It was one fine spring day.

I was only 8 years old.

When my father brought a boy to our house.

he has this curly hair, funny ears, quite shorter than me.

"Welcome home son" my mom greets the little boy

"Baekhyun ya. Say welcome to him. His name is Park Chanyeol, he will be your little brother from today onwards"

My brother? Who is he? My mom's belly didn't become big or she never did go to hospital but, how come this little boy became my brother.

"Son, what is your name and how old are you? please introduce yourself to your hyung and me" - my mom says

"Park Chanyeol.. 6 year old" my new little brother says

He was smiling which made me hate him. Is he going to steal my mom and dad?

Why would he become my little brother?

"Baekhyun ya.. be good to your little brother" dad says

no... i don't like him. not even a little.

My mom and dad's loves are only for me.

First night -

As expected, he sleeps in my room.

Aish! i don't want to sleep with him.

"ya!" i say as i sit on my bed and he's standing in front of me. "who are you?"

"My name is Park Chanyeol. I am 6 years old" he says (Read in a baby voice keke)

"i know that. Why do you come to our family? are you going to take away my parents?"

"No. Uncle Byun told me to follow him so I did."

"why? where are your parents?"

"They are visiting this place called heaven. Uncel byun said. So i need to stay here until mom and dad come back"

"eh? are you crazy? Heaven?"

"yes. why hyung? is that place very far? will they be late?"

"You are stupid huh? Heaven means where dead people go. Are your parents dead?"

A real stupid person was me. I was very stupid.

He started getting teary and cried out loud.

Mom and dad rushed into my room and found out what happened.

After that, dad takes me to their room while mom keeps him calm.

"Baekhyun ya.. I know you are still young but, he is younger isn't he?" dad says

"Yes"

"and as you already know... his parents passed away. He is only 6 and how can we just live him alone right?"

"right"

"So, my kind baekhyun needs to take care of him.. as his hyung, from now on"

"but... will he get all yours and mom's love?"

"No baekhyun ya.. you will get all our loves. Since you are a very kind kid, you need to share with that little boy. okay?"

"Okay"

"my boy is very nice huh?"

"hehe.. am I?"

"of course. So tomorrow, say sorry to that boy and let's share our love to him. Okay?"

"Okay dad"

Two kid were left alone in the house since their parents go to work.

Baekhyun on bed and chanyeol on the floor.

"Ya" baekhyun calls

"Nae hyung" the younger one answers

"My mom and dad.. we will share their love. Be equal. Okay?"

Chanyeol sits up.. "Really hyung??"

"Aww. Be equal. And...you don't need to be sad. My parents are the best."

"Nae~" that kid says and smiles at baekhyun.

Ehhhh.... why does he smile that brightly? I would be so gloomy and crying if my parents leave the world.

"Wait here" baekhyun says and walks out of the room.

After a few moments.......

Baekhyun comes in ... he's hiding something behind his back.

"Here" baekhyun gives out

Ice popsicle

"Wow!" Chanyeol shouts in happiness

"I'm going to share my favourite strawberry popsicle with you"

"Hyung!" 🥺

"From now on, after we fight, give each other popsicles and we will definitely stop being mad and make up.. okay?"

"Omm... promise hyung"

"Promise"
