Allen grew up watching his sistet being woken up early in the morning for training, before eventually it was his turn. Always to a lesser extent since Annie wanted it that way. It was like his life was on a schedule, being prepared.  He barely had opportunities to hang out after school. Always having another lesson or plans.

He listened when his mom said their powers were gifts.. But when he figured out how it was a lie..how they were injected, put on a path he hated it. He stopped going to school and hated his mother. Leaving home after a melt down and nearly destoying his house.
