Part 19
I was sound asleep, probably having one of the best sleeps I have had in an while until I hear a deafening scream. A scream that only the supernatural would be able to hear. I blink a few times before leaning over to grab my phone. As soon as I turn the screen on I instantly regret it. My room was pitch dark and all of a sudden I am blinded by a bright light shining directly in my eyes.
It's takes awhile for my eyes to readjust but as soon as they do I look at the time. It was 5:30am, 'oh come on, where can a man get some sleep around here.' I say to myself.
I groan rolling back over, as I barley got any sleep last night. I was already forgetting about the scream and just thinking about sleep.
My eye lids started to get heavy, and before I knew it, I was slowly dozing back off to sleep. Until I heard the ear piecing scream again. This time I knew who the scream was coming from; Lydia.
I practically jumped into my closet and got dressed in my spidey suit. If anything happened to Lydia, I swear to god, whoever that person or thing was, was going to pay.
I lift my window and feel the cool breeze hit me, let's just say it wasn't the warmest night. I jump out, using my webs to guide me through the neighbourhood.
I arrived at Lydia's house. From what I could gather, the screams were coming from here. I climb up the side of the house until I reach Lydia's window.
The window was open so it was easy for me to get in, I crawl into Lydia's room.
Immediately I am hit with a bag over the head. "Ow." I say rubbing my head, what ever was in that handbag was solid hard.
I watch as I see Lydia's face expression change dramatically as she realises who she just hit with a handbag. "Oh my god, Spider-Man. Wait what are you doing in my room?"
I stood there staring at her for a couple of seconds, she was fine, she was completely fine, so why was she screaming?
"Well..?" Lydia said crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow, I guess she didn't care it was Spider-Man.
"I uh... I heard you scream." I said rubbing the back of my neck. As soon as I realise what I was doing, I quickly moved my hand placing it at my side. Rubbing the back of my neck in an awkward situation was a stiles thing, not a Spider-Man thing. She gave me a funny look but soon replaced it with a confused expression. I couldn't let anything be a give away of my secret identity, it was better off for her to never know.
"I spilt red wine on the dress my mother gave me which was also my favourite. She's going to kill me." Lydia said trying to scrub out the stain.
"Oh... Umm I heard table salt is a good way to get the stain out."
"Thanks, I'll try that." Lydia smiled. I couldn't help but blush, luckily I have a mask covering my face so she couldn't see.
"I guess I should go then, since you don't need saving or anything." I mentally face palmed myself, why was I so awkward.
I started walking back towards the window until Lydia stopped me. Did she know it was me? What happened if she does and she tells everyone? I started to panic a little.
"There's something familiar about you. You remind me of someone."
"It's a small world." I grin and jump out the window. Smooth stiles, real smooth. That couldn't of gone worse, even if I wanted it to.
When I finally made it home, I flopped on my bed. I was exhausted.
I looked at my phone and it was already 6:45am. If I fall asleep right now I could probably get 2 hours sleep before the pack meeting, which I desperately need.
Tonight was one of the most long and intense nights of my life. Falling for a trap, nearly getting shot, getting hunted down, then made a fool of myself in front of Lydia.
It wasn't long before my eyelids shut and before I knew it I had fallen asleep.
(3 hour time skip)
I roll over in my bed and slowly open my eyes. The light from my window shines straight into my eyes. I groan as I roll back over.
Then suddenly I fully open my eyes and sit up. "Oh no, not again."
I jump out of my bed but I as I did, I didn't realise my foot was tangled with the sheets until I hit the ground. "Seriously." I say getting frustrated. I untangle my foot and run to the bathroom.
Why am I always late for everything?
I watch the clock tick away as I brush my hair and my teeth. It's 10:00am and I'm meant to be at the pack meeting at 10:00am.
I ran down stairs and grab my keys for the jeep. Then I remember I'm meant to be picking her up today. If I run to the garage and get my jeep and then drive to Derek's, it would take 20 minutes top; I could do it.
I sigh as I open the front door, the pack aren't going to be too happy.
