The whole corridor got silent as an angry Tapasya made her way through the students. No one even dared to know the reason behind. An angry Tapasya was not to be triggered with. Only two people in the world could calm her down- one being her father and the other  being Adi. Ruhaan immediately took out his phone and dialed Adi's number. Adi picked up after three rings.

Adi: What's up bro?

 Ruhaan: Dude, there's a problem.

Adi: Yeah, what's new?

Ruhaan: I am not kidding Adi. Tapasya is really pissed.

Adi: What happened now?

Ruhaan narrated the whole canteen incident and after hearing everything, Adi just said, 'Hmmm'

Ruhaan: She's really pissed for such a trivial thing.

Adi: Well, you clearly don't know her, Ru. These girls are all the same.

Ruhaan: Now tell me what to do.

Adi: Hm, do one thing. Bring her to the music hall.I'll be there in a minute.

Ruhaan: What? are you kidding me? Handling Tapasya, after knowing that her mood is off? What , are you trying to kill me or something?

Adi(laughingly): Dude, you make it sound like a devil's work. Come on, be a man and bring her to the goddamn hall.

Ruhaan: Are you sure I  can do that?

Adi: Yup, absolutely.

Ruhaan: Alright, I'll try.

Adi: That's good. Bye.

Adi disconnected the call before Ruhaan could say anything. Ruhaan nervously went to Tapasya, who was now standing in a corner.Her arms were crossed in front of her and she was breathing heavily.Ruhaan tapped her shoulder.

Tapasya: Ru, I don't wanna talk to anyone right now.

Ruhaan:B-but.. I..I want t-to

Tapasya spun around to face him.

Tapasya: Ru, you don't understand. I hate when people are disrespectful to me. You know that. That girl seemed so rude. And on top of that, she dared to answer me back.Me?!

Ruhaan: Taps, she's n-new and she p-probably doesn't know anything about you. 

Tapasya: So you are taking her side now?

Ruhaan: I am not taking anyone's side Tapasya. I'm just telling what it is. 

Tapasya: You'll never get it.

Ruhaan: Fine.If  you don't wanna talk about it,we'll not talk about it. But will you do something for me?

Tapasya: What?

Ruhaan: Would go with me to the music hall? Actually, I have some work.

Tapasya: Why can't you go yourself?

Ruhaan:A-A-Actually , umm...

Tapasya: ?

Ruhaan: Just come with me. Please.

Tapasya didn't argue any further and they both head towards the hall.

Ananya jogged her way to the university campus and found Ganguly  Sir waiting for her. She wetted her lips and nervously went up to him.

 Sir: Are yaar , kitni der laga di? Where were you, Ananya?

Ananya: Sorry sir. Voh kya hai na I had class.So...

Sir: Acha, anyways. I have a task for you.Do you have class now?

Anu: No. They are cancelled.

Sir: That's good. Listen, a new student has arrived in your batch,in sports quota. He's a relative of mine. His family just shifted here. Although, due to some issue he couldn't come with them. He's just arriving. Would you mind picking him up from the station?

Ananya couldn't find a possible reason to say no, so she readily agreed. 

Anu: But sir, I don't know what he looks like. How would I find him?

Sir: Oh yeah, wait, I think I have a picture of him on my mobile.Let me check.( Takes out his phone and scrolled through his gallery). Yup, there you go.

Ganguly sir handed the mobile to Anu for her to see. Anu took a close look at the picture.

Within seconds, Anu found herself admiring the picture . Ganguly sir's cough brought her back to reality.

Sir: I'll send you the picture on whatsapp.Now come on, go, his train would be arriving any minute.

Ananya nodded and jogged her way out of the campus . And all the while, the  smile never left her face.

Tapasya spun around to find not a single soul in the music hall. This was not possible. People always flocked around the music hall. Well, 'unnecessary people', as she tagged them. She was indeed surprised to be alone in the music hall.

Tapasya: Where is everyone ?

 Ruhaan: No idea.

Tapasya: But Ru, you said you had some work. What was it?

Ruhaan: A-A-A-Ab...um-um..

Tapsya: Stop stammering, Ru. Why the heck have you brought me here?

'' Because I told him to.", a voice echoed in the hall. Tapasya turned around to find Adi standing at the door. 

Taps( Short for tapasya): What's going on, Adi?

Adi slowly came up to her, his hands were hidden behind him.

Adi: Tappu, why are you always so hyper? Just chill.

Taps: I have a reason to be hyper.

Adi: I know. Ru told me everything.

Tapasya shot a glance at Ruhaan.He gulped in nervousness.

Adi: But, hey, why are you letting a non-important person spoil your mood?

Well, little did he know how important the person would become to him!

Tapasya somewhat understood his point. But she still wasn't satisfied.

Adi: Alright, you know what I have something that can lift up your mood.

Taps: What?

Adi: This.

Saying that , he revealed the thing he was hiding behind.

Tapasya's face lighted up in a smile. Adi breathed a sigh of relief.

Taps: OMG, this is the same icecream sundae that Dad used to bring for us when we were kids. How on earth did you get this?

Adi: Just a little trouble. But that smile of yours is worth anything.

Taps: Awww, that's so cute . Thanks, Adi. You are the best.

Tapasya hugged Adi tightly. Ruhaan smiled at reunion. 

Adi: Ab maregi kya? Itna pyaar ek baar mein hazam nahi hota!

Taps(laughingly): Hajmola kha lena.

Adi: Ew.

Taps pulled back from the hug and started devouring every bit of nostalgia with that sundae.

Adi: Mujhe bhi de.

Taps: Nahi, yeh sirf mere liye hai na. Ise sirf mai hi khaungi.

Adi:  Vah, yeh hui teri best friendship ?!

Taps showed him her chocolate filled tongue and started running.

Adi: Ruk ja tu. Mai abhi tujhe pakarta hu. Ruk...ruk...

He started chasing her all around the hall.

Ruhaan: Guys, band karo yeh bachpana. Class ka vaqt ho raha hai.

They both stopped in their tracks and looked at each other and then suddenly, burst out laughing.

Ruhaan: Why are you laughing?

Adi(to Taps): Tu sun rahi hai, Tappu. Yeh kya bol raha hai.

Taps(to Ruhaan): Ru , humne aaj tak koi class dhang se ki hai kya?

Adi: Vahi to. Aur tu hume bol raha hai class ke liye der ho rahi hai! Hume konsa fark padhta hai?

Ruhaan: Nahi padhta to padhna chahiye. Guys, post- graduation koi asan cheez nahi hai.

Adi: Yaar, yeh same baat tune hame 10th standard, 12th standard, aur graduation ke final year me bhi boli thi! Pass to gaye na hum?

Ruhaan: Ha, par is bar aisa nahi hoga. Tumhe pata bhi hai syllabus kitna vast hai?

Adi: Ab, dara mat yaar!

Taps: Nahi yaar, Ru is right. We should go to class.Par pehle mai yeh sundae khatam kar lu...

Ruhaan: Alright. Par class attend kar lena . Mai ja raha hu, mere class shuru hone mein 10 minute baki hai.

Taps: Bye, Ru. Sham ko milte hai.

Ruhaan: Hm.Bye.

Ruhaan retraced his steps back and went out. Adi and Taps looked at the retreating until it was out of sight.
