"Okay, why are we here?" I asked as Five had blinked us to the street "'Cause today is a very speciel day" he said and I looked at him "Today is our anniversary. For today is exactly 46 years since we met for the first time" he said and I smiled "I thought you had forgotten it" I said "Never" he said and I chuckled "And because it's our anniversary. I want to give us both a present" he said "Five, you don't have to--" "Yes I do" he said "Alright what is it?" I asked "Turn around and look" he said as he pointed behind me and I turned around to see a town hall.

"What are we doing here?" I asked "Well, I think it's time we get official married" he answered and my eyes widened before I turned around to look at him and he took my hand before he squeezed it a little bit while he got down on one knee.

Oh my God.

"Y/n Russell, I know that we already are married, but since it wasn't official---" "It was official for us" I said, cutting him off "Well, many people wouldn't say that and also I want to made it right this time. The world had an apocalypse and we were the only survivor so there was no one to officiates the ceremony" he said.

"But why Five?" I asked "I know you told me how religious your parents is about marriage and to make a good first impression when I'm meeting my in-laws for the first time, I think it would be a good idea that we got married" he said "But we are married" you said "Yeah, but we have to have proof that we are married and I know that your parents wouldn't think that wedding rings are enough. So I wanna us to get married again, but this time, I want it to be official. Therefore I had book us a time to get married in the town hall in a few minutes. Beside I also want to proof to you that even so we are not the only people left alive anymore, I would still choose you over everyone else" he said before he took a deep breath.

"So Y/n--" "Yes" I said "Let me finish" he said and I smiled "Y/n Russell will you--" "Yes" I said again and he gave me a look "Sorry" I said with a smile "Y/n Russell will you marry me now again and finally make it official?" he asked and I nodded "Of course" I said and he smiled as he got up before we pressed our lips against each other.

"But we are not in the right outfit" I said "Since when did that became your thing. As long as we both are there is enough" he said and I smiled.

We was sitting in the town hall, waiting for our turn.

I had my side leaned against Five's left side while my arms was hooked with his.

There were three other couples in the waiting room with them and they would often sent some confused glare to Five and I, wondering why two teenagers were here.

"I don't know why I'm this nervous" I said "Cold feet?" Five asked "No" I said before I looked at him "You?" I asked "No" he said and we both let out a chuckled.

"You know, you can still change your mind" he said "I wouldn't. Never" I said "Me neither. Never" he said before we kissed.

We pulled away before resting our forehead against each other with a smile.

The three couples was still looking confused at us which cause us to turn to them.

"Our parents wouldn't let us see each other" Five started "So we decided to get married and then run away together. Live our own life, not having our parents to control it" I said "You can't fight against true love" Five said and the couples nodded before looking away.

Then the door opened and a woman walked out "Five and Y/n" she called out causing us to get up "That's us" we said "The mayor is ready now" the woman said and we nodded.

"Ready to be official?" Five asked as he fix his collar "Ready. You?" I asked "Always ready with you" he said and we smiled to each before they walked into the room.

We were standing in front of each other while the mayor was standing between us.

"Y/n Russell, will you take Five Hargreeves to be your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health. will you love him, will you promise to honor and cherish him, to care for him and protect him till death do you apart?" the mayor asked "I do" I said and the mayor looked at Five "Five Hargreeves. Will you take Y/n Russell to be your lawfully wedded wife in sickness and in health, will you love her, will you promise to honor and cherish her, to care for her and protect her till death do you apart?" he asked "I do" Five said as we were looking at each other with a smile.

"I know that we didn't had a good starts and we hated each other for years. But that hate slowly turned into loving and now I can't see my life without you. As her vows left her mouth, pure love could be heard in her voice, it had always being him and it will always be him.

"The rings?" the mayor asked and Five pulled up a little black box from his blazer pocket before he opened it to reveal two golden wedding rings.

"I know I promised you a ring and I'm sorry that you had to wait that long. The rings are even engraving with our initials, You & me, forever and a day. Till end of time'" he said and I smiled as I  looked at the ring.

"Y/n, place this ring on Five's finger as a symbol of your bond everlasting and the eternal love you feel for each other. They will remind you of the promise you made" the mayor said and I place the ring on Five's finger "Five, place this ring on Y/n's hand as a symbol of the love that encircles you forever and the eternal love you feel for each other. They will remind you of the promise you made" the mayor said and Five place the ring on my finger before we grabbed each other's hands.

"Now that Y/n and Five have given themselves to each other they have made their declarations ...with these vows...and the giving and receiving of rings, and it gives me great pleasure to declare and pronounce them husband and wife" the mayor said before he looked at Five "You may kiss her" he said and Five smiled before he wrapped his arms around Y/n's waist while she wrapped her arms around his neck before Five crashed his lips against hers. At first it's just a gently kiss but it doesn't take long until Five starts to kiss Y/n more fierely with passion.

After Y/n have official changed her last name to Russell-Hargreeves, the two of us walked down the street.

"Now you can see your family again" I said and she smiled before she grabbed my hand.

We were walking down the street, holding hands while kissing and I spun her around sometimes. We look like a new happy married couple, which we were.

Five was one of the kind for me, he was the first to actually see through me and how I really felt.

He was the first person I ever opened up to. I was so soft deep down. I cared so much and he was the only one other than my family who ever saw that side of me, even so I couldn't see it in myself.

I remember the doctor told me that, I should not expect to live a long life cause of my heart. But it seems like he was wrong, I have lived a long life and I was not done living it and I think that is because of Five.

He is my reason to fight and the reason my heart is still beating.

Y/n had something, something no one had. I both saw the inside and the outside of her, I saw her inner beauty, her tough nature and the depths of her intellect, just like she did to me.

I don't think I would have survived the apocalypse without her.

She made me feel less cold and alone.

THIRD PERSON'S POV. 

"This is my street" Y/n said as they turned around a corner "Nervous?" he asked "Yeah. I'm scared that they wouldn't remember me" she said "They are your family, of course they will remember you. Beside you are not someone you forget. It will be okay. I will be here all the way, okay" he said as he grabbed her hand.

Y/n took a deep breath before she lifted her fist, moving closer to the door.

She knocked on the door before taking a step back.

"Okay. Just so you know. Jesse and Gabe will probably like you fast, but my dad and my older brother Robert will probably be overprotected of me and would probably scan you and you have to proof yourself to them" she said "Well, I will do whatever it take to be accepted and welcome into your family and for your family to accept and like me" Five said "They will probably ask you so many question that you will feel like you are being interrogated" she said "I will handle it" he said.

Then the door opened to reveal a young man, he looked like he was around 22.

The man had short light brown hair and brown eyes.

The man's eyes widened when they fell on Y/n "Don't freak not, I don't know if you---" "Y/n" the man said and the couple's eyes widened.

"You know me?" Y/n asked "Of course I do. It's me, Gabe" the man said and your eyes widened "Gabe?" Y/n asked and he nodded before he stepped closer to her "Is this really you?" he asked and she nodded.

"It's me, I know you probably are freaking out but---"

But then Gabe wrapped his arms around her, giving his sister a warm and tight hug. "I knew you would return one day" he said as they hugged each other tighter while Five that was standing a bit behind Y/n smiling when he saw his wife reunited with one from her family.

He knew that she waited on this moment for 46 years, of course this was only one member, but it was better than nothing.

"You knew that I would come home?" Y/n asked as they pulled away "Of course I did, we all did" Gabe said before his eyes scanned her up and down "But how are you still young? It's being over 16 years?" he asked "That is a long story" Y/n said and Gabe spotted Five standing behind Y/n.

"Who is he?" he asked as he pointed on Five "Gabe, this is Five. My husband" Y/n said "Five, as in Five Hargreeves?" Gabe asked and the two nodded "It's nice to finally meet you Gabe, Y/n have told me a lot about you and the rest of her family" Five said as he shook Gabe's hand.

"Wait, hold on Five Hargreeves, one of the members from The Umbrella Academy, those people you hated the most. He is your husband?" Gabe asked confused and the two nodded again "How in hell did that happen?" Gabe asked "It's a long story" Y/n said "I want to hear it all. So come on in" Gabe said and the three walked into the house.

"Okay, let's me get this right" Gabe said as he put down his mug of coffee.

We were all sitting in the living room. Five and I was sitting next to each other on the couch while Gabe was sitting on a chair that was across from the couch and on the other side of a coffee table.

"You woke up to see that you are in an apocalypse. There you meet Five Hargreeves who by accident got stuck because of his powers. And the two of you then spend 46 years in the apocalypse where in those years, you fell in love, got married" Gabe said as he looked at us and we nodded "And the reason you are in your younger bodies it's because Five got the equations wrong and now you have stopped the apocalypse, got married official and now you are here" Gabe said and we nodded again.

"That is quite a story" Gabe said.

"I know it sound crazy" Five said "And you probably don't believe us" I said "I actually do" Gabe said and we raised an eyebrow in confusing "You do?" we asked and Gabe nodded "I do. I never stopped believing in things like that, no matter how crazy they sound" he said before he glanced between Five and I "I just still can't believe you married each other" Gabe said "Neither can we" we said "How in hell did you did that even happen?" Gabe asked "We don't know" Five said "I just think we say something in each other that we didn't see the day before" I said "It was in a world of nothing, but someone I was able to find anything in her" Five said before he grabbed my hand and I looked at him with a smile.

"I thought you would rather stab yourself than date one of them" Gabe said "Let's just say that I judged them too fast" I said.

"I will let you two talk" Five said, giving me a kiss on the cheek before he grabbed the three empty mugs and got up, going to the kitchen to clean up.

"Do you even know how to clean?" I asked "I will figure it out" Five said before he enter the kitchen.

"I have never seeing you like this, sis" Gabe said and I looked back at my brother "Five Hargreeves must really be something special to made you fall in love with him" he said "He is something special. I love him more than anything" I said "And it's hard to believe that you hated him so much that you want nothing to do with him or his siblings, but now you are a part of their family now" he said "Well, the first years in the apocalypse, we hated each other so much that we wanted to punch each other, but that hate turn into loving and now we can't imagine a life without each other" I said "So it was a hate to lover story, the two of you have?" he asked and I nodded.

"You know, we were really scared over that you were dead cause of the doctor told us about your heart" Gabe said "Yeah, well I think Five became the medicine that my heart needed. He gave my heart a reason to beat, he gave me a reason to live" I said and Gabe smiled "We all knew that you would find someone like that" Gabe said and I nodded with a smile.

"So. Where is mom, dad, Jesse and Robert?" I asked "Mom and Dad is out, they are staying at a hotel and wouldn't be home until tomorrow morring. Jesse is living at the other side of the town with his boyfriend and Robert are living about 30 minutes away. He have even gotten a wife" he replied "Robert has a wife?" I asked, a little surprise since he was such a playboy.

"Yeah, who would have thought about that" Gabe said with a smile "And Jesse has a boyfriend" I said and Gabe nodded "Yeah, and they are both nice and kind people" he said "What about you? Met anyone in your life?" I asked and he shook his head "Have had a few dates, but haven't found the one yet" he said "Be patient, there is someone out there for you. I mean, I was 30 before Five and I got married and we first fell in love when we were 25 and had our first kiss at 26. So be patient" I said and he nodded.

"Do you remember how you ended in a coma and how you even mangaged to survive the apocalypse?" he asked and I shook my head "No" you said "Well, the doctors couldn't explain why you wouldn't wake up or age" Gabe said before he let out a sigh "I'm really glad you are back big sis. I have really missed you, we all have" he said and you smiled "I'm glad too and I have missed you too. All of you" I said.

"Are you staying?" Gabe asked and I nodded "I am, 'cause now when the apocalypse is over, I have nothing to worry about" I said "Well, mom, dad, Robert and Jesse are gonna be so happy when they see you" he said "I can't wait, 'cause when they are home, Five and I have talked to hold a ceremony party to celebrate that Five and I are married and that we are finally back home" I said "And that you have come home" he said and I nodded "Yeah and Five's siblings is also invited so you guys can all meet each other" I said "That sound like an amazing idea" he said.

But suddenly the sound of explosion in the distant was heard.

"What the hell was that?" Gabe asked as we both got up.

"Love" Five said as he rushed into the living room, holding a newspaper in his hands "Did you hear that?" I asked as I looked at my husband and he nodded "I did, and it's not good" he said "What is it?" I asked and he walked over to me before showing me the newspaper.

"Shit" I said as I realized that it was not over.

"What is going on?" Gabe asked and we looked at him "I'm sorry Gabe but I have to go" I said "Why? What is going on?" Gabe asked "It's best you don't know" I said and he nodded "I get it. I understand. Go, be careful" he said "I will and I promise I will be right back, as soon as I have fix this" I said before giving him a quick hug.

FIVE'S POV.

They pulled away and Y/n rushed over to the door "Take care of her. Always be that hero that I believe you and your siblings were" Gabe said to me and I nodded before I rushed after Y/n.

"Let's go" I said before I grabbed her hand and blinked us to the Academy.

Flashback start...

We were 18 years old and we were both sitting by the fire. "I don't understand, why do you even want to stay with me, cause I think I must not be easy to tolerate?" she asked "You are not. You make me want to kill myself or makes me want to punch you, but I know that if I punch you, you will punch me right back just harder and I don't want any more bones broken or anymore black marks on my body" I said before I looked at her "Why are you even staying with me?" I asked "Cause you are my only ticket out of this hellhole" she said "I'm flattered" I said sarcastically.

"But you still didn't answer my question, why are you even staying with me, cause I think you rather be alone completely than having me at your side" she said "I will" I said "Then why are you still staying with me?" she asked "I actually don't know" I said before I looked down at my finger "Cause I don't want to die or be alone" I mumbled but she heard me which cause her to look at me.

A/N: This is also one of my favorite chapters in this book, also took me a long time to write.

I had a plan that Gabe would come with them, but there was just some scenes where I couldn't put him in, so I just decided that he wouldn't go with them.
