Truth Be Told

Maya's POV:

Maggie made me go home. I never got to finish my conversation with Riley, even though it seemed very important. Maggie made Riley do something.. something bad and I need to know what it is. I can't text Riley, because I know Maggie reads our texts. And I can't call her, because I can't get a moment alone without her bugging me.

"Maggs, can we talk?" I asked Maggie one night as the moon was shining through the blinds. It was about three in the morning, and we still hadn't fallen asleep yet.

Maggie was making another instagram account when she turned to me with a smile. A smile that reminded me of our childhood together. I returned the smile.

"Sure, Peaches."

"Okay... first things first, don't call me Peaches." I said with a groggy simper. "That's Riles nickname for me, and it only sounds right when she says it."

Maggie smirked. "Okay, I get it. You're not my peaches, anyways. You're my Maya."

"Good," I said, a heavy burden rising off my shoulders. But another one pounded down. "Riles.. she said you did something... or made her do something bad. Is that... true?"

"You really trust that Riley girl, don't you?" Maggie sighed, lowering her head to avoid eye contact with me.

"Of course, ever since halfway through Kindergarten." I said, remembering my first half of Kindergarten and the rest of my beginning years was spent with Maggie.

"Wow..." Maggie said, almost sounding jealous. "Fine... go to her."

"What?"

"Go... let her tell you what I did." Maggie said plainly, staring at me blankly.

And I didn't hesitate either. I rushed out of the window to Riley's house, where I slammed open the window. She was sitting in the same position as she was three days ago, tears rushing out of her eyes.

"Riles," I sighed, wrapping my arms around her. "What did she make you do?"

"I'm pregnant." Was all Riley said. And then, my mind suddenly buzzed.

I know what Maggie did.

I know, and I want to kill her.
