*Tami's POV*

Laurel came running out of the house and into the back seat of the car

"Alright Laurel?" James asked

"I'm ok, how are you guys?" Laurel said

"Yea we are good" James said, I looked back at Laurel to see fear in her eyes. I know it was her dad, he did something. I looked back at James and sighed quietly, I wish me and Laurel would just tell James so he can handle it. He's older enough to get custody over Laurel and get her out of that house. Then there is my problem and that's getting bullied at school, he could move us but why don't we say anything? Oh probably because we are scared, I'm scared that my own brother will judge me

"We are here" I snapped out of my thoughts to see that we were in front of the school

"Thanks bro" I said

"Thanks James" Laurel said, we were about to get out when James stopped us

"Be careful when you're going home girls and Laurel you can go over to our house since Tami will be on her own" James said

"Don't worry about us, we'll be fine" I said

"I'll see how I'm feeling after school, I might go over" Laurel said

"Bye girls" James said as we got out, I walked around and stood next to Laurel as my brother drove off

"Ready for a day of hell?" Laurel asked

"It's not like I have a choice" I said, we both walked in. I kept my head down and I could hear people whispering

"Freak"

"Nerd"

"How is someone friends with that?"

"What is she wearing?"

"Tami, ignore them" Laurel said, we quickly went to our lockers and put our stuff in before grabbing first and second period lesson books. I really hope this day goes past quick...
