Hawks was just about to finish his daily patrol when he spotted a faint blue glow coming from the end of an alleyway. Knowing exactly who it was, he told his sidekicks to head back to the agency ahead of him. Waiting until they were out of sight, the winged hero walked down the dark alley until he came to the source of the blue light.

"You couldn't have waited until I got home?" he asked. "You really are impatient."

"Oh c'mon," Dabi replied. "I had to tolerate you working today. You can at least give me some slack for this." Hawks sighed and smiled at the patchwork villain, shaking his head.

"This is why I'm still with you, you know," he winked. "At least 30%."

The villain smiled and handed the blonde a small package. Hawks took it and opened it. Inside was a winged heart necklace with a small flame engraved in the middle.

"Dabi.. this is..," Hawks was at a loss for words as he gazed at the necklace. "How did you..?"

"I noticed that you've been looking at that necklace for a while now, and I know someone who was willing to keep my identity secret and was selling a few of them," he explained. "Do you like it?"

"Like it? I love it!" Hawks gave the villain a huge hug. "This is by far the best gift anyone has given me. Thank you so much." Dabi ran his fingers through some of the hero's feathers, causing him to rub his head against the villain even more.

"Anything for my little bird," Dabi replied. "I just wish we didn't have to be so secretive about our relationship."

"I know what you mean," Hawks placed his hand over Dabi's. "But it's what we have to endure being a villain and hero couple." He placed a kiss on Dabi's cheek before turning and spreading his wings. "I'll see you back at home. Love you." He blew him a quick kiss before taking off.

The flame villain caught the kiss and held it over his heart. He briefly closed his eyes and smiled.

"You mean more than the world to me, so I will endure it all. For you."
