A/N

    This chapter is happening at the same time as the last chapter.

*Toby's pov*

     I opened my eyes. I was back in the field where Kat and I kissed. I looked around and saw her, standing there, on the other side of the field. She was wearing her red skinny jeans and a plain black t-shirt. She smiled at me.

     "K-kat!" I ran towards her. She just smiled. As I got closer somthing black came out of the forest. "KAT!" I ran faster. She stood there and smiled as the black figure came closer and closer. "KAT RUN!" I yelled at her. She just stood there and smiled at me. I got close enough to see that the black figure was a ninja. It came up behind her and stuck one of its katanas right through Kat. She screamed and fell to the ground as the ninja stabbed her over and over. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" I screamed as I jumped on the ninja and pinned it to the ground. The ninja struggled for a second before disappearing in a cloud of black smoke. I looked around and it was gone. I quickly stood up and went to Kat's side she smiled up weakly at me before mouthing "I love you". She slowly stared to fade.

    "Kat." I whispered as I held her to me. I closed my eyes as tears slipped down my cheeks into her fading hair. When I opened them again she was gone. The world around me faded to black.

    BEEP!

    BEEP!

    BEEP!

    BEEP!

    I turned off the alarm and sat up, rubbing my eyes. I looked at the time. 9:45 AM. I slowly got out of bed and looked at myself in the mirror. I closed my eyes and sighed as I reached under my pillow for the knife I hid there earlier. I held it in front of me and pointed the tip at my chest. I pulled the blade away from me and held it there. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't stab myself again. I threw the blade down on the bed. For some reason, I just can't do it anymore. I get dressed and go down stairs. I go into the kitchen and get out ingredients for pancakes. I remember the recipe, how could I forget? After I mix everything together I get out a pan and start baking them.

   "Toby! Stop burning pancakes!" Jeff walked in and pulled the pan away from me.

    "Hey! Those ones weren't as burnt as the last batch!" I tried to grab the pan back as he walked over to the trash can.

    "Were going to run out of eggs. Stop." Jeff dumped my pancakes into the trash. I sat down on a stool.

    "I-I j-just t-thought th-that i-i-if I l-learned th-then i-i w-wouldn't m-miss h-her a-anymore." I stuttered. Jeff sighed and sat down next to me.

    "We all miss Kat, you're not alone." Jeff smiled weakly "Rember when BEN and I locked you two in a closet?" I chuckled half-heartedly as I remembered when Kat and I first kissed.

    "Ya and when we snuck into Slenderman's room and covered his face in makeup and glued a mustache too his face?" I replied as I remembered how Slenderman was worried that Zalgo was declaring was on us. Jeff smiled.

    "He was freaking out, thinking that Zalgo was trying to attack us." We smiled sadly at eachother. Jeff sighed and stood up.

    "Do you want to learn how to make pancakes? I'll teach you." I nodded. He can bake? Weird.

    [PROXYS! I AM CALLING A MEETING!] Slenderman yelled in our heads.

    "Let's see what he wants." Jeff said as we left the kitchen. Slenderman had three people, two girls and a boy. One girl had long brown hair and stiches all over her skin including the edges of her lips. She had green eyes, literally green. The pupils were so dilated that it looked like they wern't there at all. She looked around Kat's age. The other girl had light brown skin and dark eyes. She was holding a scared old cat. The cat is a medium black tom with one eye. His right ear is missing, he has a scared muzzle and a deep gash in his neck. His back left leg is twisted a weird way and he wears a red collar with a yin-yang charm. The boy had short, brown hair and blue eyes. He also had stitches all over his body, including the edges of his lips, like the girl. A rosary was tied to his wrist. He looked about the same age as the girl next to him. Jeff froze next to me and just stared at the boy, the boy did the same.

    "JEFF!!" The boy ran forward and hugged a very surprised looking Jeff. Tears formed in Jeff's eyes as he hugged the boy back.

    "Liu? Is it really you? I thought you were dead. I thought that I killed you." Jeff choked on his words a bit as they broke apart.

    "I'm alive, and at first I wanted revenge but after time I just wanted to see you again." Liu smiled. Some of the other pastas ran down the stairs.

    "You'd better get back to Slendy." Jeff smiled. Liu nodded and walked back over to him.

    [Here are three new proxys. Clockwork,-] The girl with green eyes looked up at the sound of her name, showing a small smile and revealing a clock jammed into her right eye socket.

    I blinked slowly at her and turned my head to the next girl. [This is Zoe.] Slender told us. Zoe didnt do anything but looked away from us. She wore a plain,  skinny black t-shirt with white shorts. On her arms were stripped black and white arm warmers. My eyes trailed down to her black converse and trailed back up to her neck to meet a silver chain necklace with a crescent moon charm hanging in the middle of her chest. She had shoulder lenght dark brown hair that was down.

    I could only ser her left eye because her bangs were blocking her right her. In the  right pocket was a black pocket knife and on the side of her left in a sheath was another knife.

    Zoe looked up for a bit for me to meet her dark brown eyes before she looked back down at the floor.

   Could she talk? I wondered. The new Proxys seem to be moving while this girl jusy stood there looking down.

     [And this is Sully and Liu.] My attention snapped back to the whole group.

    Sully?

    "Sully? Liu what's he talking about?" Jeff asked. While BEN slowly nodded. Only I noticed this.

    "Well, you see....-"Liu looked down for a second before snapping his head up. He looked angry and glared at Jeff as a smile slowly spread across his face. "Oh brother dear, I am Sully." Liu's voice had a deeper sound to it. "You see after you nearly killed poor Liu here, he was shattered beyond repair. His only friend nearly kills him, how do you think that feals? Not good. So he comes up with a friend that will protect him in your place." Jeff is expressionless as he stares back at Sully/Liu.

    [Toby, why don't you show these proxys to their new rooms? Zoe can have Kat's old room.] I nodded. We cleaned out her room and threw all the stuff away. BEN took all of her electronic devices and I found a small picture of her that I keep with the picture of my family. I led the new proxys up stairs and, one by one, I left them in their new rooms. Eventually it was just Zoe and me.

    "This is where you'll be staying." I opened the door and walked in. Zoe followed behind me. She sets down her cat and walks over to the window. Her cat jumps on to Zoe's bed as she closes the blinds. I close the door as I leave and go back to my room. Clockwork was in the hallway.

    "Hey! Toby!" She smiled.

    "Hey." I replied.

    "Who's Kat?" She asked. A curious look on her face. My breath caught in my throat.

    "K-Kat? W-where did you h-hear that name?" I stuttered ticking every few seconds.

    "Slenderman said 'Zoe can have Kat's old room'. Who's Kat?" She put her hands on get hips. I looked down.

    "She was a proxy." I nearly whispered.

    "Where is she? Did she join the other side?" Clockwork asked.

    She won't shut up well she?

    "It's not important now." I quickly replied as I quickly walked into my room and locked the door behind me. I say down on my bed and looked at the picture frame that I tucked Kat's photo into. I felt tears flow down my cheeks as I remembered Slenderman gently putting her lifeless body into the grave I dug.  I rember the day clearly. It was sunny and only a few white clouds dotted the sky as we all mourned for the death of Kat. It seemed as if the world were mocking us. I was startled out of my memories by a knock on the door. I dried my eyes.

    "Who's there?" I asked.

    "Clockwork, can I come in?" I was about to tell her to go away. "I heard about what happened with Kat and I'm sorry I pried." I slowly got up and walked over to the door. I unlocked it and opened the door a crack, just enough for me to see out and her to see in. "So can I come in?" She asked with a hopeful smile. I thought for a second before opening the door and letting her in. I sat back down on my bed.

    "What do you want to talk about?" I asked as she leaned against the door, closing it. The thing she did next surprised me as much as my reaction. She walked over, sat down, and hugged me. I felt my eyes overflow as I hugged her back.

    "I miss her so much." I whispered. We stayed like that until I got my shit together and stopped crying. "T-thanks." I whispered.

    "No problem, some times it's good to cry a little." She replied.

    "You won't tell anyone else about this will you?" I asked.

    "I won't tell anyone, don't worry." She stood up and walked to the door. "Oh and by the way, my name's Natalie." Then she left and closed the door behind her.
