Chapter Sixteen
"You're cute when you're sleepy," Henry claimed and Cole just groaned before hitting him with a pillow again.
"Get up, Henry. We have to get ready for school". Collier had woken up in Henry's arms about ten minutes ago, and had spent that time fighting to get the other boy out of bed.
"Fuck school," Henry mumbled absently as he slowly blinked up at Cole, who had straddled his waist to get more force when he hit Henry with the pillow.
"It's Friday," was Cole's desperate response and Henry just rolled his eyes, his arms sliding around Collier's back and pulling him down on his chest before rolling them over so Cole was pinned to the mattress beneath him. Henry's face nuzzled into his neck.
"Ten more minutes, Collie".
"It's already been ten minutes".
"Ten more minutes".
"Why are you so difficult," Collier groaned, parting his knees and throwing his legs around Henry's waist, pulling his warmth closer. "Why do you have a boner?"
Henry laughed, the sound very light and happy. "Because it's morning, and I spent the whole night with your ass pressed against my dick and you wiggle in your sleep".
"Hmm," was Collier's bored response, though he couldn't help but smile at the answer. The idea that he, Collier Jacobson, had that effect over this body had his head spinning.
"Wanna help me with this? You know, repay the favor?" Henry obviously joked, bucking his hips playfully into Cole's, causing him to giggle happily.
"No," he teased and Henry just made a content noise. "Hey, do blow jobs mean nothing too?"
The question has been bothering Cole in his sleep, waking him up on multiple occasions, and this just happened to seem like the right time to ask it. A second later, Collier had wished he had waited a little longer, at least ten minutes so they could have finished their relaxing cuddle session.
Henry rolled off of him with a soft grunt of effort from separating himself from Cole's legs. "No more than kissing," the blue eyed boy grumbled, his eyes on the ceiling and face completely blank.
Cole rolled onto his side to study Henry closely. "What are you thinking about when you're like that?" He wondered aloud and Henry's eyebrows furrowed in what seemed to be confusion.
"When I'm like what?"
"When you shut down?" Henry just turned his head to look at him for a second, his expression softening.
"Come on, Collie," he said, looking away and rolling out of bed before extending his hand to the smaller boy. "Let's go brush our teeth".
"Alright," Cole agreed, accepting the hand and offering little resistance as it pulled him out of bed, "as long as you agree to not sexually molest me in your bathroom again".
"Oh, you loved it," Henry said in a full voice and Cole snorted, but didn't deny it.
Henry would have known he was lying.
After they brushed their teeth and ate breakfast (which Henry had gone upstairs to make and then brought into the basement to prevent Cole from happening across his parents), there was nothing left to do except dress. Collier was content wearing the sweatpants and shirt he had slept in to school, but Henry, for some reason, found fault in that.
"Why do you always re-wear your clothes," the taller boy grumbled as he stood shirtless in front of his dresser. Cole had remained quiet, lying back on the bed and admiring the view. It didn't take long for Henry to pick this up, though Cole didn't understand how since the brunette didn't even turn around to look at him. "Stop staring at me and pick out clothes to wear".
Henry waved his hand towards the dresser in front of him and Collier laughed for a moment before realizing he was serious. "Oh".
"What's funny about that?" Henry turned to face him, his eyebrows raising and Collier's eyes dropped to Henry's tanned chest, staring until the other boy rolled his eyes and pulled on a black t-shirt.
"It's funny that you think I'll fit into your cloths," Cole said quietly and Henry just stepped towards him, holding both of his hands out. With a sigh, Cole slid his smaller hands into his and was pulled to his feet. "Your pants will fall off of me".
"Pick a shirt at least," Henry demanded, opening the drawer he himself had been sifting through a moment before.
Henry walked away then, going into the bathroom and shutting the door behind himself. Cole sighed but followed instructions, shifting through the drawer until his eyes landed on a somehow familiar green shirt that he pulled out after a moment's hesitation.
It seemed as good a shirt as any to chose, so he pulled it over his head, sliding his arms in the right places. Soft, he thought, absently bumping the drawer shut before going to stand before the tall mirror and look at himself. Cole had been right. The shirt didn't really fit him. It slid slightly off of his shoulder, and fell to his mid thigh, but other than that, it didn't look too bad, and it was extremely comfortable.
The sound of the bathroom door opening had him turning his head a second before Henry stepped into view. "Is this okay?"
The taller boy froze outside the door to the bathroom, his hands pressed to the outside of his thighs as if he had been in the act of drying them on his jeans. His eyes were a bit wide, but other than that, his face was completely neutral. "Uh-"
"I don't have to wear this one," Cole said quickly, turning back to look at it in the mirror as Henry slowly approached him, his image joining him in the glass a second later. "I don't really know why I choose it, I just liked the color I guess. Here, why don't I take this off and you pick one out for me-"
Cole watched the reflection in the mirror. As his hands pulled up the bottom of the shirt on his way to remove it, Henry's own fingers clasped down on his hips, Turing him a bit before his left hand raised and grasped Cole's chin, turning his face so he was looking over his shoulder, and then kissed his lips.
Collier's surprise made him hesitant, but after a moment he shifted his lips against Henry's, ignoring the uncomfortable position in which his neck was bent in order to achieve this kiss.
"Hmm," Cole hummed pleasantly, grinning after Henry had pulled back and swept his tongue over Cole's lower lip. "You're incredibly sexy".
"Shut up Cole and wear the fucking shirt," Henry groaned, looking away from the mirror, but sliding his arms around the smaller boy's waist and dropping his head down into Cole's shoulder.
Collier just looked at their reflection, chewing his lip as he watched Henry turn his face into his neck before pressing his lips there.
We look like a couple, was his first thought, then followed by, we look like a very cute and happy couple.
Cole pushed the thought from his head and leaned back, worrying about nothing more than the feel of Henry's lips on his skin and his arms around his waist.

The second they were in the high school, Henry left his side without a word, going down the senior hallway ahead of him in the direction of Emerson locker.
Cole wasn't alone for long. A second later, Ian was at his side, looking in the same direction after Henry. "What was that about?" The small boy asked, his nose wrinkling cutely as he turned to look at Cole then.
"No clue," Cole lied easily, but judging by the look on Ian's face he didn't believe him, do Cole continued. "I ran into him in the parking lot and tried to make conversation about Emerson and Sarah. He didn't seem to appreciate it".
Ian laughed, all suspicion gone from his face and Cole smiled at him. Of course anyone would believe that Henry was being his typical, quiet and annoyed self.
"Seems about right," Ian said as they began down the hall at a much slower pace than Henry. "So, I was thinking about it, and you haven't been to my house since before you left over the summer, and I know a lot has happened since then so I was thinking you could come over tonight and talk about everything".
"Everything?" Cole asked.
"You know," Ian sounded unsure, "Emerson and Sarah, your family, everything".
Collier felt stupid. For the past eighteen hours, he had been so caught up in Henry that he had temporarily forgotten about his problems.
It was a kind suggestion, but Cole felt like Ian wasn't just offering because he actually wanted to talk. "Is Ryan busy tonight?"
Ian flushed pink. "He's driving to Georgia with Carter to surprise Jordan".
"Ah". Still, Cole thought about it. "I work tomorrow".
"So?" Ian asked, knocking his elbow against Cole's, "I live closer to the studio that you do. Come on, Collier. It's a Friday night, and I know you must want to get out of the house".
He did, Cole thought, but he already had. At this point, Collier felt as if he could show up to Henry's at any time and the boy would just accept him.
But Ian clearly didn't want to be lonely that night, and it was true, Cole hadn't been to his house since before Washington, and he did miss his friend.
"Fine, I'll come over after school, if it's not a problem".
Ian laughed. "I invited you, Cole. You're not intruding". With one last smile, Ian slapped him on the arm before walking off down the sophomore hallway. "I'll see you in language arts," was called over his shoulder, accompanied by a wink that made Cole sure his friend was thinking about Mr. Drake.

"Mr. Drake asked me where my materials were and I almost-" Cole began as he took his backpack from Sarah at lunch.
"Creamed your pants?" Emerson asked as Cole dropped down into his seat, cutting off his words. All three of them, Sarah, Henry, and Cole turned to look at him, all with raised eyebrows. "What? Literally everyone is talking about how hot he is. Even the teachers are whispering about it". Collier blinked. "Don't tell me you haven't noticed".
"Oh he's noticed," Sarah teased and Henry grumbled:
"I'm hotter," under his breath, which had Cole's eyes widening, and then a smile forming on his face. To let Henry know that he had heard him, and that he agreed, Collier responded with a quiet but audible:
"Agreed". He felt the boy turn to look at him in surprise , but Collier payed it no mind. "I was actually about to say, died of embarrassment, not cum in my pants, but I know that's probably what you think every time-"
"What do you think of his eyes?" Sarah asked and without a moment's hesitation Cole described the color in two words.
"The ocean". Sarah grinned and him and Cole just shook his head. "Stop fucking interrupting me, you two are a perfect couple of interrupters".
"Oh, shut up". Sarah didn't sound too offended, and she smiled at him before pushing the tray over to him to eat from. Henry eyed it for a moment, probably remembering Cole spilling the day before.
"Notice she leaves it in the center of the table," Collier pointed out to him and Henry's dark eyes flicked up to meet his.
"Did Cole spill yesterday?" Sarah asked, pulling them from their short trance. "It takes time to learn how to deal with it, but apparently you already see the cycle".
"What are you talking about?" Henry grumbled, stabbing a cucumber on his tray with his fork but not eating it.
"Cole says you won't let him in your car if he had any beverages on him". Henry acknowledged this with a shrug.
"That shirt-" Emerson cut in suddenly and Cole's golden eyes widened before he looked down at himself, or more specifically, the green shirt he had borrowed from Henry. "It's very familiar..." Collier shifted nervously in his seat and glance at Henry, who seemed to be at perfect ease in the situation. Emerson thought a little longer before his eyes lit up with recognition. "Henry, isn't Cole wearing your favorite shirt?"
"This is your favorite shirt?!" Collier exclaimed, pulling at the fabric as he turned to Henry, who just watched him with a blank expression. "Why the fuck did you let me wear this? I could have spilt on it or something. I had painting class first hour!"
Henry shrugged as if unconcerned. "Why is he wearing your shirt, Henry?" Emerson asked teasingly.
"So that's where you went last night," Sarah cut in before either of them could answer, though Cole hadn't been planning to, and he suspected Henry hadn't either.
It was quiet for a few minutes after that, in which Collier sat there, tense, and Henry stabbed the food on his tray but didn't actually eat any of it.
Eventually, Sarah and Emerson stopped staring at them, stopped trying to intimidate them, and began flirting amongst themselves.
That's when Cole felt Henry turn to him. "Are you coming over tonight?" He asked quietly and Cole's golden eyes flicked up to see Emerson and Sarah still lost in each other before turning to look at Henry and grinning.
"I'd love to," but then he remembered his conversation with Ian that morning. "But I can't. I promised Ian I'd come by tonight". Henry looked a bit conflicted for some reason, and before Cole could ask why, he figured it out for himself. "Oh! Your shirt! I can probably drop it off at some point this weekend if you don't want to wait until Monday. I guess I could give it to you right after school, but then I'd just be shirtless, and I'd really like to wash it for you first-"
"No," Henry interrupted and Collier paused, his mouth still open for a second longer before snapping shut.
"I guess I don't have to wash it-"
"Shut up, Collie," Henry said, loud enough that both Emerson and Sarah fell quiet and looked back at them.
"Collie," Sarah repeated softly, but Cole wasn't paying attention as Henry stood from his chair, tilting his head back so he could look up at him.
Henry glared at Sarah and Emerson for a moment before leaning forward so his lips were directly by Cole's ear.
"Keep it," Henry whispered, hot breath hitting the side of Cole's neck. "It looks better on you anyway".
Collier felt his eyes widen. "What?" But when he turned to look at the other boy, he was greeted with Henry's back as he walked away. "Will I ever understand him?"
This was spoken to Emerson, even though he was still watching the brunette walk away.
"I don't know," Emerson said and Cole turned to him. "I don't even know if I understand him at this point, honestly".
Collier didn't respond, only looked down at himself, at Henry's- no- his shirt (apparently) hanging off of his thinner frame.
