Chapter Eight

Kimora's POV

I shook my head when I heard mom and mommy's giggle muffled out from the lounge along with the soft music.

I rolled my eyes once I entered the lounge when I saw mom was sitting at the stool of the bar with propped her elbows on the bar table rested her chin on her both open palms thinking she was looking cute. Mommy was enjoying holding Soleil's camera to shoot pictures of mom.

I was second-hand embarrassed for them acting like high school girls. "I regret to let them take care of your baby," I turned as I found Soleil was holding her mobile to take picture of them. She turned to me and asked sweetly, "Wanna join them?"

I grinned as I stepped a few steps further for her to take a photo of mine, but I was still holding her hand. It was being comfortable stay like this and I hope she won't mind about it.

I simply touched the lock of my hair with my free hand as smiled at her and asked, "Am I look good enough for a shot with them?"

"Very much," Soleil said with a wide smile and I like it very much. I would always smile whenever I saw she did that because she was so adorable.

I was still mad at that pathetic guy who threw so many harsh words at her. If I were her I would kick his gut to shut him up. This idiot was totally blind and never know she was gorgeous down to the earth.

Speaking of, I was holding her hand like that. Was it too much to do that? What if she had a boyfriend or a girlfriend? I quickly loosened my hand from her but her hand still held mine. My eyes stared at our hand as I wait for a few beats before I held her hand again.

One, two, three...

I grinned at her hand and I gently held her hand as my eyes returned to her pretty face and I studied her close-up features. That day I was in a hurry but I still remembered she had a pair of ocean blue eyes looking innocent and cute.

I enjoyed watching her take photos whenever her lovely blue eyes were full of passion and a smile always put on her face after a shot she had taken.

Again, I was right. She smiled again after her thumb pressed to take a picture. I smirked at her as I took her phone away from her. I stared at her face as I chuckled at her because her face tinted and her smile became shy. I could tell she had already taken a few pictures of me when I was carried away.

She didn't stop me to look at her phone as I started swiping the pictures in her phone as I laughed, "Hey, that's not nice you take so many pictures of us without telling me."

I laughed at my comical facial expression, some were grinning, frowning in concentration, and the last one I was smiling in her direction.

I was surprised and couldn't recognize the way I was staring at someone. It was different. "Okay, send these to me too," I said as I returned the phone to Soleil and she slipped her phone into her pocket.

"I'm sorry for the delay, let's go," I quickly said and walked toward my moms as the couple already sitting next to each other, mommy's coat already taken off and draped around mom's back. Their back was facing us, but I guess might be something I have to stop them before a third person will see their cheesiness.

They were face to face and giggling as their face was inching closer as I cleared my throat, "Oh hi, moms."

The couple eventually turn to us as they seemed to like it wasn't a big deal for them. Mommy turned to hold the camera as she gently squeezed mom's shoulder before she stood up and approached Soleil.

"Pardon me if I have taken many pictures of Ophelia." she chuckled apologetically as she glanced at mom and back to Soleil and added, "I couldn't help myself whenever this gorgeous is too irresistible for me."

I could tell mommy was a little tipsy because her face was already red after taking alcohol. And mom was never better than mommy. She wrapped her arms around mommy as she turned to face her and giggled, "I told ya, You're so whipped, baby."

Mommy chuckled at her, "But you enjoyed it, Lia."

"Shall we?" I asked and I expected I would be the driver to send us home since we came here in one car.

Mom shook her head as she clicked her tongue and wagged her finger, "The night is still young," she grinned at mommy and said, "I have so much time to spend with mommy in here. I don't think we will go home with you, baby girl."

"We'll overnight in the suite," Mommy added as mom squealed happily, "You're lovely."

Mommy gently patted mom's head as she turned to me, "I don't think we can drive for tonight, but we might need a car to go home tomorrow." she turned to Soleil and asked, "Will that trouble you if we ask you to send Kimmy home for us?"

"Mommy," I stared at her in disbelief.

"Not at all. We're neighbors," Soleil said with a smile.

I pointed at my moms and I said, "I'm so disappointed in both of you. You're leaving me home alone for tonight."

"Hey, I'm doing you a favor, Kimmy," mom said drowsily as she wiggled her eyebrows with her eyes shifted to me and Soleil back and forth.

I felt heat rush my face as I quickly made our conversation short, "Okay, have fun moms. Good night."

We bid goodbye as I was leaving the lounge with Soleil in our hand in hand. I turned back to warn my moms playfully, "Behave."

Mom wiggling her fingers as she blew a kiss at me remained her arms around Mommy's arm.

Soleil and I returned to the hall as she started to pack her tools and put her camera into a bag carefully and last she held a black leather jacket and offered, "You'd need this."

"What about you?" I asked in concern.

"I have another jacket in my car. I will take that if I need." She said as she was holding the jacket to gesture to me for her to put it on me.

I gladly stepped closer to her and turned my back facing her, so I could slip in my arms in the sleeves of her leather jacket. She gingerly pulled the jacket to wrap around me like worry she would scratch my skin.

I eventually felt the jacket was so Soleil. Her fragrance was engulfed me as I immediately knew the smell. "It's lavender. You like lavender, don't you?"

"Yes, I like lavender and jasmine too. I used jasmine last time and now this is newly bought for my birthday."

"When is your birthday?" I asked as I turned to her.

"I'm sharing the same birthday with Lotte. It's 21st October." she smiled at me and said, "We're earlier than you a 10 days."

"Right, we can throw a party together when our birthday month is coming." I grinned at her.

"Sure. We can have this in next year since our birthday just passed," she said.

I gently held one of her bags and offered, "Let me do a little favor for a nice person like you sending me home."

She shook her head at me and said, "That's fine. I can take care of them."

"Are you worried I will spoil your babies?"

"No, no. I would never think about you like that. I believe you are a careful person," Soleil explained and I was quite entertained to see her like that when she was a little worried she would get offended me.

"May I?" I gently hold one of her bags as she smiled and handed a bag of her tools for me. With that, I held her hand again as we started leaving and went to the car park to find her car.

Once we touched down basement level, I only see an older version of a silver color ford SUV. Overall it looks like a new car even though it was older than our ages.

We approached the Ford SUV as Soleil unlocked her car, opened her trunk as she started putting the bag of her babies into it. I stepped next to her as I passed the bag with me to her by knowing she was well-organized placing the stuff. Unlikely, me. I was a mess. I thought she would be shocked if she saw my room.

Would she not gonna like me after she sees my room? But I would never hide if I want someone to get to know me more.

"Your car trunk is neat," I commented as I watched her arrange the bags she had put in and make sure all were placed in order like a shelf of the books in the library which already put in place.

"I did this because I just want to be easier to get them whenever I need," she explained while her eyes still studying the stuff she put in as she used a finger to count them and she nodded her head and shut the lid of the trunk.

I knew it was the sign for us to leave as I walked to the passenger side I stared at her curiously because she was walking next to me. She stepped to the car door before me and she opened the door wide for me.

I knew I was grinning like an idiot and said with a hint of delight, "Thank you, gentlewoman."

Before I climbed up the car, she approached behind me and carefully held my forearms to support me to get into her car. I was relieved to climb into her car nicely without awkward. Thank you for her thoughtful gesture.

I felt the passenger car door was shut and followed by her getting in her car. I was expecting she would crawl into her car as no one cares, but she didn't. I would crawl into the car if I wasn't wearing a dress.

I couldn't judge a book by its cover, even though the way she dressed was androgynous and badass, it didn't mean her behavior would be boyish, right? I couldn't put my finger into her type and style. She could be an elegant lady, but the way she dressed was a badass.

I remembered the first day I met her was in a simple color, plain white shirt beneath her flannel shirt, a pair of jeans, and the same boot she was wearing now. I was thinking she prefer everything in simple and easy for her to work. Somehow, her appearance was the same as her photography skill. Effortless.

I was envious of her that she was effortless in everything, everyone will like her at first sight. She was not only gorgeous but also likable. Especially her adorable smile everyone will die for it or keep her in their arms.

"Kimora?" I blinked my eyes as I quickly stared at her and asked, "Yes?"

She chuckled shyly and asked, "Would you like to have supper with me?" in the split second, our stomachs were taking a role making noises like they could hear our conversation. We couldn't help but burst out laughing at our comical.

"Yes, please. Our stomachs are already complaint. We couldn't make them upset, right," I said with laughter as I wiped off my tears.

"Any food you wanna eat?" Soleil asked as she was trying to calm down her laughter.

"I'm not picky. You can pick anything you like," I said.

"What about 1901 sausage sandwich?" she asked as our stomachs growled again.

"It seemed like our stomachs already decided for us," I joked as she laughed and nodded her head, "You're right. I've been craving for it since last week."

"I'm craving for cheese flavor."

"You like cheese too?" Soleil asked and she seemed anticipated about it as she was grinning from ear to ear.

"I love cheese," I admitted.

"That's great. I can take you to a cheese buffet someday." she smiled softly while she was focusing on the road.

"Seriously? When will you take me there?" I asked excitedly.

She stared at me before focusing on the road and said, "It's not too soon. It organizes a quarter of the year. It would be on Christmas day."

"That's mommy's birthday. That's sad."

"We can go there together with our parents. There not only has cheese also free flow for wine. I assured wine lovers like our mothers would be happy to be there." She smiled at me.

"That's cool."

"It is. That's also my plan to have a Christmas trip with my family." she paused for a while and added, "I uh- I'm thinking you like cheese and I'm too happy to ask you to join us. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to skip your mothers until you told me it was Keira's birthday and I felt bad for that.

"No, silly," I chuckled at her cuteness and explained, "You're nice to suggest I could take my moms to go with me after you knew it would be mommy's birthday."

"Thank you," She smiled and pointed, "We almost there." she pulled up her car near the empty bench which was right next to the 1901 food truck. "Do you prefer to eat in the car or at the bench?"

"At the bench of course. I already have your nice jacket with me. I won't catch a cold." I quickly added, "Don't forget to put on your jacket too. You would catch a cold."

She smiled softly at me, "I will."

She threw a denim jacket with fur beneath it on her and she was looking badass now. She asked me to stay in the car as I obediently listen to her. I would never say no to a nice person like her.

She reached my side as she opened the car door, offered her hand for me and I gladly held her hand for her to help me get out of the car. She walked us to the bench as she carefully let me sit on the bench. She remained standing next to me and asked sweetly, "Any dressing you wanna add on besides cheese?"

"Ketchup, mustard, and barbecue sauce," I said.

A peal of cute laughter escape from her lips as she said, "I thought I had a weird taste. I never expect you like these three combinations too."

"Hey, they all good to put together," I whined.

"I know. They're heaven." she chuckled, "I'll be right back, okay?"

I grinned and nodded my head, "Yes, and come back to me sooner, please." I playfully shot puppy eyes to her as she grinned at me with nodded her head before she jogged to the food truck.

She didn't take long as she was holding two wrapped sausage buns walked toward me and she was looking cute like worried she would drop them on the floor.

I smiled when I felt her next to me again as I quietly scoot closer to her to keep me warm. "Be careful. It's hot," she said softly before she carefully unwrapped the food in half and handed it to me.

I thanked her before I took the bun from her as I was pleased after I felt the taste of sauce filling my tastebud. I couldn't help but continue to attack the food and soon all the delicious supper already filled in my stomach. You couldn't blame me I was insane to gym and diet on my food plan for a week just for my dress on the night.

I was free from jail after this event was over. I could wave at my dress sweetly as a bid goodbye after I took this off.

I saw a tissue in front of me as I quickly thanked Soleil before I wiped the mess around my lips. I believed I look horrible whenever I came to food. I finally felt my lips was cleaned and decent as I turned to her.

She was still in the half as she chewing slowly. I realized she could do everything leisurely and relax, but she was fast in taking pictures. She was smiling at me as she held a tissue gently tap the corner of my lips before she continue to chew her food.

She finally swallowed down the food as she asked, "Do you want to get one more? I don't think I will enough for one."

I shook my head at her as she smiled, "Okay, I'll get one and we shared."

After another 15 minutes, she finished the rest of her sandwich and she returned to us again after she made another order of a sandwich for another 10 minutes.

The sausage sandwich was already split in half and she passed one for me. Again I speedily finished my food as she offered another half which she haven't touched yet as I shook my head at her, "I already enough, I'll get fat if I keep eating like this."

"That's won't be hurt to take another one or two bites." Soleil chuckled and she held the sandwich near my lips.

"You're evil for diet." I rolled my eyes at her as I took a bite on the sandwich.

"Do you still wanna take another bite?" she playfully waved the sausage sandwich at me which was tempting as I took another bite again and I quickly said, "Okay, I'm done. The rest you enjoy."

She smiled as she continued to eat the sandwich and she was enjoyable to eat it. Used a tissue to wipe my lips and I asked her curiously, "Do you always eat like this late at night?"

"Occasionally. Especially Lotte would ask me to join her eating instant noodles after we finished watching a series or movies at the midnight." she chuckled, "I'm blessed that she is at least good at cooking instant noodles. I can't hope she could cook other food for me."

"Is Lotte a horrible chef?" I asked curiously.

"Let's just say her cooking skill is scary like mom." she said with shook her head, "They're not a bad chef, they just not gifted in cooking," she turned to me and said, "That's only you know about this. I never want to disappoint them because they always put so much effort trying to cook something for mama and me."

"They're lovely." I smiled at her and added, "I'm a horrible chef."

She stared at me and said, "I can teach you if you want."

"Really?" I asked with hope.

"Of course, but just a simple meal. I'm not an expert like mama."

"Her big breakfast is great!" I said truly and made a thumb up at her.

"She'll glad to hear that," she smiled.

We decided to go home after she finished the sandwich. We shared the songs and music we like while we were listening the music was playing in her car. We found out we like the same songs and singers too.

We were walking hand in hand in the hallway. It was a hint to bid goodnight to each other, but I wasn't sure when we would catch up again. We would be busy and so on.

We eventually stopped at our doorsteps but our hand remained linked. Neither of us wanted to let go of our hands. I smiled at her and said, "Thanks for taking me for a supper and my stomach will be happy to fall asleep."

She returned a sweet smile and said, "I'm glad and appreciate you decided to have supper with me." she hold her gaze at mine a few beats and said, "Goodnight, Kimora."

I was still smiling at her and I thought it wasn't enough for me to bid goodbye like that. I gently tugged her hand to pull her closer to me as I wrapped my arms around her. She slowly did the same as me as I tightened my arms around her and mumbled, "Goodnight, Soleil."

We pulled away as our eyes remained locked and I knew if I keep staring at her like that I could stay in here the whole night. I quickly dismissed us and said, "Bye, Soleil."

I freed my arms around her as she did the same a little faster than me as she backward and said with a shy smile, "Bye, Kimora."

She quickly turned to press the passcode as I did the same. The surroundings were quiet with only our passcode voice and the sound of unlocking the door. After I opened the door and I stepped into my home as I heard Soleil call behind me, "K-Kimora."

I couldn't help but giggle at her cute stammer as I turned back and joked, "Are you gonna give me a goodnight kiss?"

I saw her adorable face immediately tinted as she quickly explained, "N-no. I-uh. I..." she licked her lips nervously as she silently took a deep breath and said, "I remembered you have told me you want to get a sundae for a break." She stared at me as her face was in darker red and said, "There have a newly open sundae cafe. I'm thinking to take you there for tomorrow." she quickly added, "If you want to."

I hummed dramatically as I stared at her lovely blue eyes. I bit my lips to stifle my laughter when her face was getting worried. Before she opened her mouth I grinned at her, "Of course, I want to. I love sundae."

A cute grin spread across her face as she seemed relieved, "Okay, what time do you prefer we go there for tomorrow?"

"I prefer in the afternoon. What about 3 pm?"

"That sounds good to me." she nodded her head as she quickly said, "I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow," I waved at her and we finally entered our home separately.

I felt my mood was lightened up and I was thinking I would slack on the couch to watch comedy or romance with a cup of hot chocolate before I could sleep well.

I couldn't put a finger into the actor or actress in the film, grinning like an idiot leaning against the door of their house after they bid a goodnight with their dates.

And now I get it. The feeling was there. It was giddy and looking forward the sweet holidays were coming to us. Also, I realize I was doing the same as them because my face was getting sore and I was dumbly leaning against my front door.

In the meanwhile, the adorable Sunshine's face was swimming in my head.

A/N: Suppose this would be in Soleil's POV and combined in one chapter, but I think it was better to split into two. Surprisingly, I switched to Kimora's POV.

Happy Reading.
