03 | ❝Because I am special here!❞

"Ahhh- you're finally back Zivah. You have no idea what all happened here when you weren't here past these three days." I heard Rita's voice making me smile.

"I know, I know. Everything good has to happen in my absence. Now tell me what happened? Did Ashish finally propose to you?" I asked mischievously.

"Ashish? And proposing me? He is only good with technology and stuff. I don't even expect him making a move towards me. The only place he moves around is on 15th floor at the IT department." Rita grumbled making me chuckle. Her frustration was visible about the fact how her crush behaves.

"And you know what? Nothing good happened. It was only disasters each day." She continued making me shocked.

"Disasters? How?" I frowned questioningly.

"Let's start in the order. On the first day of your absence, Mr. Raichand didn't get his coffee on time. And then we heard by someone that he yelled like anything on the poor soul, Jhanvi because his coffee wasn't per his liking. Why don't you inform him that it's always you who makes the perfect coffee for him, not Jhanvi or any other employee?" She responded.

His love for coffee again!

"Not happening at all." I deadpanned with a known look.

"Whatever. So, after that there was a meeting with board members for which he'd assigned Khushi to do each preparations. What he doesn't know is that you're the one who finalizes everything, not these little birdies around here. And again it was a round of yelling towards Khushi from his side which she even cried for. You know, I really felt bad for that poor lad, but I couldn't do anything in this matter. So, let's just say the meeting didn't go any well because of his anger and temper." She ended with a sigh.

"Well- wow." I breathed out, quite shocked.

"Exactly. So now the second day means yesterday." She said making me nod my head.

Gossips are always fun to listen.

"Because the meeting didn't go well, he was grumpy yesterday. Like a lot as I discovered that well on his blank face. He literally glared at Nisha, the new receptionist when he found her talking on her phone with someone. Leaving that aside, he fired almost 15 employees. For what? Because he didn't find their work up to mark. And I know it's because of his anger of yesterday. Why did you have to take a leave?" She grumbled this time.

"You know why. Dad needed me even though he never says the same." I said with a known look.

"I understand. So now the third day which is today. Thank God you came back early first of all." She responded.

"It was kinda forced from his side." I shrugged.

"Ohh. Well today, he was a bit calm than before. But I got to know that he got a call from Amara's college. Why did that girl had to do some trouble at this point? He was like raging in anger when he exited the building." She ended with a deep, big sigh and I knew it was for Amara. Everyone cares about her so much unknowingly.

"Okay, first of all tell me where do you listen these gossip from? The last one was personal, okay?" I huffed.

"It was the Mr. Raichand's temporary secretary. She's such an irritating soul I tell you, but at the end she gives the best of news or more like gossips." She replied making me grit my teeth.

And it was the point, I'd made a mental note to take care of this temporary secretary.

"So where are they? Returned yet or not?" I questioned with deep interest.

"Not yet." Rita shook her head making my nervousness increase.

"Well, hearing you I think I have a lot to catch up with. I'll see you later." I waved off making my way to the private elevator which will take me to my destination.

It wasn't after long that I was back at doing my work which I certainly missed doing so past these two days.

Being at 26, I am currently practicing to take over my company. And that practice is under Arjun Raichand, one of the best name in the business field. It was my Dad who'd requested or more like asked him to train me as I am the sole heir of Rai Enterprises because of some uncertain circumstances.

The training had started two years back, when I had just completed my masters in business and till now it's being continued.

No matter I had been trying to ask Mr. Arjun Raichand about the ending of my training period since six months, everytime he waves off the topic. And even my Dad doesn't seems to have any problem as he says, more the merrier.

I don't even know what my post is since two years. Either I will find myself making presentations for the meetings of him or sometimes it's me standing beside him to see how he does or performs things. I even have to make reviews about how the company is working at times.

There are times when he asks about my opinion regarding things going on in the company and business, but it's never more than that. Just business. And even at that times, his words are so less that I can only wonder how he is able to make people understand things.

That cold look he gives.

That rude aura he reflects.

That zero emotions he shows to everyone.

"Who are you?" A rude voice broke the chain of my thoughts.

"Excuse me? Who are you?" I questioned back.

"I am the new secretary of Arjun Sir. What are you doing here?" She asked looking at me with something that looked like disgust.

I agree that I don't dress too formally because I never feel comfortable in such clothes but that doesn't mean that I show up in Tshirt and a pair of shorts. It's decent and Arjun never had a problem with the same.

"Here for my training. Now if you'll just excuse me." Saying this I turned on my heels making my way towards the office to review the file as per my daily routine.

"Wait!" Her screeching voice was heard again making me roll my eyes.

Why couldn't I just walk faster?

"What now?" I tried my best to keep up the polite look.

"Here for training right? Go on the fifth floor where interns work. And most importantly how dare you even try to go in Arjun Sir's office. You shouldn't even come on this floor at the first place." She hissed pointing her too manicured finger at my direction.

"And who are you to tell me that? You just started as a secretary two days ago. What you don't know is it's me as well whose office is on this floor only. The door you see beside Mr. Raichand's office is mine." I ended while pointing to the glass door of my office.

"Y-yours? But why?" She frowned with a sour look making me groan mentally.

"Because I am special here." Flicking my hair back while saying this, I was out of her sight inside my office.

"Zivah Ma'am, there's trouble." Natasha barged into my office with a panicked look on her face.

It had only been around twenty minutes since I had saved myself from Mr. Raichand's so called secretary. And these twenty minutes were so relaxing unlike before.

"Relax Natasha. What trouble by the way?" I asked pointing to the chair in front of me.

"There's no time to relax Ma'am if I don't want myself to get fired by Arjun Sir." She rambled.

"Why would you get fired?" I asked with a raised eyebrows.

When will this fear of Mr. Arjun Raichand stop?

"Because he'd asked me to make a presentation for the meeting he's having today and I made for the next one. I absolutely have no time to make for this one and the problem is this meeting is really important." She continued her rambling with the most scared expression.

She looked as if she's on the verge of tears.

"Wait a minute Natasha. When is this meeting exactly?" I questioned.

"Most probably under a couple of hours if not less." She breathed out.

"Great then. It'll be enough for us to make another one if we'll work together." I smiled at her.

"You will seriously help me Ma'am?" She asked hopefully.

"Of course Natasha. We don't want you to get fired now do we?" I said mischievously.

"I knew I could come at you for any problem." She said gratefully.

"No formalities needed Natasha. Now, let's start our work okay?" I asked pointing to the laptop in her hands.

"Definitely." She grinned taking the seat beside me and it wasn't after long that we were engrossed in making the presentation.

Around an hour later, we were at the almost end of our presentation. Don't know how, but we were able to manage everything and present it in the best of ways possible at the same time.

"Ma'am the email isn't working. It's showing not able to send everytime I did it." Natasha said pointing to the laptop screen.

"Don't worry. Try it after sometime." I waved off dismissively.

The morning itself had been enough blunder for me that I didn't need anymore.

"There's no time Ma'am. Arjun Sir is already off to his way for the meeting." She rambled.

"How do you know?" I frowned.

"Well I had asked Usman Uncle to let me know when he arrives so that I prepare myself for the resignation." She pouted.

And I couldn't help, but to laugh.

"Why don't we try it from another device?" I asked.

"Absolutely." She grinned hopefully at the same time.

As she forwarded the file to the reception's computer on 29th floor which was made specially for Mr. Raichand, we just sprinted to the same from my office.

"Ma'am, why isn't it working? Is there any problem with the email ID?" She frowned with a panicked look.

"Why don't you leave it to me Natasha? I'll find a way out and till then you can keep trying the same again and again?" I said.

"Y-yes. Whatever you say." She replied getting back to her laptop.

I quickly entered the email ID, which only I knew about as it was for me to send my reviews to Mr. Raichand. I don't know why I did that, but it was the only option left at this point if we didn't want him to burst out on Natasha.

I can only hope he checks this.

"It's not working." She voiced out after moments of silence.

"Just a second." I whispered and clicked on the 'send' button.

"It worked!" I shouted.

"It worked? It worked? Did it really work?" She still looked on the verge of tears making me frown in confusion.

"It did Natasha. Now just relax." I responded, chuckling lightly.

"Oh my god! I won't lose my job now. Thank you so much Ma'am." She said happily.

Well atleast Natasha is safe from his daily wrath of firing the employees.

"What's up darling? Missed me?" I heard a voice making me grin.

"Missed you like anything babe." I chuckled moving towards her, where she was standing just outside the elevator.

"I missed you too Zee. How is he by the way?" Amara questioned wrapping her arm around my shoulder.

"Same old health. Doesn't listens and just wants everything to be done according to him." I replied shrugging my shoulders.

"Leave that, okay. Now tell what did you do this time?" I questioned raising my eyebrows.

"Not you too Zee. It wasn't my fault this time okay. It was a dare by the idiots and I hadn't even started it in the first place when Mr. Pradyuman caught me. He just wants Arjun Bro to scold me or something." She rambled in response making me chuckle.

"I wonder when this war between Mr. Pradyuman and you will stop." I said while shaking my head.

"Oh, but I know cause it'll never." She deadpanned making me smile knowingly.

"What was his reaction?" I questioned the thought which was nagging my brain since long.

"Hilarious. He supported me even this time and when the principal was trying to make his point, Arjun Bro stopped him two times. And he was like I need to go for an important meeting so, I'll take a leave. It was so obvious how disinterested he was in the complaints of him." She laughed while getting inside my cabin.

"You're literally saying the opposite of what I expected." I blurted.

"Well, what can we do? Arjun Bro is always so unexpected." She shrugged taking the seat in front of me.

"So, anything interesting that happened when I was away?" I questioned looking at her hopefully.

"Oh my god, yes! I heard someone proposed Arjun Bro." She replied enthusiastically.

And I bursted out laughing at this.

"Amara, now's not the time of jokes. C'mon tell me if anything interesting that happened or not." I said waving my hand.

"I am not joking Zee. A girl seriously proposed Arjun Bro." She said and my eyes went wide as I saw her serious expression.

A girl proposed to Mr. Raichand?

Didn't she like feel the coldness which I always do from his side? Or is it just me?

"And you know the best part, I got to know that this was the first time when Arjun Bro didn't get angry at this. Instead he himself couldn't believe what had happened. He literally ran away from the scene." She laughed making me chuckle at the last part as well.

Mr. Raichan ran!? He ran away instead of snapping? Well, that's quite unbelievable.

"Sorry to say, but the scene would've been so funny. I swear I would faint if I see that look on Mr. Raichand's face." I laughed.

"You would faint? And here I would die of laughing. Just imagine him running in that stiff posture he's always seen in." She said dreamily.

"When did it exactly happen?" I asked.

"Two days ago. It was around the night time when he was exiting the office to come at home. She like ran in front of office for him before he could make his way to the car." She responded.

"How did you get to know this?" I questioned with a faint smile.

"Rita. She got to know by his new secretary. What's her name? Yeah, Esha." She responded making me roll my eyes.

She's such a big gossiping bird.

"I wish I had seen this." I muttered shaking my head.

"Same dude same." She said with a sulken face.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, Mimi is sick." I pouted, my mood again turned sour.

"My baby is sick? Why didn't you tell me earlier? And where is she?" Amara rambled mirroring my expression.

"She's back at home with Sheila Aunty. I had asked Mr. Sinha to check on her. I just hope she's fine now." I replied.

My Mimi is my life.

"Amara!" A voice boomed which I immediately recognized as Mr. Raichand's making me sink down on my seat.

"Why are you getting scared Zee? I can tell he's not angry. His voice has been like this always." Amara chuckled and it didn't affect me to least.

"Why don't you go to him before he makes his way here in my office which I wouldn't like?" I asked hopefully.

"Wow, that's a great idea." Saying this she shouted 'Here Bro' making me glare at her.

And it was only a couple of seconds later that the cabin's door opened up revealing the man dressed in an all black suit like always completely matching the set of his midnight black eyes.

"You are back Ms. Rai?"

Hey guys!

So, y'all have finally met Zivah. What's your opinion about her? Well, isn't Amara and Zivah a good pair for Arjun to bear with?

How was the chapter, btw?
