As usual he woke up at 4 am in the morning to do his workout routine. He washed his face, got dressed in his sweatsuit and put on his shoes. It was 4:30 am when he walked out of his apartment and started jogging through his usual path within the woods. The woods he had grown with during his childhood. He kept jogging through his usual path when he noticed something strange. He stopped to figure out what had changed when he figured out that whatever was wrong. He soon realized he did not have his phone, he had forgotten it at home when he walked out of his apartment. He kept jogging through his usual path when something caught his eye, he stopped and tried to get a better view of it. She was laying on her side on a black puddle while struggling to breathe.

"Hey." He got on his knee while taking his sweater off and put it on her fragile nude body. "Are you OK?" He asked as he covered her and tried to look through the curtain of her curly hair covering her face. "Do you need me to help you?" He asked as he searched for is phone but then remembered he had forgotten it home and started to curse at himself. He reached to uncover her face, to see if he knew her. As he moved aside her curly hair out of her face she lurched forward. Startling him without giving him time for any type of reaction but flinch and fall on the ground.

It was 11:53 am when the body appeared in the woods by a couple of old women jogging through the worn out path. They found the young man laying face down on the ground half hidden by the vegetation near a pond. At first they thought it was just a bag full of trash that someone had left. But as they got near one of them threw up because of the rotten smell.The horrifying sight of the rotting corpse. With maggots and worms along with other insects eating it made one of the old women almost fainted. The police came after answering a call, they were the nearest one. They got to the pond first to see what was going on only to find the two women unsettled and horrified. They searched the area only to find the dead body and a dirty running shoe 19 yards away from the body which had no shoes. The body was unrecognizable. His face was missing. It was eaten by carnivorous insects. He had a missing arm, a torn off leg that was still attached to the body, and his clothes covered with mud and blood. It was confusing and shocking to everyone in the small town. This had never happened before. The victim was a young college student. They had watched him get introduced into the neighborhood as a newborn,watched him grow. But what was worst was that he had gone missing for four days and no one had last seen him at all.
