Kuroo cared for Kenma as best he could, but the fever wasn't going down, and the cold sweats just got worse. It seemed pointless to keep him here, so the older gave in and drove Kenma to the hospital.

   "It's just the flu, but it's good that you brought him here now. Much longer and the illness could have progressed into a much more serious issue."

   Thank God I thought to bring him, Kuroo thought to himself.

Dear Kenma,
   The doctor said you would get better, and trust me I believe him. But right now you're asleep and I couldn't bear to tell this to your face. I love you more than words can express, but I feel like more things like this will happen. And yes, we could handle them, but you're already weak enough, in a cute way. I want the best for you, so I'm leaving this note, and leaving with myself. Please, don't try and find me.

   Kenma woke up the following morning, and saw the note. Tears formed in his eyes but he understood. He never searched for Kuroo, and eventually found a nice girlfriend who treated him wonderfully. But Tetsurou was always in the back of his mind.

   "Ahh Kenma you're awake!" Kuroo exclaimed, running to the blonde and hugging him tight.

   "Yeah, is everything okay?" Kenma asked in return to the display of affection.

   "As long as you're in my arms, everything is okay."
