*Tami's POV*

"What happened?" Laurel's said said and rushed to her, I didn't say anything and just watched. I looked at the guys to see JJ and Simon being held back

"Car accident" James said, Laurel's dad looked at me and smirked. I still didn't say nothing

"Oh my, but why was she out of school?" Laurel's dad asked

"She was taking Tami home since Tami wasn't feeling well" James said

"I always knew that Laurel shouldn't be hanging around with you, you always got her in trouble" Laurel's dad said directly at me, I was not going to stay silent now. I'm sorry Laurel but I have to

"Me? Getting her in trouble? You're the one to talk" I spat

"Tami, be nice" James said

"I'm sorry but I'm done just sitting around and watching him get what he wants" I said, James looked at me confused

"If I was you, I would keep my mouth shut" Laurel's dad spat

"Tami.." James said

"She said nothing, just useless words coming out of her useless mouth" Laurel's dad said

"Useless? Mr Cook, what is wrong?" James asked

"I'll tell you what's wrong, he has been abusing Laurel" I said

"What?" James asked 

"You better shut your mouth you bitch" Laurel's dad threaten 

"Or what? You going to hit me just like you do to her? How about I tell James how this accident is all your fault? The fact that SHE'S IN HOSPITAL BECAUSE OF YOU" I said/shouted 

"Say what now?" James said, I looked at my brother to see anger take over 

"She's lying" Laurel's dad said 

"Why would she lie if we were there?" JJ said 

"My baby sister wouldn't lie especially about something like this" James said angrily 

"We watched as she ran onto the road because of you" Simon said 

"You shouted at her in public because she brought a dress? I was so happy to see her getting the dress because it meant that she was getting better, she was finally feeling confident but no. You had to go and just ruin everything like always" I said and let a tear roll down my face 

"That would explain why she was around our house a lot, I didn't mind having her over since she's like my little sister other than Tami" James said 

"Just admit it, you are nothing but selfish and only care about yourself. Admit that this was all your fault" I said 

"ALRIGHT I DID IT" Laurel's dad shouted

"Mr Cook you are under arrest" We all turned our heads to see two police officers and the doctor 

"I heard everything and it's my job to make sure my patients have somewhere safe to go after getting out of hospital" The doctor said, I watched as the police handcuffed Laurel's dad 

"Thank you doctor" I said before looking at him, the doctor smiled before leaving with the police and Laurel's dad

"Why didn't you or Laurel tell me? I could of gotten custody over Laurel a long time ago" James asked, I sat back down and held Laurel's hand

"We were scared and stupid but her dad threaten us since I kinda seen him hit her before, you are going to get custody over her right?" I asked with hope in my eyes 

"Of course I am, I'm not letting them take away one of my sisters" James said, I let Laurel's hand go before running to James and hugging him 

"Thank you, thank you, thank you" I cried, James hugged me back before kissing my head 

"Anything for my sister" James said and we stood there hugging, Laurel was finally free but now how do I tell him about school?...
