I am just so frustrated at the moment .

My train of thoughts get blocked by a knock on the door.

"Come in"

My grandmother came inside with my parents.

I touched my grandmother's feet and asked her to sit.

"Erica, I am so happy to see you after so long", she said and caressed my head.

I just fake smiled because I wasn't in mood to make any conversation.

"You are 26 now and I want you to get married before you become 27", she demanded.

Yeah again that typical Indian thing. Get married soon and then have kids.

"You know that I am not ready", I said and sighed.

This is literally the millionth time that I am telling them this.

"I am not here to listen to your childish whining. This is the final decision. In fact I have started looking for a boy for you".

My eyes were wide. I glanced at my parents and they just looked at me with apologetic faces. They have never said no to anything that grandmother said and of course, they won't say no to this too although this is the question of my bloody life.

"No!", I simply replied.

"What no??", she asked, raising her voice. "You are getting married soon and its final"

"No...I will get married whenever I feel like and right now I am not ready. I need time", I said, picking up my phone and went out of my room.

I straight away went to the garden to get some fresh air. I opened my phone and saw a few messages and calls from Harry.

I felt a bit better. At least he hasn't forgotten me.

I opened his messages.

Erica, love
I am really sorry for a
Last few days.
I had been so busy.
I am sorry for not picking your
Calls.
Please forgive me.
When I called you back
Your phone was switched off.
When you read this please
Call me

I frowned after reading this. He expects me to call him now but me being me. I can never be mad at him for too long.

I called him.

He picked up after a few rings.

"Hey Eri", he said in a raspy voice. He was either sleepy or drunk.

"Hey Harry! How are you??"

"Fine now that you called me", he said and I could feel him smile.

"Were you sleeping or something?? Did I disturb you??", I asked, being concerned. I know he probably gets a little to no sleep and last thing I would want is to disturb him during his sleep.

"No! No! I am just having a hangover"

I frowned. When did he get time to drink?? Yeah, of course he has time to go to a pub or something but no time for me.

"I know you are probably cursing me right now", he said with a chuckle. "I am sorry for the last few days Eri. I was....busy. I am sorry, I couldn't keep my promise. But you don't worry, my tour is going to get over soon. Just three weeks more"

"Yeah. Well, you probably don't know since you didn't read any of my messages. I am in India for my cousin's wedding".

"Oh! When are you coming back??"

"Day after tomorrow. You know what Harry, I was feeling so low before but now that I am talking to you, my all worries are gone"

"I am glad to hear this. Well, Eri I will call you later"

"Yeah its okay", I said, feeling a bit sad

"I miss you Eri"

"Miss you too Hazza".

With that we hung up the call.

The rest of the wedding was pretty eventful except one thing that my grandmother didn't stop forcing me to get married. I just shrugged it off. I know I am not getting married anytime soon and also if I get married, my husband would be someone whom I love.

I was wearing a purple coloured saree for the wedding. I took a few pictures and now finally I am posting my first picture on Instagram.
