Things were awkward for a long time after that.

But I bounce back quick. 

It really bothered me at the beginning, so much so that I was angry at you. Things would have never escalated like that if you would ease up sometimes.

But I got over it fairly quick.

I guess it helped that I wasn't directly involved, but rather pushed to the side-lines as soon as it happened.

You suffered the force of it.

I guess I'm glad you finally opened your eyes and took note of your surroundings, but I am sorry it happened the way it did.

Watching it all unfold in front of my own eyes was painful enough, but watching your face contort in pain like that was difficult to digest.

I left as soon as I could.

You really took it to heart, didn't you?

Even though it wasn't my fault and I wasn't even directly involved; I'm sorry you had to go through that.
