The floor beneath them began to liquify as their feet sank in.

Y/n: Damn!

y/n lifted his left hand in order to keep katsumi up. Katsumi sent an explosion down to the ground in front of them in order to keep the teams away.

Y/n: Katsumi!! Whatever happens to me, i want you to keep sending explosion!!

Y/n dissolved and covered Katsumi's Arms and a little bit of her right face.

Y/n's voice sounded on her right ear.

Y/n: NOW!!

Katsumi sent the explosions and y/n's nanomachines directed them away from the team and onto the floor. Her arms became rockets. The rest of the nanomachines glued the team together as they were all lifted.

Y/n: This a bit cartoonish aight?

Katsumi looked down and saw an incoming team.

Katsumi: Izu-!

A nanomachine arm suddenly rose in front of her face.

Dark shadow: Damn it!!

The arm shifted and surrounded katsumi's torso as armor. The group began to fall. Katsumi's hands fired controlled blasts downwards to diminish the fall.

Hagakure: Come on girls! They just landed, we can take advantage of them while they're recovering! Come on Jiro, full skate ahead!!

Sata: Wait!! Your headbands gone!!

Hagakure: Huh?! What no!!!

A blonde girl was riding away from the invisible girl's group spinning the stolen headband with her index finger.

Blonde: This too easy~!

Y/n: Damn!!

Y/n raised a wall of nanomachines. Two cables struck a strange frequency into him.

Y/n: GAHH!

Visible blue electricity sparked on all nanomachines.

Y/n expelled the cables, said cables retracted to Jiro.

Y/n: I'll take care of our blind spots!!

Katsumi nodded and began to fire controlled explosions to incoming teams with only on hand.

Mic: WOHOO! BARELY TWO MINUTES IN AND ITS ALREADY A BRAWL!!!

The groups began to spread, teams versus teams. Class versus class. Y/n scanned the area and noticed very few were directly aimed for them.

Y/n: Good news Katsumi, we don't have to worry for everyone chasing us! It's looks like they decided to fight against each other.

???: WAHAHAHAHA

Katsumi turned around and spotted Shoja with her multiple arms covering something on her back. The voice of Minora was heard.

Minora: THIS IS TOO EASY! THIS ISNT A FIGHT, ITS A MASSACRE!!

Purple balls began to be fired out of a hole in between shoja's arms.

Katsumi fired explosions and parried them. The balls fell to the floor as a team of students stepped on them, the leader fell.

Midnight: Team 8 has been disqualified!!

Y/n: Poor girls...

Katsumi: Concentrate!!

Y/n: Okay, Okay!!

Katsumi looked around and noticed that the grey haired girl from before was charging towards them.

Katsumi prepared her explosion. Suddenly, her headband was pulled off.

Katsumi's head turned rapidly looking for the head band.

Y/n: Nuh Uh!!

An arm came out and grabbed the headband mid air.

Katsumi looked at the headband and noticed it was being pulled by a tongue coming from Shoja's back.

Y/n: It's asui!

Asui: Told you to call me Tsu!!

Y/n: Sorry!

And other arm came out and pulled a string, the headband untied itself and the tongue let go.

Y/n quickly tied it around katsumi's head again.

Katsumi: Thank you!

Y/n: Your welcome, now concentrate! There comes the other team!! AND MORE MINOBALLS!!

Katsumi narrowly dodged a purple ball, Asui's tongue attacked once more.

Katsumi's hands were covered by nanomachines and flew off.

Y/n: This is harder than I thought!

Katsumi looked around and noticed another flying group heading towards them!

Izumi: KACHAN!!

Katsumi aimed her hand and sent an explosion.

Izumi raised her hands but the explosion was stopped by dark shadow.

Dark shadow dashed through the smoke and aimed for the headband. She sent her shadow claw but was grabbed by a gray arm.

Y/n's top part of his nanobody materialized and wrestled against dark shadow.

The crowd cheered as they watched the fight.

Y/n pushed off dark shadow's left claw and punched her.

Dark shadow sent a slash with her claw but y/n ducked easily.

Y/n materialized again and pushed dark shadow away.

Dark shadow retreated towards tokoyama. Dark shadow didn't stop, instead, she used tokoyama as a turning point and dashed towards y/n again.

Y/n's top half was tackled off. His lower half still maintained the group together. Katsumi's team began to fall.

Katsumi: y/n!!

Y/n was pushed off and fell towards the floor.

Y/n: OH BOY!!

Y/n closed his eyes and embraced for impact.

However, he didn't feel anything. He opened his eyes and noticed that he was being carried by a flying Katsumi.

Y/n: Katsumi!!

Katsumi was using her explosions as impulse to stay in the air. She directed herself towards her team and landed smoothly.

Y/n materialized on the front right, next to Ejira.

Ejira: Wow y/n, you're taking all of the attention from us!!

Y/n: Well we are a team, I can't steal everything now can i?!

Mic: SEVEN MINUTES IN, AND ITS A SPECTACULAR EVENT FOR THE PEOPLE!!

The crowd cheered. Cameras clicked and flashed.

Mic: AND WE HAVE FINALLY TAKEN THE INFORMATION FOR THE LEADER BOARD!! WE- huh? Wait a minute... BAKUGO WITH ZERO POINTS!!

Katsumi felt the cold wind hit her forehead. Katsumi's eyes widened, she turned to see a blonde girl with the million point headband.

Blonde: it wouldn't make sense for them to cut a ton of people in the qualifier, right?

Y/n: Katsumi?

Blonde: we just made sure we stayed within that number as we ran. There's no point in being obsessive over winning the premise right?

Katsumi glared at the blonde at her rage grew inside.

Blonde: It's better than going after a temporary "top" like a horse with a carrot waving in front of its face. Tell me about it sometime, how it's like to use the top for your benefits~.

Katsumi: Y/n.

Y/n: Kat.

Katsumi: Change of plans. We are killing her.

Y/n glances at Katsumi and then at the cocky blonde.

Y/n: 'have I seen her before?'

Izumi in the distance, noticed Katsumi's sudden steal.

Mic: THE CAVALRY BATTLE IS ABOUT TO REACH ITS SECOND HALF.

Shoko: Now's our chance.

Asui: When did you lose your headband?

Minora: I DONT KNOW!! Shoja! Full attack mode!

Shoja opened her arms and spread them, they went after Izumi.

Y/n: KATSUMI, CALM DOWN! IF YOU DONT WE WONT BE ABLE TO RETRIEVE IT PROPERLY!

Katsumi's palms let out small sparks.

Katsumi: I'M TOTALLY CALM!! Y/N, EJIRA, CHARGE!!

Y/n: Jeez, I don't know what I'll do with you!

Y/n and Ejira charged towards the blonde who just kept her smirk. Katsumi extended her arm, aiming to shoot the blonde in the face, y/n tapped Ejira on her shoulder. Ejira understood and took all of Katsumi's weight.

The blow from Katsumi was easily evaded, the blonde tapped Katsumi's arm. She sent her arm towards Katsumi's head. She closed her eyes from the blow. The smoke cleared and Katsumi's head was covered in a grey helmet. The helmet dematerialized as Katsumi sent an explosive right swing.

The blonde lightly touched Ejira's hair and lifted her forearm to protect. The blow landed and smoke came out. The blonde had stone skin on the side of the explosion.

Blonde: Your quirks are good, but mines better!

The blonde pushed Katsumi's arm away, leaving her open.

Blonde: Let's test this one!!

The blonde sent a right hook towards Katsumi, Katsumi couldn't react in time.

The blonde ones punch landed with a loud clang.

Blonde: Hm?

Y/n held the blonde's fist effortlessly with a glare.

Blonde: So nice to finally meet the male!

The blonde began to skillfully send swings and punches towards y/n. Y/n blocked and parried and even sent punches of his own.

Blonde: What your quirk? Metal skin?!

The blonde to inches y/n's skin and deactivated her stone skin. She sent a right uppercut. The hit landed but.

Blonde: Huh?

The blonde stared at her normal arm. Y/n remained unfazed at the hit.

Blonde: H-how?! What are you?!

Y/n: Ejira!

The group began to retreat. Y/n de materialized and formed along side Ejira.

Katsumi smirked at the blonde while wrapping a headband in her head.

The Blonde looked around herself and noticed that the headband was gone. She chuckled as she began to glance at the boy.

Blonde: Hm~

Y/n: HA! That went better than I expected! BRAKES!!

Y/n jumped and dug his feet to stop the group, Ejira followed his lead.

Mina: What is it y/n?!

Mina looked forwards and noticed that shoko and her group were in front. Sera handed some headbands to Katsumi, who sighed from relief, she got from other teams while they were busy.

Y/n: okay...little American standoff here...

Y/n's grip became tighter on Katsumi, who yelped lightly from the hand on her thigh.

Shoko: Tanya!!

Tanya began to dash towards the team. It appears that Momo and kaminara had some sort of skates.

Y/n: They're too fast! Ejira brace yourself!

Katsumi sent an explosion towards shoko's team. The explosion hit but they pushed through the smoke, revealing a sheet had protected them.

Y/n: It's momo!

Shoko: Kaminara!

Kaminara: Got it!

Kaminara shook her foot, shaking off the skate she had. She then stomped her foot on the floor.

Electricity flowed through the floor. Y/n dematerialized and protected, everyone's feet.

The electricity made contact as y/n yelled in pain. Momo had created a sheet that had been placed under the group, the other participants were electrocuted.

Shoko used her ice and created a giant glacier surrounding the two, closing them off from the rest.

Y/n's head materialized slightly as if it was ghost.

Kaminara stopped immediately. Y/n materialized on his position, slightly slumped down, his body smoking.

Katsumi: Y/n! Are you good?!

Y/n: I think...*pant* I feel...reenergized!!

Y/n suddenly stood straight as his e/c eyes changed colors to a glowing orange yellow, his veins also glowed yellow but they were in a software-like pattern.

Y/n: This feels better than I thought!

Katsumi sighed in relief. She looked in front of her and noticed that shoko was giving an order to Tanya. The group dashed at them.

Katsumi: Y/-!!

Too late. The group grabbed Katsumi's headband before she could call out his name.

Katsumi turned around and noticed that Tanya's legs were smoking.

Y/n: the headband!

Mic: SND TEAM BAKUGO HAS BEEN LEFT WITH ZERO POINTS!!

Shoko tied the headband around her forehead.

Katsumi's glare intensified. Shoko kept her stoic face.

Y/n: This isn't good.

Y/n analyses their opposing team. Tanya in the front, momo and Kaminari in the back.

Y/n: Okay then...Tanya's legs are smokin, Kaminari can be a benefit for us, momo and created objects to defend themselves, and shoko and trap us in ice.

Shoko: Remember, now, we must focus in defending. We have first place and we have only a minute left.

Y/n: Oh boy...this is gonna be intense...

Y/n: I told you that you should've dived.

Katsumi and the rest of the class were in the designated room for them. Y/n regulated his right hand to 20 degrees Fahrenheit and pressed it upon a red spot on Katsumi's head.

Katsumi growled in anger as she glared at a calm shoko across the room.

Shoko sat at a table that mostly consisted of the team she made in the cavalry battle.

Y/n: We ended up second, that's something right?

Katsumi: We could've gotten first.

Y/n sighed and patted Katsumi's head. He scanned Katsumi's forehead and noticed that the injury was gone. He was about to remove his hand but Katsumi grabbed it and pressed it back.

Katsumi: It still...it still hurts...

Katsumi just blushed lightly as y/n smiled. He pulled her in for a hug, Katsumi lied her body against him and enjoyed the warmth.

Izumi was with her group crying while hugging dark shadow.

Izumi: Thank you!! *sniffle* y-thank you so much! *cries*

Dark shadow looked at tokoyama for help. Tokoyama just lightly chuckled and ignored the plea for help.
