I fumble around with my iPhone as I get to my contacts and click on my friend Thomas's contact, and hit the call button

Pick up, pick up!

I heard a click as (they) pick up the phone.

"Thomas Thomas!!! Big news! Big News!" I say, practically shouting

"What is it, fuck wipe, it's midnight" Thomas responds tiredly

"Jackbox-They saw the fangame and want us to be at the building by tomorrow. They bought plane tickets for Chicago and a hotel" I said between heavy breaths

"HOLY FUCK"

"I KNOW"

I continue frantically shoving all of my clothes into a now comically swollen suitcase

"When do they want us at the airport?"

"As soon as possible, pack literally everything and I'll be at your house soon to pick you up, Ok?"

"OK! Gotta go, my fish is drowning."

That was our way of saying goodbye to each other on the phone.

"Yep! See you soo-!" click.

Not able to finish my sentence, Thomas hangs up.

I finish packing and checked to make sure I have everything.

clothes; check, hygiene stuff; check, laptop; check, sewing stuff; check, tentical dress; Oh! I forgot the shark body pillow!

I hastily grab the shark body pillow and put it in the suitcase before bolting out the door and into the car to go pick up Thomas.

I roll down my window and say

"Get in the van, Bitchlet!"

"Ok, Rotary Phone worshipper." (they) say as they open the trunk door and throw (their) suitcase next to mine

"TO THE AIRPORT!!!"

"YES!!! TO THE AIRPORT!!!" (they) open the backseat door and get in next to me
