A hooded figure stood outside of Konoha, its feet barely touching the edge of border that separated the town from the rest of the world. A small smile formed in the persons lips as they placed their foot firmly on the ground inside of the gate.

"Finally home." A female voice said, identifying that the hooded person was a female. She glanced around of Konoha, only to noticed that both of the guards were asleep on their station. She laughed, shaking her head as she walked into the town, without being stopped by Konohas "elite" guard system they were said to have had in place.

The girl carried herself though the town, the sword on her back only slightly bouncing against her back as she walked. Her small black eyed darted around the town, her smile widening only slightly as all of the memories came flowing back to her.

She sighed slightly as she made her way towards the most familiar house in all of Konoha, the home she came from. Dogs surrounded the house, and a few people exited the houses that stood near hers, all with familiar markings on their faces and the same crazy hair that the girl had.

She walked up to the door that she once used to run in and out of, and placed a few gentle knocks upon the door. She took a step back from the door so that it could be opened by whoever was inside. Sure enough, the door was opened and there stood an older woman, with crazy brown hair and red fang marks on her face.

"May I help you?" The woman asked the young girl, tilting her head to the side slightly.

"I..." The girl trailed off, before she pulled her hood down. The girl behind the hood had matching red marks on her cheeks, and crazy shoulder length hair that seemed to stick out in every direction. She had the same face shape as the woman who was standing in front of her, and the same slightly upturned nose.

The woman, Tsume, inhaled sharply as she stared at the girl in front of her, small tears forming in her eyes. "No... It can't be." She said, staring at the small girl in front of her. "Ashi..?"She asked.

The girl nodded at her head very slightly as she looked at the woman who had given her everything. The woman who made her who she was today. She nodded at her mother, and gave her a small smile. "Hi mom." she whispered.

"Oh Kami." Tsume said, before she pulled her daughter close to her. Ashi placed her hands on her mothers back, hugging her tightly.

"I've missed you so much, mom." She mumbled into her mothers shoulder, before she was pulled into the house.

"I've missed you too, Ashi." She mumbled quietly back to her daughter, releasing her grip from on Ashi. She smiled slightly, reaching out and brushing her daughters hair out from her face. "You've gotten so big."

"People tend to grow in six years." She laughed, and her mother gave her a sad but amused look.

"That they do." She said. "Where have you been, who were you with, how did you get back?" Tsume asked, rolling off all the questions she had promised herself she would asked Ashi should she ever get the chance to again. But Ashi simply shook her head, and looked at her mother.

"No mom, I can't tell you. Not yet." Ashi said. "When I know I'm safe, I'll tell you. But for now, I can't."

The mother gave her daughter a pained look, before sighing and nodding slightly. "Alright Ashi." She replied, before taking her daughters hand and pulling her down the hallway towards where her old room was. "But here's your room." She said, pointing towards the room that Ashi used to stay in all the time.

She opened the door and smiled slightly, noticing they hadn't changed a thing. Everything was exactly how she remembered it, the bed was still placed against the left wall and the desk still beside of the bed, with two picture frames on the table.

"We didn't change anything incase you came home." Tsume said, smiling slightly. "We never gave up hope. Especially your brother. You should go see during lunch today, I think it be more than a welcomed surprise."

"That's a great idea. But one problem about my room is there is no way I will fit into any of these clothes. Is there any I can borrow from someone?" She asked, and Tsume nodded slightly at her child.

"Kiba would be the best fit, but Hana might have some too. Either way, the clothes are going to be big on you. You're a lot smaller than the rest of us." She chuckled, ruffling her daughters hair before pulling her closer in another hug.

"I love you, Ashi." She said quietly, kissing her head.

"I love you too, mom." She mumbled quietly. "Is Kiba's room still the same?"

"Yes." Tsume replied before she left her daughter alone, going to tend to the dogs. It wasn't that she wasn't happy to see her daughter, because she was, but that's just how Tsume was. She wasn't a very loving person, but the people she did love knew that she did, even if she didn't show it all that often.

Ashi walked down to her twin brothers room, and smiled slightly. His room didn't seem to have changed that much, and she was kind of relieved. This meant that she knew exactly where to go to get clothes in his room, and she quickly did that. When she was done, she was dressed in a pair of black regulation ninja pants, and a black shirt she had found in the closet. On her feet were her own ninja shoes, and she pulled her hair back so that the wild mess was no longer in her face.

Ashi nodded slightly before she walked out of the room, mentally preparing herself to meet her brother. For the most part, she was completely okay with seeing him. But the other half of her was completely nervous and shocked. For years she had dreamed of seeing her brother and sister again, and she was about to do one of those things. It was mind blowing.

The black eyed girl glanced at the clock on the wall, noticing that her brother wouldn't go on lunch for another hour or two. So with this spare time, Ashi decided that she could go speak to the Hokage about her return, and maybe do a small amount of clothe shopping on her way so that she would no longer have to steal her brother clothes; she didn't think he would appreciate all of his clothes being stolen by his sister.

"Mom, I'm going to the Hokages office, and then to see Kiba." She called out, before walking out of the door.

Ashi arrived at the Hokages Office, placing three knocks on the door. From within the office, she heard a raspy voice say "Enter." and that is what she did.

She walked into the office, and stared at the old man. Hiruzen looked at the girl with a raised eyebrow, before motioning for her to come closer.

"An Inuzuka?" The Hokage said, looking at Ashi. "But I don't seem to recognize your face. Tell me, child, who are you?"

"My name is Ashi Inuzuka. Daughter of Tsume, twin of Kiba Inuzuka, and younger sister of Hana. At the age of six, I was kidnapped from the fourth training field of Konoha while playing with my brother." She said, and the Hokage nodded slightly.

"Hard to believe you've returned." Hiruzen said. "I remember you, Ashi. I remember you coming to my office when I would assign your mother missions, and you would sit on the floor over there and draw on my floor." He chuckled slightly.

"I remember, old man." Ashi laughed slightly, nodding at the Hokage. "I am here to ask a favor, since I've returned. I want to become a Genin. While I didn't train under Konoha Shinobi, I have learned a significant amount while I was gone. I want to continue my studies under a Sensei."

"The only problem with that, Ashi, is all of the three men squad are being decided . We don't have any more Genin to create a new squad."

"Put me on a squad as an extra. I'm qualified. I promise, lord Hokage." Ashi said, staring at the old man with stern, honest eyes.

"... I will consider it. The students will take their graduation exam here soon. Once we completely know who will pass, and who failed, I'll try to put you on a team where you will be most perfectly place. Where you can be the most help."

"Thank you, Lord Hokage." Ashi replied.

"Now, I must ask. Have you seen your brother yet? That child needs someone to push him down the right direction, since he's constantly sleeping, and barely passing his classes higher than Naruto."

"I haven't seen him yet, but I plan to go when they go on lunch. Which isn't for another hour I believe." She said, glancing at the clock and the old man nodded slightly.

"If you would like, you could interrupt their class just this once. Today is the graduation exam, so I do not believe Iruka would care all that much." Hiruzen said, and Ashi nodded with a small bow.

"Thank you sir." She said, below she turned and walked out of the room. Hizuren stared at the girl as she walked away, shaking his head slightly.

'That girl doesn't seem like she belongs in a group of Genin. She's matured far beyond her age. It's a shame. She never got to be a real child.' He thought to himself, before returning to his paperwork.

Ashi stopped outside of the Academy, staring up at the large building from where she stood. With a sigh of nervousness, she pushed the door open and entered the academy.

When she walked in, she was greeted by a woman who was standing behind of the desk, nodding at her with a warming feeling. "May I help you?" The woman asked, and Ashi nodded slightly

"Could you direct me towards Iruka-Sensei's classroom, please?" Ashi asked, her hands behind of her body as she gave a gentle nod towards the woman.

"Of course. You're going to go down that hallway, and take a left. Travel all the way down that hallway, and Iruka's room is the third one on the right." The woman said, pointing in the directions that Ashi needed to start going in.

"Arigatō!" Ashi said, waving as she walked down the hallway towards where she had to go. Ashi as she walked, continued to take deep breaths the closer to the room. The closer she got, the more nervous she was.

Now, Ashi was a girl who had been conditioned to never be scared, no matter what was happened. She was taught that fear was the key to weakness, and weakness would get you killed. But how could she not be scared at this moment? The last time she saw her twin brother, she was merely six years old. She was a child, and she hardly had memory of what he looked like. Just odd and in little things.

And she was also nervous to face her best friends, should they also be in the room. In the beginning of the academy, Ashi became good friends with two boys at the academy. One named Shikamaru Nara, and the other Sasuke Uchiha. At the kids young age, if she wasn't with one of them, she was defiantly with the other. They were rarely ever apart, but then they were apart for six years. She couldn't help but think of all the things that could have changed. All of the things that would be different, and it scared her.

Ashi approached the door, and placed a gentle knock on the door. From the other side, the girl heard a "Come in.". With gentle hands, she slowly opened the door. Her breathing was hard and uneven, and she stared at the floor as she entered the room.

"May I help you?" Iruka asked, and Ashi took a deep breath before she looked up, glancing around the classroom. A gasp or two was heard, but the part that stood out the most was the two boys that stood up and stared at her, and the three voices that spoke all at the same time, the same exact word.

"Ashi."
