Urgency To Be Ignored
My eyes eagerly ran about the room looking for Fred, like a dog dashing after it's owner. When they landed on him, the glow had already begun to wear off. He seemed to be in pain with his eyes squeezed shut and his head to his chest, but in that moment I didn't care.
I ran to him forcing myself not to scream his name to the world.
When I got to my other half, I nearly tackled him. My arms clutched him like a lifeline, I needed to know that he was really here, that he wasn't going to leave again.
"Fred!" I exclaimed joyfully.
Then we were both hugging and crying.
The seconds felt like hours and I was finally myself again.
But suddenly he pulled away and held my shoulders tightly, nervously.
"George, I need to tell you something! I met Dumble-"
The urgency his eyes made it plain to see something was wrong, but mum was rather persistent.
