Okay... Please Read
Hey guys,
I know I said I wouldn't post anymore messages on here, but this is important and I need everyone to read this.
I just wanted to let you know that I live in NC, and it's looking likely that hurricane Irma is going to come through.
I don't know what's going to happen, no one does, but I wanted to let you guys know in case I lose power or something.
Please send your prayers to the Harvey victims as well as the victims of Irma!
For me and my family and friends, we'll be okay because we live in a high point, but we may lose power and trees will probably come down (I live in the woods rip). So far in all the years I've lived here (15) our house has only been hit by a tree once, but that was only the raining of our porch. Miraculously, they've gone all around our house and our property. One ice storm a year or two ago, we lost over 50 trees, and even saw six fall at once like dominos outside our window. I'm praying our luck is still the same.
A few facts about the hurricane so far (from my mom, a weather nut):
-currently Irma is a class 5 hurricane, and is super dangerous.
-Irma is creaming the Caribbean, and we should all send our love and prayers!!
-The hurricane is being fueled by the warm waters of the Caribbean, so when it touched Florida, it'll soon become a class 4 (still bad, but not as bad in comparison).
-Irma is probably going to go one of two ways, up the east coast as a class 3 and degenerating (because the Atlantic is warm too, but not nearly as warm as the Caribbean), or straight up to and through South Carolina (SC), but by that time it'll just be a breeze (no, literally).
- There are two more hurricanes headed towards the USA: Jose and Katia.
-Jose is still in the Atlantic and it's really looking like it's gonna sling shot back deeper into the Atlantic.
-Katia is in the Gulf of Mexico, and we don't know what will happen because it just formed.
-Florida is evacuating currently
-Other states that could be hit are starting to be put on high/emergency/or something like that alert, not always because of what you think though. See, for NC, we'll be on emergency alert tomorrow officially, and that's so farmers can transport all of their harvested crops so they don't lose money. What emergency alert (partially) does is lower the restrictions for how much weight a truck can carry, so it's saving people's hard work and money! We did this last year and nothing happened, but it's a good preparation!
-Irma will hit Florida this weekend.
-NC won't have an accurate forecast until next week.
