At dining table

Everyone was settled in the dining table and was waiting for the breakfast to come

Karan to was present there as after helping Preeta he immediately left the kitchen so that no one could know that helped her in making the breakfast

Karan (in mind): Bass kisi ko pata nahi chale.. ki maine Preeta ki help ki khaana bana ne mai.. warna Kareena bua uski bohot insult karegi

He looked at Kareena who was continuously looking at her wrist watch waiting for the breakfast

Karan sighs but his gaze at Preeta who was coming with the breakfast.. he smiled seeing her

Karan (smiling): Preeta aa gayi

Listening to him everyone looked at Preeta who was coming with the breakfast except Kareena who was looking at her sternly

Preeta kept the breakfast in the dining table

Rakhi (smiling): Preeta beta aa gayi tu? Kya banaya hai tune

Before Preeta could say anything Kareena interrupted

Kareena (angrily): Tumhe etna time kaise lag gaya breakfast bana ne mai? Samaye ki koi kadar tumhe hai bhi yaa nahi.. hum sab kabse intezar kar rahe the

Preeta (nervously): Woh.. woh bua....

Karan immediately cuts her off

Karan: Bua kya aap bhi.. der toh kisi se bhi ho sakti hai naa.. aur utni bhi der nahi hui hai usee.. (Preeta looked at him) aaj uska iss ghar mai pehla din hai.. toh kitchen mai saman nahi mil raha hoga usee

Kareena: Waah beta.. shaadi ko ekk din nahi hua.. ki biwi ki side lene lage (to Mahesh) dekha naa bhai aapne iss

Mahesh: Dekha bhi aur suna bhi (Kareena smirked) aur Karan ne kuch galat nahi kaha (Kareena's smirk vanished) tu kya uss bacchi k peeche par rahi hai.. aree aaj pehla din hai uska iss ghar mai.. samaye toh lage gaa naa sab kuch samajhne mai

Preeta smiled slightly listening to him

Rakhi: Preeta tu yeh sab baate chhod aur sabko serve kar.. khoosbo toh bohot acchi aa rahi hai

Preeta nodes and served everyone.. she looked at all of them nervously

Preeta (in mind): Agar kisi ko pata chal gaya.. ki breakfast Karan ne banaya hai maine nahi toh? (nervously)

Everyone took a bite and praised Preeta except Kareena

Sameer: Bhabhi kya kheer banayi hai aapne

Rakhi: Haa Preeta puttar bass kheer nahi.. saara khaana accha bana hai

Mahesh smiles and nodes

Kritika: Par pata nahi (all looked at her) bhabhi k banaye hue khaane ka taste bilkul bhai k haath k bane hue khaane jaisa hai

Rakhi looked at Karan who looks away

Kareena (to Karan): Karan tumne banaya hai naa khaana? Mai kabse sochu ki iss ladki k banaye hua khaana khaa kar aisa ku lag raha hai.. ki yeh pehle bhi khaya hai

Preeta looked at her fearly while Karan sighs irritatedly at Kareena

Sameer glared at Kritika who slapped her forehead at her irritative mother

Kritika: Common mom.. aap ku Preeta bhabhi pe doupt kar rahi hai.. abb Karan bhai ku help karenge

Rakhi: Wahi naa Kareena didi.. aap ku bechari k peeche par gayi hai

Mahesh (to Preeta): Preeta puttar tu naa Kareena ki baato mai dhyaan matt de khaana bohot accha bana hai

Kareena: Aap sab kal ki aayi iss (points towards Preeta) ladki k liye mujhse behes kar rahe hai.. ekk toh zabardasti aapne Karan ki shaadi etne low class ladki se karwa di

Karan clenched his fists angrily.. Preeta looked down tearfully while Kareena continues

Kareena: Class hi kya hai iss ladki ka humare saamne.. yeh

Karan stood up angrily and cuts her off

Karan (angrily): Bass bua.. (Kareena flinched) khabardar jo aapne abb Preeta k baare mai ekk shabd bhi kaha.. Preeta k class ki baat kar rahi hai naa aap.. toh suniye.. uska class wahi hai.. jo mera hai.. meri wife hai woh.. Preeta Karan Luthra hai woh.. aur kisi ko bhi.. I repeat kisi ko bhi.. mai right nahi deta.. ki woh mere samne meri wife ki insult kare.. aapko bhi nahi

Mahesh and Rakhi looked at him proudly while Preeta was looking at him with slight tears

She thought that she always insults him but he didn't even raised his voice towards her

Even he took a stand for her when his bua was insulting her

She came back to senses when Karan held her hand.. she looked at him

Karan didn't uttered a word and took her upstairs

Kareena sighs angrily

Kareena (angrily): Dekha aap sab ne.. kaise apni biwi k liye Karan ne meri insult ki.. uske liye mujhpe chillaya woh

Mahesh: Haa toh kuch galat nahi kiya mere bete ne.. tujhe thori si bhi sharam nahi aayi.. woh bacchi.. uske peeche hi pad gayi hai tu.. kya bigada hai usne tera? Bass Karan ko hi nahi.. mujhe bhi manzoor nahi hai.. ki tu meri bahu k khilaaf kuch bole.. Preeta iss ghar ki badi bahu hai.. aur tu uske liye mai ekk shabd nahi sununga

Kareena looked at him unbelievably while Mahesh leaves from there

Kareena (to Rakhi): Yeh bhai aur Karan ko kya ho gaya hai? Yeh log Preeta k liye mujhe suna k jaa rahe hai.. bhabhi yeh Preeta naa humare ghar k liye bohot ashub hai.. pehle din hi bahi aur Karan ko mere khilaf kar diya..

Rakhi: Bass Kareena di.. bohot ho gaya.. abhi Mahesh ji aapko keh kar gaye naa.. ki Preeta k khilaaf ekk shabd nahi.. toh nahi

Kareena was shocked listening to her while Rakhi to leaves from there

She looked at Sameer and Kritika

Kritika: Mumma please.. mujhe bhi abhi aapki koi bakwas sun ne mai koi interest nahi hai (to Sameer) Sameer bhai chalo.. mujhe aaj shaam ko bhai aur bhabhi ki reception hai.. toh bohot kaam hai

Sameer nodes and they too left from there.. Kareena was sitting there being shocked

Kareena: Yeh sabko ho kya gaya hai.. ekk hi din mai sab Preeta ki liye mujhe suna k chale gaye.. yaha tak ki meri khud ki beti bhi

Karan was going out when Rakhi stopped him

Rakhi: Karan sunn naa jara

Karan stopped and looked at her

Karan: Kya hua mom?

Rakhi: Mujhe tujhse kuch puchna hai

Karan: Puchiye naa mom

Rakhi (sternly): Aaj ka breakfast tune banaya tha (Karan was about to say) mujhe jhooth nahi sacch sunn naa hai

Karan sighs and nodes

Karan: Haa mom.. maine banaya tha breakfast.. par aap please Preeta ko kuch matt bolna.. mom usee khaana bana naa nahi aata.. par isme uska koi fault nahi hai.. woh bechari.. usne toh bohot suffer kiya hai.. aap.. aap please usee kuch matt bolna.. please

Rakhi smiles and cups his face

Rakhi: Tujhe aisa ku lagta hai.. ki mai Preeta ko kuch kahungi.. mujhe pata hai.. ki Preeta k saath bachpan se kya hua hai.. uski mom.. meri friend hai.. aur maine dekha hai.. ki woh uske saath kaise behave karti thi.. bohot saha hai uss bacchi ne bachpan se.. maine uski shaadi tere se isliye karayi.. ku ki mujhe laga tu usee khush rakhega.. usee woh pyaar dega.. jo usee bachapan se nahi mila

Karan: Aap chinta matt kariye mom.. mai Preeta ka humesa khayal rakhunga (in mind: chahe woh mujhe pasand kare yaa nahi)

Rakhi smiled listening to him

Karan: Accha mom.. abb mai chalta hu

Rakhi: Haa par shaam ko reception hai.. toh jaldi aa jaana

Karan nodes and left from there

Flashback

Preeran's Room

As soon as they entered the room Karan immediately left Preeta's hand

Before she could say Karan interrupted

Karan: Dekho I know.. tumhe pasand nahi hai.. ki mai tumhe touch karu.. aur tumne mujhe mana bhi kiya tha.. but maine bass tumhe upar laane k liye haath pakda tha.. warna bua tumhe non stop sunati rehti.. yeh unki purani aadat hai.. tum unki baato ko mind matt karna okk

Preeta nodes

Preeta: Thank you.. maine tumse etni rudely behave kiya.. tab bhi tumne meri help ki.. aur toh aur mere liye apni bua se bhi jhagda kiya

Karan: Thanks kehne ki koi jarurat nahi hai.. maine jo bhi kiya apni wife k liye kiya (smiles sadly) bhale hi tum mujhe apna pati nahi manti.. par mai tumhe apni wife manta hu.. aur apne husband hone ka har farz mai nibhaunga (sighs) kahir chhodo yeh sab.. dekho agar tum mujhe apna husband nahi toh friend toh Maan sakti ho naa.. abb etni help ki maine tumhari aaj.. toh etna toh favour kar hi sakti ho?

Saying this he forwards his hand for a handshake but Preeta looked away

Karan awkwardly takes his hand back and glanced at her sadly

Karan: It's okk.. agar tum comfortable nahi ho toh.. mai tumhe force nahi karunga (Preeta looked at him) abb.. abb mai acedmy k liye nikalta hu.. tum.. tum apna khayal rakhna

Saying this he left from there wiping the tear which fell from his eyes

After Karan went from there Preeta says

Preeta: Mujhe lagta hai.. ki mai Karan se kuch jyada hi rudely behave kar rahi hu.. woh utna bhi bura nahi hai.. aaj ketni madad ki usne meri aur mere liye apni bua k saamne stand bhi liya.. aur mai hu ki.. jab dekho usko sunati rehti hu

She sighs but then smiles remembering the moment he fought Kareena for her

Flashback ends

At evening

Karan came back from the acedmy and looked at Preeta who was getting ready for the reception party

He looked at her and was mesmerized by her beauty

Preeta who was getting ready feeling some gaze turned and looked at Karan standing there looking at her lostly

Preeta raised her eyebrows in confusion

Preeta: Tum kab aaye

Listening to her Karan immediately came back to senses

Karan: Mai.. mai toh bass abhi aaya.. tum taiyaar ho gayi? (Preeta nodes) good mai bhi change kar k aata hu.. phir saath mai neeche jaunga

Preeta nodes and Karan was about to go inside the washroom but Preeta stopped him holding his wrist

Karan looked at her being confused

Preeta: Mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai

Karan: Haa bolo naa

Preeta: Woh tumne kaha tha naa.. ki hum friends bann sakte hai

Karan (cuts her off): But Preeta agar tum comfortable nahi ho toh mai tumhe force nahi karunga.. maine tumhe yeh baat subha bhi kahi thi naa

Preeta (irritated): Tum baar baar meri baat ko beech mai ku kaat dete ho.. pehle meri baat toh suno

Karan nodes looking at her with wide eyes.. Preeta takes a deep breath and said

Preeta: Dekho mai.. mai tumse friendship karne k liye taiyaar hu.. (Karan looked at her surprisingly) toh.. toh kya tum mere friend banoge?

She raised her eyebrows at him cutely.. Karan smiles widely

Karan: Of course why not.. so aaj se hum friends

He again forwards his hand but then he remembered Preeta has asked him not to touch her

So thinking about the same he was about to take his hand back but before he could Preeta immediately held his hand and shaked hand with him while looking at him with smile

And when he saw her smile he fell more harder for her

Two minutes passed but Karan was still holding Preeta's hand while gazing at her lostly

Preeta: Karan.. mera haath chhod

She sighs and shook him.. he come back to senses and immediately left her hand

Karan: Woh.. woh sorry mai..

Preeta: Koi.. koi baat nahi.. tum jaake taiyaar ho jao.. mai wait kar rahi hu

Karan nodes and went to washroom after taking his clothes

After sometime Karan came out of washroom changing his clothes.. Preeta looked at him

He was wearing a white shirt and a black coat over his shirt

He went towards the dressing table and wore his watch

While he was getting ready Preeta was busy admiring him

And for the very first time she realized that how handsome her husband is

She came back to senses when Karan called her

Karan: Preeta (Preeta looked at him) kaha kho gayi thi

Preeta (nervously): Kahi.. kahi toh nahi.. (in mind: Preeta tu pagal ho gayi hai kya.. aise kya ghoor rahi thi usee)

Karan: Neeche chale ?

Preeta looked at him nodes

He starts going from there but Preeta stopped him

Preeta: Karan (Karan looked at her) woh.. woh.. actually mujhe jyada gathering se darr lagta hai.. tum toh etne bade celebrity ho.. toh neeche media bhi hogi shayad.. mujhe.. mujhe thora nervous feel ho raha hai

Karan (smiled): Tum.. tum uski chinta matt lo.. mai hu naa tumhare saath.. and.. and if you don't mind.. kya.. kya mai tumhara haath pakad sakta hu

Preeta nodes slightly.. Karan smiled widely and held her hand

Karan: Abb chalte hai neeche.. aur nervous bilkul matt hona

He smiles at her.. Preeta too smiles and both left downstairs with hand in hand
