Chapter Sixteen

Kimora's POV

"Lonely, I'm Miss lonely, I have nobody for my own..." Charlotte sang dramatically and screamed with her cracking voice at the backseat of the car, "Own...."

"No, don't do that, please." Charlotte pleaded with a whine as she quickly held Soleil's forearm to stop her from changing the music on the radio.

"You're embarrassing me, Lotte," Soleil muttered as I giggled at them. That was enjoyable watching the sisters bickering on a long drive journey. Deep down, I knew they love and care for each other. Even though Soleil never verbally admit how much she care for her sister but she did share a lot about Charlotte with me.

Soleil always complained that Charlotte was annoying and awful, but I could see the smile on her face whenever she mentioned her sister.

It was funny and entertaining to listen to their past. Soleil had shared plenty of their crazy and adventure stories. Most of the ideas suggested by Charlotte and when they are caught by Summer, the mother had to punish them.

Somehow, Soleil told me Charlotte was always being protective and sweet begging her mom to punish her instead involved Soleil. Summer had to be a great parent, she insisted to punish both of them as a lesson.

Well, things would never change once they had started. Charlotte was still taking Soleil to sneak out for supper or sundae at the midnight after so much punishment from Summer to them.

Soleil admitted she miss those sweet and memorable times a lot. Charlotte less doing that with her after she broke up with her ex-girlfriend. She more focus on her job after that, but she would occasionally ask Soleil to take her for supper and have girls talk.

"So, mom said sharing is caring, can we share Kimmy?" Charlotte joked as she chastely leaned behind my seat and I saw Soleil wave Charlotte away and whined, "Go away!"

I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"So petty!" Charlotte complained and sighed, "Fine." she turned to me and asked nicely, "Can we share our Sunshine, please?"

I nodded my head in agreement as she grinned, "Thanks Kimmy. You're so much more sweet than Sunshine." she shifted her body behind Soleil's seat and wrapped her arms around Soleil's shoulders, and said happily, "Yay, Kimmy said we can share our sunshine!"

"Stop it, Lotte! I'm driving." Soleil groaned as she slapped her sister's arms but Charlotte remained holding her sis and said sweetly, "Your girlfriend said yes, Sunshine." Charlotte let her eyes close leaned her head against the headrest as Soleil shook her head and muttered, "You're so annoying. I shouldn't agree on mothers letting you join us."

"Well, you have no choice. The double couple already filled the car. So, I have to be a sweet third wheel of yours," Charlotte said in a light shrug.

"It's so much fun you join us on this ride, Lotte," I assured her as her eyes flew open and grinned at me, "Really?"

I nodded my head and smiled in return, "Yes, I already like you. You're awesome."

Charlotte happily raised her hand for me to hit hi-five I gladly hit in return as she beamed, "I already like you too! My Sunshine so lucky to meet you."

"I'm lucky too," I chuckled at her as I took Soleil's free hand on my lap, my lovely sun baby glanced at me with a sweet smile before shifting her eyes to the windshield to focus on the road.

In the meantime, Charlotte already let her eyes close hugging her sister from behind. Soleil was having a happy smile and glanced at her older sister's arms around her as she quickly patted it before focused the road again.

I was melted for seeing the sisterly love as I leaned in Soleil with a hand slipped on her left cheek. I pecked her right cheek and smiled at her side profile, "I'm getting like you more, sun baby."

Soleil leaned in my hand and smiled, "Lotte was right. I'm so lucky to have you."

"I pecked her cheek once again before leaning back in my seat and I gently squeezed her hand on mine, "Me either."

We frowned when we heard a funny voice. After a split second, we snickered when we found out Charlotte had already fallen asleep and she was snoring behind Soleil.

It's been a month Soleil and I were together, we were happily having our journey to a short vacation after Soleil and her family suggested joining them. My moms gladly agreed and they said it was a great Christmas break for us.

We would have a cheese and wine buffet at the wine bar vineyard which was held on Christmas Eve and also a great time to celebrate mom's birthday and Christmas celebration at the same time.

Also, we booked a homestay which was only next to the wine bar vineyard and it was only 10 minutes away from the town. We were happy with the location that we could easily get some food and hang out in these coming few days. Besides, Soleil's side had already done some research on the great places for us to spend time around this town.

Since it was snowing and the journey to the place we stay was about 5 hours away from our home, the drivers would have a hard time than usual seeing the road. We decided to take a break at the diner to have our brunch.

We were enjoyable shared so much fun and jokes while having our meals, it was surprisingly so much fun having a vacation with Soleil's family. I was thinking moms and Soleil's moms would look forward to another trip like this again by evidence the 4 of them were giggling in their women's talk which we didn't fully catch it.

The parents also dismissed us to join their adult topics since we were their kids.

We, the trio of kids were happily having ice cream and waffles and enjoyed the sweetness. Thankfully we were sharing the same taste. So, we could have more variety of tastes to share.

After spending more time talking with the sisters, I learned that Charlotte hated to watch horror movies like me, but my sun baby loved that very much. She was so handy and keep teasing Charlotte and my poor soul about something scary about the homestay we would stay.

Charlotte and I keep attacking Soleil by slapping her arms to stop her, but I melted when I saw my sun baby was having her adorable and contagious laughter when she teased us.

"Stop it, Sunshine! I'll sleep in your room tonight if you keep telling us the paranormal activity series!" Charlotte whined as Soleil keep laughing heartily. She seemed was proud that she could irritate her sister. I chuckled at them as I fed Soleil ice cream for stopping her bullied Charlotte and my poor soul for listening to her horror topic.

🍯🍯🍯

We eventually reached the homestay, I could tell Soleil need to sleep badly before the buffet. She insisted to drive without letting me drive because she knew I had Astigmatism, and she doubt her sister's driving skills.

The homestay didn't disappoint us, it was a double-story house with 4 bedrooms and an attached bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. There had a porch which would be nice to take a rest and chill in spring or summer.

The owner of the homestay was thoughtful. They already made a snowman right outside of the house, with the light Christmas vector decoration put around the white fence and a wooden bench swing was next to a Christmas tree. Somehow, the snow already coated the decor.

We parked our cars inside the attached garage which was next to the house. Thankfully, we didn't need to go out from the garage, and we could directly enter the house without going out to deal with the freezing weather.

Especially, Soleil was so much grateful about it because she hate cold. She refused to take outdoor shooting in the winter season, and most of the time would be indoor shooting. So, she was technically having a winter break.

Soleil already wrapped the blanket around her like a maggot laying in the bed while I was relaxing next to her and watching something fun on the TV. The elderly decided to take the two rooms downstairs of the house, we trio took another two rooms upstairs, and Charlotte will stay next to our room.

Charlotte was paranoid after Soleil's horror storytelling. She insisted we couldn't close the door while she was having a shower in her bathroom because she wanted to hear the voices from us as her companion.

"I'm Done! You guys have fun!" I heard Charlotte yell happily when she walked past our room as she locked the doorknob for us and whispered, "Just keep the voice down later. Here is bad soundproof." She clicked her tongue and winked before shutting it.

I gently tugged the blanket from Soleil wrapped the blanket around me, and spooned her taller frame as she shivered and said shakily, "You're so cold, bear."

"That's why we need to snuggle. You can't wrap yourself in the blanket without me," I murmured and nestled my face on her back.

I circled my arms around her waist as I mumbled on her warm skin, "Turn around, honey."

Soleil tried to shift and turned around as I connected my lips to hers and she instantly returned. We sighed in between our lips as my arms circled her back to keep her warm.

She deepened the kiss as she slipped her hands beneath my sweater and wandered around my back. I moaned comfortably in her touch as she said sloppily in between our lips, "If I know this could keep me warm, I won't hate winter anymore."

I giggled and gently bit her lips, " I should take a winter break just for you."

She giggled and nibbled my lips in return and said, "I'd love that."

"Come on, let's get a shower and get ready." I chuckled and reached one of my hands tangled her hair and gently caressed her cheek.

She pursed her lips on my lips and mumbled, "I wanna skip for today. I hate cold."

"No, honey. Get up and shower." I command and gently pinched her face.

"Ouch," she pursed her lips again and I smiled at her cuteness. She would be a big baby whenever she was unwilling to do something.

"Honey, please. Go get a shower. So, we don't have to shower again later," I pleaded and gently cupped her face to make her open her eyes to look at me. I knew puppy eyes were her weakness. When her cute eyes fluttered open I shot her that face, "Please?"

She sighed as she still pursed her lips, "Okay, can we cuddle for a while, please?"

I pecked her lips, "Okay." I gently pressed her head to my chest and caressed the back of her head as she sighed softly on my chest. I grinned at her loveliness as I pecked the top of her head.

After an hour of Soleil's delay and getting ready, all of us finally arrived at the wine bar vineyard. We already reserved the turkey and set meal for our dinner and enjoyed the buffet wine and cheese in there.

The place was cozy and filled with a few big groups of families like us. Most of them were older couples with a bunch of their children and grandchildren.

Soleil's mood seemed better because of the nice temperature in this place. She was happily eating the turkey and her fish and chips set, talking about food and places for vacation with her parents and mom.

In the meantime, I was engaged with Charlotte and mommy because their topic was interesting. Most of the time they would talk and shared about business and finance topics.

After a few hours of spending time here, the environment seemed to get so much fun. Most of the guests here including us were getting high after so much alcohol. All of us happily blended in with each other dancing and circling the tables with laughter.

Also, I had no idea how our parents ended up challenging another couple on the monopoly board game. We trio decided to chill and chat with the family couple around our ages. They had shared a lot of their newly parenting experience and Soleil paid so much attention to them.

Charlotte playfully bumped my shoulder as she mocked her sister and I laughed along with her. Soleil and I were getting tipsy and a little tired. We decided to call it a night, but our parents were overjoyed in their board game and decided to stay. So, the trio returned to the homestay without the parents.

After an hour of our slumber, I was awakened by the weird voice of the wooden swing swinging along with the kids giggling echo outside of the room.

The voice had been disturbing me and I didn't want to overthink it. I was getting worried and couldn't stand the noise anymore and lifted my face to call out to Soleil in a whisper, "Did you hear that, honey?"

Soleil furrowed her eyebrows a little with her pouty lips and asked groggily, "What voice, bear? Charlotte is snoring perhaps?"

"No," I heard those voices again and whispered sharply, "Did you hear that?"

Soleil hummed and said lazily, "Maybe the kids played around from the wine bar."

"They already went back to their hotel with their parents. I don't think there have any kids since here don't have any other house or building beside the vineyard," I argued and I screamed as Soleil scrunched her face while the door was being pounded and followed by Charlotte's voice, "Open the door, please! Let me in!"

"Come on in, Lotte! We didn't lock the door," I called out.

The door swung open as I saw Charlotte was in her thick sweater and sweatpants with a pair of thick socks. She was hugging a pillow and quickly shut and locked the door. She briskly laid next to Soleil and exclaimed, "Those kids scared the shit out of me! They were laughing and pounding my door just now!"

"You heard that too?" I asked as Charlotte nodded her head eagerly.

Soleil groaned in annoyed when she felt her sis next to her and said, "Get back to sleep, Lotte."

Charlotte slapped Soleil's back and retorted, "That's all your fault, Sunshine! I already told you not to share your stupid story while we at outside. Now we lure the ghost around."

"They don't exist, Lotte," Soleil said impatiently.

"Hey, you had promised me that you and your wife will take care of me whenever I need remember?"

I suppose was worried but I was entertained by their funny conversation. I chuckled as Soleil said sleepily with a frown, "I only promised we will take care of you when you're depress. Not this stupid nonsense."

Charlotte and I screamed and squeezed into Soleil when we heard the door knocking and the kids' laughter appear again, followed by the footsteps faint and the door from downstairs opened.

"Wake up, Sunshine. Go check it out." Charlotte commanded and nudged Soleil's shoulder.

"You go. It's freezing outside," Soleil muttered.

"Soleil Newton, just go! I'm begging you since you're the bravest in this room. Maybe the ghost will be scared of you," Charlotte whined and keep nudging her sister's shoulder as Soleil groaned in annoyance, "Just sleep and forget about it."

"We have to check it out. What if any bad people break into the house. That's what I'm concerned now." I reasoned as Charlotte nodded her head in agreement.

Soleil eventually lets her eyes flutter open as she sighed in defeat, "Okay."

"Whipped!" Charlotte snorted as she left the bed and rummage Soleil's luggage to take a coat and glove to put on while she took Soleil's coat from the jacket stand and the glove on the desk to throw on the bed knowing her sister would take everything slowly.

I already put on my coat and glove, stood next to Charlotte, and waited for Soleil who was just in the progress of leaving the comfy bed reluctantly.

Charlotte and I held each of Soleil's arms side to side and Soleil shuffled her steps lazily. Right, we couldn't blame a poor girl who wasn't sober and didn't rest much after the long drive.

We were letting Soleil shield us and carefully looked around while we walked down the stairs and we found out the front door already opened ajar. Soleil eagerly walked out of the house to check and we insisted to be aware and worried if any bad people were already in the house.

The living room seemed coast and clear we briskly walked toward to pick up our ugg boots and left the house, I shriek when I felt something freezing hit on my face and followed by Charlotte's shriek.

"Ouch!" Soleil finally yelped.

I was relieved but speechless at the same time after I heard the familiar laughter from our parents. I quickly wipe the mess on my face and rested my hands on my waist and exclaimed, "Seriously guys. It's not April fool."

"Well, Christmas is coming soon. We should have a snow fight," Summer was giggling with mom and they were wrapping their arms around each other's shoulders. They finally stop laughing and heaving after their long hyper laughter.

When I looked around I rolled my eyes at mommy and Charli. They were sitting at the wooden bench swing like a pair of happy kids, and that made sense had the funny swinging voice.

"I can't!" Summer was laughing till wiping off her tears and mom played the kids' laughter voice as they laughed again, and Mommy and Charli were relaxing and smiling while watching us.

"Let's revenge! What do you think, guys?" Charlotte huffed as Soleil threw out her hands and surrendered, "I love mom and I can't attack my girlfriend's mom."

"Aww. So sweet," Summer and mom were cooing Soleil like a baby.

"Traitor!" Charlotte retorted.

"Fine, let's team up, Kimmy," Charlotte yelled with laughter I eagerly nodded my head and we started scooping the snow. The two blonde ladies quickly hide behind Soleil to shield them and we just threw on their side without care to hit Soleil since she wanna be a good girl for the parents.

"Stop fighting guys! Mama helps me, please," Soleil whined as we all burst out laughing and the four of us keep throwing the snow with each other.

"Give me a hand, honey," Summer giggled while throwing the snow on our side and hiding behind Soleil and mom did the same. Soleil shielded her face with her arms to block the snow from us.

"Nah, I'm not into drama," I heard Charli chuckle from behind.

"Asshole!" Summer retorted and we all laughed at them.

"Okay, I have enough." Mom finally surrendered as we stopped. Mom pulled Charlotte next to her and Summer tugged me closer to her. The two blonde moms shared a look and Summer whispered, "What about we team up to throw Charli and Keira on the snow."

We grinned and gave a nod in agreement and Soleil happily teamed up with us because she was upset Charli didn't help her. Five of us walked toward the pair sitting on the swing as they shared a look before seeing us weirdly.

Mommy laughed as she gently nudged Charli's shoulder and said, "We seemed like getting in trouble." They quickly stood up and started running away from us as we quickly ran toward them.

Charlotte decided to team up with me and mom to carry mama seemed she was taller, Soleil and Summer will attack Charli.

The two ladies were finally seized by us as mom yelled excitedly, "Ready?"

"Yes!" we all yelled excitedly in return.

"One, Two, Three!" mom yelled as we swung mommy and Charli on the snow, they laughed and started scooping the snow to attack us.

We all ran and jumped toward them and continue the snow fight. In the meantime, the Christmas songs echo from the wine bar, and we eventually stopped and rest.

"Merry Christmas, guys, and happy birthday, baby," Mom grinned happily at us before she hugged mommy and pecked her lips.

We all shared a happy greeting with each other and birthday wishes to mommy, and we were sat in the circle. The double couple was already side hugging each other happily. Soleil gently wrapped an arm around my shoulder to pull me closer and did the same to Charlotte on her other side.

I happily wrapped my arms around Soleil's waist rested my head on her shoulder as Charlotte happily rested her head on Soleil's other side of the shoulder and said in delighted, "You're so sweet, sis."

"Go away," I could hear Soleil say with a contained smile as she remained side hugging her sis.

I looked around and I felt a warmth in my heart watching our parents were laughing with their talks and staring at us happily and felt Soleil next to me.

I eventually turned to face Soleil as she already staring at me with a tender smile and pecked my lips as I grinned at her sweetness.

"What about we make snow angels?" Charlotte asked excitedly as we all happily agreed and laid down to do it.

"I'll fall asleep if we keep doing like that," I heard mom say sleepily.

"The night is still young. Let's have cake and champagne after this," I heard Summer suggest.

"Yes, let's have cake!" I chimed.

"What are we waiting for?" Charlotte said excitedly as we laughed.

"Let's race into the house. The loser has to serve cake and champagne," Summer said as we all started running into the house.

A/N: And oh, Happy April Fool ;)
