00. Prologue

RULES OF BEING A GUARDIAN ANGEL:
1. Do not interfere with the life of your human. If you have to, you must remain anonymous.
2. Never have a relationship with the human you are guarding.
3. Never inform a human of their fate.
4. Never attempt to change the fate of a human.
5. Never betray your brothers and sisters for a human. You must remain loyal to Heaven.

Humans have guardians. Well, the important ones at least. Prophets have archangels over their shoulders, the Winchesters have Castiel. The blue-eyed angel had claimed the brothers basically seconds after he snatched the elder one up from Hell.

Having been demoted from a warrior to just a guardian, Azriel wasn't thrilled to spend her days protecting a human being. She imagined it would not be stimulating at all and she would constantly be bored. Well, she was completely wrong, as a matter of fact.

Azriel was assigned Charlie Bradbury, a lively hacker with vibrant hair and a fierce spirit. Apparently the redhead would play a part in an upcoming war, and even after that.

The angel was never one to follow rules. She'd always been a rebel, which caused her to gain a reputation among her brothers and sisters. So when it comes to a duty that she doesn't even want to do in the first place, it's obvious that Azriel isn't going to operate inside of the guidelines.

Soon enough, she'll find herself breaking every single rule and swearing loyalty to the one she guards. When she finds out that Charlie is doomed to die, Azriel is determined to change the fate of the fiery-haired girl.

"I'd turn against all of Heaven and fight my way through Hell if it meant saving you."
