CHAPTER SIXTY-EIGHT: STUCK IN TIME

"So what do you think the next timeline will be like?" Lila looked at you and Five.

"Hopefully, this one will be it. I mean, how many timelines are there anyway? Do you think we'll visit every single one?" she asked.

"This is it" you and Five said and she looked at you both "What? What do you two mean?" she asked.

You and Five exhaled heavily, rubbing your temple as exhaustion threatens to consume you both. You met her gaze, your eyes filled with a mixture of fatigue and determination. "This is the last timeline, Lila" you said "After this one, we're done. We're going back home. No more timelines" he said.

Lila blinked in surprise, disbelief creeping into her expression "Wait, what? Are you two serious? We can't stop now, guys. There's still so much to do. We can't just---" "We can and we will" you and Five cut her off "We're done, we're so done. This whole timeline exploration bullshit is pointless from the start" you said.

"Yeah. A stupid idea that was never going to work. We thought we could make a difference, but Y/n and I had enough" Five said.

She scoffed, her frustration bubbling to the surface "What the hell are you two talking about? If it's so stupid, then why did you two agree to do it in the first place? You both agreed to this mission. You both signed up for this. You two can't just give up now cause you're tired---"

Five clenched his fists, his patience wearing him "Because you're family, Lila" he snapped "We did this because we care about you. You're my brother's wife" Five said "Our sister-in-law. Our kids' aunt" you said.

"Yeah, and we knew you needed space from him, from your life and we thought we could help. But this...this is too much. We can't keep doing it" he said.

Her expression softened momentarily until her eyes flashed with anger, but there was something deeper there, something that made her voice tremble when she spoke "I don't need you guys' pity. I never did" she shot back.

She paced in front of him, her frustration building up "I don't need your pity!" she snapped, her voice rising in the volume. She wasn't sure why she was so angry, perhaps it was the exhaustion or the weight of her own frustrations "I genuinely wanted to stop this fourth apocalypse. I'm trying to help" she said.

Five met her gaze without flinching "Pity?" he scoffed "Y/n and I care about you, Lila. We do. But sometimes, you make it damn near impossible for me to not want to kill you" he said.

"Oh yeah?" she challenged "Then go ahead. Kill me now!" her words were sharp, cutting through the tension that filled the air.

Five glanced at Lila but didn't react. He stayed still instead. His silence only made Lila's anger grow. She marched over to him, grabbing the front of his collar and yanking him towards her "Go on" she spat, her eyes blazing "Finish me off, Five! I dare you!"

"Guys, stop" you wanted to pull them away from each other but Five lifted his left hand to signal you to stop and you did.

For a moment, the tension between them was suffocating. Five's expression never wavered, but the storm brewing inside him was palpable. Yet, despite everything, he said nothing. He simply pushed her away from him.

Lila's breath came in ragged gasps, frustration and anger warring within her. Her hands shook as tears began to well up in her eyes, she hadn't realized how close she was to breaking until that moment.

Five finally decided to break the silence "You can't keep running from your problems, Lila. You have to talk to Diego. Y/n and I are not your therapist. We can't always be the one to listen to your problems, be the one who's here for you. Both Y/n and I have our own life too, I have a wife and that I'm trying to protect" he said "And I have a husband that I'm also trying to protect" you said.

"We have kids. Kids we want to watch grow up" you and Five said.

A small chuckle came from her before taking a deep breath.

"You're right. I'm such a mess...I tried to change. For Diego. For the kids. But here I am, still running away. Still avoiding everything instead of facing it" she looked down before looking at him again.

"I'm so sorry for everything. For dragging you two into this. I was used to both being strong and handling things on your own, that...it slipped my mind. I was selfish, guys. And I'm sorry" she said.

You and Five exhaled slowly, a tired but genuine smile appearing on your faces "Thank you for understanding, Lila" you both said quietly.

The train finally stopped and, you, Lila and Five stepped out as soon as the doors opened but it was not the right timeline, so you stepped into the train again before sitting down disappointed.

You, Five and Lila had spend months that felt like years in the abandoned subway. The plan to divert Ben from going on the Moldovan mission had failed and the only thing on your minds was returning back home to your families. The three of you had been surviving on things you have collected over time, such as snacks and bottle water.

YEAR ONE

You, Five and Lila was still sitting in the train as it was driving down the tunnel, hoping that it would stop at the right timeline.

Five stretched the map to the side towards you and you grab it.

The train stop and the three of you stepped out before looking around the station to see if it was the right timeline but no, so you got into the train again and it drove down the tunnel while the three of you was sitting on the floor in the train.

Lila sat down on the floor while Five started working out while you were hanging your head upside down.

As the train kept driving, Five put his legs up while he was laying on his back on the seat with the map covered his face while Lila was sitting on top of some other seats while you were laying on the floor. All three of you bored to death, just waiting for the train to stop at the right timeline.

"If we went two stops ago, we would be in the right station" Lila said as the three of you entered the train again after arrive at the wrong timeline.

"It's completely your fault. I said to go eastbound. This is your fault" she said "How do you think we're eastbound?" he asked "This is westbound!" Lila said out loud as the two were arguing "Stop it guys okay!" you shouted at them "Told you that this was not the right timeline and told you something will go wrong, we're stuck in time"

YEAR TWO

The three of you were in the train station in another timeline. Five and you were preparing some blanket while Lila was sitting by the fireplace looking down at the food you were making.

Because of yours and Five's survival skills and pervious experience, you knew how to survive so that was not a problem for you. 

"Why does this remind me of the apocalypse?" you asked "I was thinking the same, and it's because it is" Five said. 

The three of you kept trying to find a way back to the right timeline, but it was like you were stuck.

The three of you were looking for food in the station and you lifted chewing gum machine up from the ground before you shook it and you laughed as you could hear that something was in it.

The three of you crouched down as you handed Five and Lila some chewing gum before eating your chewing gum and you laughed while Five smiled as Lila chuckled, happy over you found some food.

YEAR THREE

You, Five and Lila were sitting in the train, just looking straight ahead, your hair messy and your clothes dirty. But you were still so desperate in coming home, but you were lost.

---

While Lila was out searching for food, you and Five were sitting in one of the train stations across each other playing a game with different small stuff you had found.

Five turned to cough and while he was looking away you moved one of your pieces.

When he looked back you moved your pieces, taken two of Five's pieces which cause him to narrowed his eyes and you laughed which made him smile.

"You cheated and that means you are getting punish" Five moved over to you before pressing his lips against yours.

"If that is my punishment, I think I will start cheating some more" you both smiled before kissing again.

Five then lifted you up and you wrapped your legs around his waistline.

"I love you, forever and a day" he kissed your neck "I love you too, forever and a day" you kissed again.

---

YEAR FOUR.

You were sitting on the floor with your right leg up as Five was slowly removing a piece of glass out of your foot "Ow! Ow!" you said as he took it out and Lila help clean it.

---

Five was sitting on a chair as his wife was having him. He couldn't help but stare at you as your faces was inches apart.

You both looked at each other before smiling and you grab a rag before wiping his face.

After that Five cut your hair.

This remind you both of that time you were stuck in the apocalypse.

---

YEAR FIVE

The three of you was sitting in the train as it was driving down the tunnel. Your face looks lost and you were. You were all three covered in dirt marks and ash from a timeline you had just visited and had to try and survive in as you all sat in silently, that was until you noticed how silent Five was, which was weird since he had always been the one to talk or start a conversation during these repetitive train rides you had both grown to despair as you looked over at Five quietly and what he was doing.

Five meanwhile was still staring ahead of him, seeming to find more interest in passing wall outside the train than the person next to him, except he wasn't interested in anything and was just staring ahead of him as if he was trying to keep himself awake. You noticed how he seems to have lost that arrogant smirk he wore that was now replaced with dirt and ash, that neat hair he'd always spend a second of his free time sorting out which was now replaced with frizzy mess that he didn't bother to fix, he looked different to what you was originally graced by almost every day, so much more emptier looking than his cocky self like he had give up on trying to find his family again, like he was done, like he was just so tired.

You looked at Lila that was sitting next to you "Don't worry, you will get home to your kids" you said "I hope" she said "Don't lose hope, don't give up" you said and she nodded before she rested her head against a seat to rest.

It was late at night, and the ride didn't seems close to its end yet. You were tired and so was Five, but he forced hinself to stay awake, not wantes to miss the stop. Miss the chance of going home.

Slowly but surely tiredness took over and you slowly slipped into your dreams. Your body leaned against his side as your head fell onto his shoulder, seeking for a comfortable position that provided warmth and a feeling of protection.  

Five noticed your umintentionel act. He turned his head to look at you before smiling, wrapping his arm around you as he gave you a small kiss on top of your head, pulling you closer.

"I will get you home, no matter the cost, I promise" he spoke in a soft whisper, ready to sacrifice everything for you.

He then put his head on top of yours before also closing his eyes to sleep.

YEAR SIX.

 While Lila was laying in a bed for herself on the subway station, you and Five was laying in a bed for yourself.

You had your head on Five's chest while you were snuggled up in his arms as he had his arms around you.  

----

You, Five and Lila was sitting at the subway. The three of you were sitting in the station with the train behind you as you was sitting looking down at the fire the three of you have made where some rat you have caught was being burned so you could eat them.

"Many years have passed, and I want to go home" you let out a sigh "Do you think we will come home?" you asked "I promise you, I will bring us home safely. I will find a way" Five said before letting out a sigh.

"I don't think I can eat another subway rat" Five said "If you add an orange peel to it, it kind of tastes like duck á l'orange" Lila said "Care to guess how long we've been down here?" you looked at the two "Long enough I found my first gray hair" she said as you eat a piece of meat.

"And it's not on my head" she looked at you and you exhales bemusedly while Five folded out a calendar he had made "Well, according to my calendar, it's been...six years, five months, two days" he said "Yeah, well, we'll find a way home soon enough, right?" Lila looked at the two of you "Of course. If we don't get stabbed, shot, or blown up the next time we go topside" you said and the two nodded.

He then folded the calendar "You know in some of those timelines, we would've been lucky to get out alive" he put the calendar in his bag before looking at you "Yeah, well, we're still kicking, so we must be doing something right" you smiled before looking at him "She is right. As long as you are still breathing, there is still hope" Lila said "Yeah, we will get back. You will see your husband and your kids again" you said.

"I think my marriage is over" Lila sighed "I don't think it is" she looked at you "Diego love you Lila and you love him. You and him have something that most people would kill for. I would do anything to get what you guys have" you let out a sigh before looking at her while Five glanced at you "Don't let go of him, it's rare to find someone that see all your flaws but still love you. So don't let go of that" you said before looking at her.

"How do you two keep it going?" she asked "Communication, we listen to each other, If you disagree on something, if you want to tell them how you feel, sit down and talk. Understand each other, do not interrupt" you said "Yeah. A way to prevent an argument is just to calm down and listen to what the other has to say. Keep in mind that you both want this to work. Work through it together. Communication and trust is key to a successful relationship. Do not keep your feelings to yourself, you won't want to explode in the future and make things worse. Don't be afraid of what your partner might think, they are there to accept you, not to judge you. We don't have any secret for each other. We have date nights while someone is watching the kids. We spend time with each other. Express love and appreciation. Prioritize emotional and physical intimacy. Set aside quality time together" Five said.

"Engage in shared interests. Conflict is inevitable in any relationship, and marriage is no exception, but it's how you navigate it that makes all the difference. Support each other's growth and personal development. Respect each other and also forgive the other when one of us is an idiot. Nurture fondness and admiration. We give each other space when the other need it. Apologize when you're wrong. Take a walk hand in hand. Go to bed together. Make time for each other. We respect each other's choices and support each other. Always give a hundred percent together. The idea behind teamwork in your marriage is that both of you are working together to make this work. To get to that hundred percent every day, and if you both feel like you can't get there, still be there to support each other every step. No matter the struggle, no matter the downfalls, no matter what happens, be there for each other whenever you can" you said.

"Don't you two fight?" she asked "Yeah, we fight, but every couples does. But we don't give up on each other. Arguments are normal. What matters is that you makes amends and move forward together" Five said.

"Whenever Five and I get into a bad argument, we both learn to push back our ego and apologize for our part in the fight" you said.

"Yeah, that is how Y/n and I make it work" Five said and you nodded before you looked at Lila "Maybe you and Diego should do that" you said and she did a small nod while letting out a sigh.  

"Listen, true love it is the art of seeing someone's flaws and thinking they are prefect anyway. Love doesn't blind you to imperfections, it lets you see them clearly and embrace them. It's knowing every crack in their armor, every fault in their character, and still thinking they are the most beautiful and most extraordinary person you've ever know, because to you, they are everything. And I know that you and Diego are each other's true love, so don't throw that away" you said.

"She's right. My brother loves you more than anything. You and home belong together" Five said "Thanks you two" she said "Of course"

"Listen I know I always said it was just a mission" Five started "But Five and I never apologized. We're really sorry for killing your parents" you said "I've made peace with it. I have my family now. But it means a lot that you apologized" Lila said before smiling.

 "If I have to be honest, I have to confess something" she looks at Five "Those years we have spend together her, have gotten me closer to you, and now I actually see you as my family Lila, I see you as a sister" he said "I see you as a brother" she said "Glad we finally can handle each other now" they both chuckled "Glad you two can finally tolerate each other. 'Cause then I don't have to babysit you" you said and the two chuckled.

"Hey, do you two remember that timeline we found the day? At the greenhouse?" you asked and the two looked at you "And the strawberries. What about it?" Lila asked "Seemed pleasant enough" you said "Yeah. You're right there's no feral hogs there. No secret police. I was thinking we could maybe set up there for a stretch" he suggested "So you're giving up?" she asked "No, absolutely not, no one said give up, trust me, Five and I want to get home just as much as you do" you said "Yeah, we want to get home to our kids. But...it's been almost seven years" Five said "Yeah. We deserve a break. You know, a bed. A shower" you said "I would strangle a kitten for a hot bath" she said before looking at the two of you.

"We all three need a break, I'm tired of running" he said "Yeah, we need to relax for a moment or else we will go crazy" you said

"Just a few days, okay? This does not mean that we're giving up" she said "No, of course not" you shook your head "Okay" she nodded.

----

You, Five and Lila have been traveling together in the way point subway between all timelines now, for quite some time, over six year, you have running around being attacked, chased, shot at literally everything underneath the sun, so when you found a safe timeline you decided to have a break from running across the timelines using the dammed time traveling subway that kept giving you random timelines to be chased around in.

The three of you had made yourself a nice little home in a calm and tranquil timeline, it had a greenhouse and was laying out in the forest. So it was the perfect place to settle down for a while.

You and Five would go and hunt rabbits deer and other woodland animals while you also would tended to the conservatory that was filled with fruit and vegetable and would make meals and desserts wit things the conservatory held while Lila also help with making the place feel more like home.

---

Five who was wearing a green shirt and holding a watering can entered the greenhouse where you were picking strawberries.

Five didn't wore his suit anymore, he still had it but now he was wearing more regular clothes. And you didn't wanted to admit it, but you actually think it suit him, wearing regular and relaxing clothes.

He walked over before watering some plants. Five glanced at you as he was watering the plants.

Five sent a smile to you before he turned to the plants, but then you threw a strawberry at him, hitting him on the left shoulder.

He just ignored it as he kept watering the plants but then you threw another strawberry at him before throwing another one.

"You know if you keep this up, we're are gonna run out of strawberries when the show comes and not have any strawberries for Elliott and Ellie when we get home" he looked at you.

"So we'll eat snow" you joke as you approached him but then suddenly you trip and almost fell "Ah"

"Oh" Five managed to catch you before you could fall and he help you back on your feet causing your faces to be inches from each other.

"You okay?" he asked "Always there to catch me" you said before kissing him.

"What was that for?" he asked as you pulled away "Because I love you, forever and a day" you said "I love you too, forever and a day" he put his right hand on your left cheek and you kissed again.

You wrapped your arms around his neck while he put his hands on your back as you kept kissing.

"Get a room" a voice said which cause you and Five to pull away and looked over to see Lila in the doorway "You two are so disgusting that it want to make me throw up" she said and the two of you chuckled.

----

 You and Five have being out hunting while Lila was out gathering some stuff.

You have just return home while Five was still out. So you were now in the greenhouse looking at some gramophone plates.

Then you heard footsteps and you looked out the window to see that Five was coming home.

You smiled before you took one of the plates out and put it in the gramophone before starting the music.

As the sound of romantic, old-timey music started playing on the gramophone you looked over at the door to see Five enter holding some rabbits wrapped with a string in his left hand and his knife in a holster by his left thigh.

"Hey, someone did tell today" you smiled as you looked at the rabbits. "It was the snares you made" Five said before he glanced at the rabbits.

"Exceptional" he looked at you with a smile "Don't feed my ego" you smiled while he also saw that you have also caught some rabbits "You also did good" he said "Yeah, I caught one more than you so I won" you both smiled and he hang the string that was holding the rabbits up on a hook.

He then looked at the gramophone as he listen to the music while he approached you as you were sitting on a chair.

You smiled as he crouched down while looking at the gramophone that was playing music.

"I fixed it" you smiled and he looked at you "I remember how you in the apocalypse would have a gramophone with you and that you would play anything you could find before falling asleep 'cause you are not use to sleep in silence" you said "You remember?" he smiled "Of course" you smiled.

"I made your favorite peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches" you said "That so, save it for me for later" he smiled.

He got down on one knee as he turned to look at you before looking back at the gramophone "Hey, I know that look. Out with it" you said.

"Okay" he said before he pulled something up from his right back pocket.

He pulled a piece of leather that was wrapped around something "I think you deserve a gift, since we haven't really celebrated our anniversary while we were stuck here" he said before he stretched the leather towards you and you grab it.

You looked at him with a smile before looking back at the leather "What's this?" you asked "Look inside" he said before looking back at you.

You let out another smile before you look at the leather as you unwrapped it.

Inside was there a small bracelet that was made out of scrap metal.

"Where'd you get this?" you asked "I made it" he said and you looked at him while he was sending you his lovely look. That look he only gave you.

You smiled before you leaned forward and kissed him.

"You're so full of surprises" you smiled at him and he smiled "I made this for you" Five said calmly with a small smile before grabbing the bracelet while you smiled in shock and slight excitement before holding out your right wrist to let Five put it on you.

You both looked at the bracelet "It's beautiful" you said as you admire the bracelet while Five was admiring you as you hold the bracelet up to your face to see the bracelet more clearly, admiring the woven details on it and his craftsmanship. You could see that he have really made an effort and did his best. You could see that it most have taken him a week at least in making something like that.

But what you didn't noticed was how Five was looking at you, admire you with his green eyes filled with adoration as he smiles subconsciously at the way you were looking at something he made, which honestly filled him with pride that he had managed to make you smile at something he made for you.

"This is just like the ring you made yourself back in the apocalypse?" you said and he nodded. 

"I aim to please" he said as you looked back at him.

"As long as you're only pleasing me" you said "Of course Darling" he leans forward and gently kissed you again.

"You know I have something for you as well" you smiled before you also pulled something up from your pocket.

It was a piece of leather that was wrapped around something "Here, happy anniversary" you stretched the leather towards him and he grab it.

He let out another smile before he look at the leather as he unwrapped it.

Inside was there a small bracelet that was made out of scrap metal.

He looked at you "I think it was time I got you something I made" you smiled and he chuckled as he looked back at the bracelet "So now we have a bracelet that is the same" he said before looked at you "Don't you love it?" you asked "I do love it, I will never take it off" he put it around his right wrist.

When he have put it on, he looked back at you "I love you so much, forever and a day" he said "I love you forever and a day" you said before kissing again.

Five pressed his lips against yours in a sweet kiss, dragging it out even when his lips left yours. You knew that he love you too without saying it.

You capture his lips again and his hands came up and one grabbed your waist, pulling you into him while the other ran through you hair.

He then brought his face closer to yours enough so that his forehead was against yours before connection your lips again.

Something it felt like you were opposing forces and sometimes you felt as if it was the only two of you in the world.

You swung your leg over his, sitting down in his lap. You felt his body tense up for just a second before he relaxed and allowed you to lean into him. You felt every spot where his body touched yours. Your cheeks were flaming red, you were sure and your heart was pounding in your chest. You wouldn't be surprised if it jumped out of your chest at one point.

When you met Five, you never knew you were going to fall this hard. Yet everytime you were with him. You had felt more alive than ever before in your entire life.

You know you sounded way too cheesy, but you were caught up in a relationship that went way deeper than those high school crushes. He was not only your husband, but he was also your partner, your light, your rock, the father of your kids. 

You broke the kiss, both breathing heavily as the heat of being alone together again began to burn inside the two of you.

The two of you then pulled away and he got up before heading towards the door "Hey, where are you going?" you asked and he looked at you as he grab his brown shoulder bag "I'll be home later, just getting some scrap metal since we just ran out" he put his bag over his right shoulder.  

"I'll join in a minute" you said "Okay Love" he smiled at you before leaving.

You lifted your right wrist and smiled when you saw the bracelet, a chuckled warmly came from you as you stared at the bracelet.

You and Five walked down the stairs to the subway as you were shining the light around and while you went left, he went right before  looking up and he saw a wire with some scrap metal "Okay" he lowered his flashlight before he stretched his arms up to grab the wire.

He pulled the wire a little bit which cause sparks to fly and that made him drop his flashlight as he stumble back.

"Shit" he said as the flashlight landed down by the train tracks "Five, you okay?" you rushed over to him "Yeah, just drop my flashlight" he before jump down to grab it.

But then he spotted something that was laying on a small metal device right below the subway "What the hell?" he asked "What is it?" you asked "There is something down here" he said and you jump down before you shin your flashlight on it to see that it was a notebook.

"Is a notebook" you grab it before you and Five got down on one knee, put the notebook on the ground and used your free hand to opened it while you were using your other hand to shine on the notebook with the flashlight so you and Five could see better and you saw that someone has writing in it.

"This is your handwriting" you said as Five flipped through pages "It is" he nodded.  

When he came to a certain page, you lifted up the notebook and both yours and Five's eyes widened when you realized what the text was saying "Holy shit. This is..." you flipped to the next page to see the drawing of the train and subway, plus the map while stuff was also writing on the two pages.

"This is it. This is...our way home" you said "Yeah" you looked at each other "We did it, we have found a way home" you both smiled "We are finally going home" Five said "Then what are we waiting for? Let's tell Lila and go home" you said and Five nodded before you both got up from the train tracks and rushed back to the greenhouse.

Hope that you like that I change it so there would be no romance between Lila and Five.

Also I HATE their relationship

The Five we all know would never do that towards Diego. Towards his own brother.

I have noticed that many people started hating Five for what happened in season four ep five. But don't only hate Five. Yeah, having a relationship with Lila is so not like him. But I'm not angry at him, hating or pointing fingers at him. The person who I hate is actually Lila. Like no one is talking about the fact that Lila cheated on her husband who she had 3 kids with.

I think we all know that she just didn't wanna feel lovely. I think it was pretty obvious that Five had actually fallen in love with Lila because in any other situation he would never make a bracelet for someone himself. I also think it was pretty obvious that Lila wasn't in love with him, she just saw the opportunity and took it because she didn't wanna feel lonely. She wanted someone to love her.

She knew that Five had been alone for more than half his life and had never experienced any kind of romantic love with a real human being, so Five falling for her was the perfect opportunity for her to not feel lonely. And we can all see perfectly well that Lila wasn't in love with Five by the end of it, because when they came back to everyone, Five still tried to sort of talk to her and save it, but she didn't because she didn't love him, and she acted like their relationship didn't happen, and I feel like she just manipulated him to not feel lonely. Because I noticed the hurt in Five's eyes when she said to Diego 'I never meant to hurt you' I could see how heartbroken Five was. He was actually in love. Lila knew he never kissed anyone or anything like that and knew she could use it because she didn't wanna feel lonely. So I feel like Lila uses Five only for survival. Therefore I hate her the most.

But yeah I also agree that the Five we know would never do it, but I'm most angry at Lila and not Five, that is my opinion. But yeah, I'm disappointed and it ruins both the characters and the rest of the show. And I would rather have Five have a new love interest and then die to save that person than him with Lila.

Therefore I hate Lila the most because she used Five like that. Because she wasn't in love with Five, she just used him and their relationship for survival. Feel like she manipulated him, just so she wouldn't feel lonely and to survive.

But I still hate what happen in that moment and them having a relationship is a big no, hate it, and will never understand why they did it, no reason for that. And like I said I'm disappointed in it, and it ruined the rest of the show and the characters.

Also the whole plot line with them was irrelevant and weird. And just wastes two seasons it took for Diego and Lila to finally be together

I love Lila and Five together, but not as a couple. I love their frenemies. Like they went from hating and want to kill each other to be best friends. And I have believe that those years they were stuck, they just grow closer, no romance, like they saw each other as siblings and cared for each other more, that I have hope happen, not them getting in a relationship. Like in those years they were stuck, Lila would tell Five that she think her marriage is over, but then he would ressure her how much Diego really love her and tells her not to let him go, because finding love like that is rare and she have everything, house, a loving partner and kids so she shall not throw that away, she shall enjoy for as long as she can, because what she have is a dream for many. Then Lila would thank Five, and he'd finally confess that he sees her as a sister/family and she would confess she sees him as a brother/family. I would have loved if that happen instead.

I hate Lila. Using a person like that that is in love with you and show you they love you, but you just using that person, is not okay, it's evil.

One of the thing Steve said about Five's and Lila's romance 'I felt that Five had to have a love story. I mean, he's a 64-year-old man in the body of an 18-year-old. So we thought he could have a love story. And I thought, 'How can he have a love story? He's not the kind of guy who's going to date.' I thought Five needed to be with someone, whether it be a boy or girl. We thought we had an opportunity with Lila. And we tried it. I don't know how the fans are going to take it."Blackman explained that the decision to give Five a love story resulted in the subway storyline, allowing Five and Lila's relationship to evolve over eight years.Most of the fans is actually against Five's and Lila's romance. And hate it.One said "The Five and Lila storyline is extremely pathetic cause neither character would do that to Diego" One said that it actually ruined Five's character and it ruined the showHere is what Aidan and Ritu said Aidan "I think Five doesn't know who he is or how he relates to things. If he really digs down, he is in a dark place and so long as his family's ok, then that's the only thing on his list to check off. It makes this season really beautiful because his character arc goes from not having a purpose to the relationship with Lila giving him a purpose. It's really a beautiful thing to see a character go through. And I think it's really relatable as just a universal human struggle. That was definitely the emotional center for the season."Ritu "They've spent seven years together? Away from life, just them two? I'm sorry, but you're going to feel incredibly connected with someone, no matter what. I feel like, of course there's love there."But I don't think they mean love like that. I think they meant that they got more closer, and that they began to love and each other about each other like family. Like brother and sister. So both Aidan and Ritu was actually against it.

I also found out that the writers have being planning it since Lila came into the show, they just waited until Aidan was over 18. And that is just weird.Ritu thought they were joking, David tried to talk them of it, and Aidan think it was weird. Also imagine being in Ritu's or Aidan's shoes (Of course many girls want to be in Ritu's shoes). Aidan have to 'kiss' someone that is 15 years older than him, and Ritu has to kiss 'Someone' who is 15 years younger (A kid in her eyes) she kinda watch grow up since he was 16 when they started shooting season 2. So therefore I think both actors they didn't like it and think it was weird.

And you can be alone with someone for seven years without anything romance happen.

I rather have Five found someone else in season four and then later losing that person because he is dying together with his family to save his lover and the world. And then maybe say this to that person in the end "Saving the world and the person I love the most at the same time, it's good for me"

The only good thing about Five's and Lila's romance is that we get to see Five's loving side. How he is and how he look like when he is in love. How he look at and act towards the person he is in love with. And we get to hear him say the word "Love" Also Lila didn't deserve Five, he was too good for her. She did him dirty. Kinda use him. I think that Five actually fell in love with Lila in those seven years but she just thought of it as a kinda of 'Survival" So she actually just use Five, saw their relationship as nothing more than survival. Mean which their relationship meant nothing to her but it meant a lot to Five 'cause she was the only real human being he actually fell in love with.So I love Lila and Five together, but NOT as a couple

I think the actors and at least 90% of the fans were against it. I keep thinking what was the writers thinking, especially since they have being planned it since season 2, I mean if they have planned since season 2 that Lila and Five would have some romance going on, why would she then have a relationship with Diego just to get in a relationship with Five later, it's doesn't make sense.

Well, that is my opinion, if you don't agree you are more than welcome to say it. I don't judge, we all have the right to say our opinion without being judge or harassed. It's a free world and everyone have the right to say what is on their mind.
