Steven was glad Amethyst had reformed. He was horrified at what he had heard. Steven and Amethyst waited and waited for Bismuth to reform but that took to long. Steven started to get hungry so Steven put Bismuth's Gem in a bubble and went to look for any sign of Beach City. Amethyst and Steven walked for hours still lost. Until Amethyst noticed something she saw a road. They ran over to the road. Steven remembers this road they were only a few miles away from Beach City.They ran and ran until finally the saw beach city.

Beach City... buildings on fire people running around running away from germs bad gems. Steven forgot about his hunger and ran into beach city trying to help everybody he saw. He saw gems. Healed gems trying to help the citizens trying to protect the citizens.

Amethyst followed along whip in hand she was worried about Steven. When Steven and Amethyst got to the gems protecting the people he saw Centi struggling to fight an Emerald Steven ran up to the Emerald Immediately poofing it with a bubble gauntlet.

He saw Rubies running in to fight the little homeworld gems. While little homeworld rubies fought the other rubies. The bad Rubies fused while little homeworld rubies fused as well just to be equal in strength. Steven watched in horror as the Rubies punched each other until the fusions couldn't handle it.

Steven ran into stop the rubies he had poofed all the bad rubies and bubbled them and sent them into the temple. The bad gems retreated leaving their allies poofed and alone with the enemy. Steven bubbled the remaining gems so he could interrogate them on were the missing little homeworld gems are.

Steven walked around to look for any loose gems and bubble them. He saw the Big Donut on fire Fun land demolished. He saw Lars and Sadie trying to help people evacuate. Steven wondered what he would do with the bad gems.

Amethyst decided she would try to cheer up Steven by taking his mind off the problems. She took him to the seashore were nothing was damaged they sat together talking about the past when things were not as complicated. They talked about the together breakfast incident they talked about how he first summoned his shield they talked about all the jokes they used to make. It's been a long day for Steven and Steven fell asleep on Amethyst lap. She didn't mind knowing it was the only comfortable position for him. She found it cute that for a 16 year old he still sleeps as peaceful as a baby.
