Chapter 4

You stare at the broken pieces and tear up a little. "I can't believe I... No. That asshole should of never started this." You crawl under the covers and sleep.

There was no weird dream or dark void to greet you when you shut your eyes. Just, grass and trees. Jay was there. You two had a picnic. When you woke up, you didn't want it to end. He was your best friend and you didn't want to leave him.

You walk to your kitchen and look around. Nothing was new. No surprised toys. No cute little notes. Nothing. Just a kitchen.

As coffee was being made, you searched online for a job. "I can't believe he made me get fired... I could use the rents money... But that's only 20 bucks a month... Won't cover for food, drinks, and bills... Ugh..." You grab the coffee from the kitchen and sit at your desk. A new tab was open.

"Thats weird..." You open it. It was a ASPCA page. There was a HELP WANTED paragraph at the bottom. You always did like animals. You got dressed, grabbed a purse to look normal, and drove off.

About a half an hour later, you got the job. You started work tomorrow. As you got home and threw the purse on the table, you hear something upstairs. "Griffin? Is that you?" Your roommate poked his head out of his room and looked at you. "What? No (Y/N)! I'm right here. Its been going on for about 15 minutes. I just thought it was Sapphire."

You cautiously walk up the stairs and see your bedroom door cracked open. Sapphire can't open doors... He's just a cat... As you push open your door, you see a note on your bed and that stupid doll with cracks in its head. You sit on the side of the bed and read the note.

(Y/N),
I am so very sorry if I annoyed you. I thought I'd do one last thing for you. That was fix the doll. To ahead and throw it out. But I thought it had to be fixed before I leave. Now, (Y/N). All I've done was annoy and pester you. So, goodbye.
Jason

You look at the doll. It had the same bored expression that it had before. No more crying or random facial expressions. No more paranormal.

Sapphire walked into the room, his navy-blue-like fur shined as the sun hit it. He meowed and sat next to you, finding a comfy spot to sleep in; your lap. You pet him as you reread the note. "No more Jason..." You whisper.

You move Sapphire off of your lap and got under the covers. You pulled him closer and started to pet him again. Jason would leave you alone if it meant you were happy... Something about that made you sad. Maybe its because he just wanted to cheer you up. Or its because all he did was give you gifts and all you did was push him away. You listed to Sapphire purr as you slowly drift too sleep. Looks like I'm skipping dinner...
