All were settled in the dining table for the dinner

Rakhi: Shruti.. yeh naa.. bohot buri baat hai.. tune kaha tha.. ki aaj hume apne mangetar se milwayegi.. aur abb jab humne etni taiyariya kar li.. tu bol rahi hai.. ki woh nahi aayega

Shruti: Aunty.. actually woh ekk doctor hai.. aur usee aaj ekk important surgery karni thi.. isliye nahi aa paaya woh

Karan: Doctor hoke bhi.. usne tujhse shaadi karna ka faisla kiya? I mean.. usee toh pata hoga naa.. ki sehet ke liye.. kya accha hai.. aur kya bura? (chuckles)

Shruti: Doctor toh Preeta bhi hai.. aur usne bhi tujhse shaadi kar ke galti hi ki hai

Karan glared her

Kritka: Waise bhabhi kaha hai?

Rakhi: Woh kitchen mai hai.. dinner laane gayi hai.. maina kaha ki mai kar lungi..  par woh meri sunti hi kaha hai..

Karan: Mai uski madad kar ka aata hu

Sameer (teasingly): Bhai.. pakka madad hi karne jaa rahe hai naa

Karan: Abhi jyaada bakwas ki naa.. toh tujhe doctor ki madad ki jarurat pad jayegi

Saying this he glared her and stood up.. he stood up and left from to kitchen

Shruti: Kehna toh nahi chahiye... Preeta bohot lucky hai.. Karan loves her so much

Mahesh: Lucky mera beta jyaada hai.. usee Preeta jaisi biwi mili

Rakhi (smiled): Yeh toh hai

Kareena rolled her eyes

Shruti: Woh dono hi lucky hai.. bass (pouts) mai hi unlucky hu.. mere hone waale pati ko meri kadar hi nahi hai.. etni acchi wife mil rahi hai usee

'Is that so baby'

All turned to see a boy standing at the entrance

Shruti and all stood up seeing the boy

Shruti smiled widely and went towards him

Rakhi: Shruti.. yeh wahi hai kya?

Shruti: Ji haa.. (smiled) yehi hai.. mera fiance

She held his hand and took him inside

Rakhi: Par Shruti.. tumne toh bola ki aaj inki koi surgery hai

Shruti: Aisa maine nahi.. isne kaha tha.. (glared him)

The boy (chuckles): Actually.. I wanted to surprise you.. so kaisa laga mera surprise

Shruti (rolled her eyes): Bohot bekar..

The boy: Tum mujhse baad mai ladna.. pehle mujhe sabse introduce toh karwao

Shruti: Ohh yeah..

(Skipping the part.. Shruti introduced everyone to the boy)

Preeta was arranging the dinner in the dining table when someone back hugged her

She flinched but soon recognised the touch.. she turned her head and looked at Karan who was smiling at her

Preeta: Kya kar rahe ho? Chhodo mujhe

Karan: Ku.. tum uncomfortable feel kar rahi ho kya?

Preeta: Nahi.. par mujhe kaam karna hai.. hato yaha se

Karan (pouts): Nahi.. (hugs her more tightly) tum apna kaam karo naa

Preeta: Tum..

She stopped listening some noises

Preeta (confused): Yeh awaze?

Karan: Lagta hai Shruti ka fiance aa gaya.. let's see.. kaun hai woh ladka.. jo apni puri zindagi barbad karne waala hai

Preeta (glared him): Karan.. galat baat.. aisa nahi bolte.. chalo bahar

She held his hand and went outside the kitchen.. Karan smiled looking at their hands

The boy: Shruti.. tumhara dost hai ? Woh Mr. Cricketer? Jiski baate tum humesa karti rehti thi?

Shruti: Karan.. woh aata hi hoga.. Preeta ki help karne gaya hai

The boy (confused): Preeta?

Shruti: Haa.. Karan ki wife.. she is so beautiful.. you know

The boy: Mai..

'Ahaan'

Ahaan looked at Preeta who came out of the kitchen with Karan

Ahaan (smiled): Preeta?

Preeta smiled widely.. she rushed to him and hugged him

All looked at them being confused while Karan fists his hands narrowing his eyes

Karan (in mind): What the actual hell? Yeh ladka hai kaun?

He glared at him.. he went towards him and departed both of them.. he stood in between

Ahaan: Karan Luthra right?

Karan nodes sternly

Karan: Can I know.. that who are you?

Shruti: Karan.. yahi hai mera finance

Preeta: What? Ahaan hai tumhara finance?

Shruti: Haa.. but tum dono ekk dusre ko kaise jaante ho

Karan: Even I want to know the same (glared Ahaan)

Ahaan and Preeta looked at each other and smiled

Ahaan: Woh actually hum dono ne same college se hi apni studies complete ki hai.. and we both are best friends

Karan: And your best friend is my wife

Preeta looked at him

Ahaan: Yes I know that.. Shruti ne bataya abhi.. and you know what.. you are very lucky.. college ke time.. Preeta ko college ka harr ladka pasand karta tha.. she was the topper of our college

Preeta smiled slightly

Shruti: Haa.. par Preeta badi unlucky hai.. Preeta ki shaadi iss gadhe se jo hui hai

Preeta chuckles.. Karan glared at her and then Shruti.. Karan then looked at Ahaan and smirked

Karan: Waise.. baat toh tune sahi kahi.. lucky toh mai hu.. ku ki Preeta meri wife hai.. she is mine only

He looks at Preeta with a smile.. she looked down shyly

Rakhi: Accha.. baate toh hoti rahengi.. chaliye.. sab pehle dinner kar lete hai

Preeta: Haa.. aap sab baithiye.. mai dinner lekar aati hu

Saying this she went to the kitchen.. Karan was about to follow her but Shruti stopped him

Shruti: Karan.. Preeta aa hi rahi.. kabhi toh usee akela chhod de

Karan glared at her.. she chuckles

Shruti (in mind): Yeh Karan.. pakka jealous ho raha hai.. shakal dekh kar hi pata lag raha hai.. abb toh mai iske aur maze lutungi

Preeta came to the dining table with the dinner

She was about to serve everyone but Karan interrupted

Karan: Babydoll.. mai help karu?

Preeta (smiled): Nahi.. nahi.. mai kar lungi

Saying this she served the dinner to everyone and after that she too sat beside Karan and served herself too

Ahaan: Khaane ki khusboo toh bohot acchi aa rahi hai.. tu kabse accha khaana bana ne lag gayi.. tujhe toh khaana bana naa nahi aata tha naa

Kareena: Abhi bhi kaha aata hai.. bhabhi ne madad ki hai uski

Ahaan looked at her

Karan: Just ignore her.. budhape mai sathiya gayi hai woh

The youngsters burst out laughing.. Kareena glared at them all

Shruti (smirked): Ahaan.. tum apne aur Preeta ke.. kuch college ke kisse sunao naa

Sameer: Haa haa.. ku Karan bhai?

Karan: Tera kissa khatam kar dunga mai.. chup chap khaana kha.. useless kahi kaa

Sameer gulped and continued his dinner.. Karan looked at Preeta

Karan: Preeta.. tumne mushroom ku nahi liya.. pasand nahi kya?

Ahaan: Nahi.. woh actually usee alergy hai mushroom se

Karan looked at him and then at Preeta who nodes

Shruti: Haww.. tujhe Preeta ke baare mai etna bhi nahi pata.. kaisa pati hai tu.. tujhse better toh mera Ahaan hai

Karan just smiled fakely.. he then looked down at his plate

Preeta looked at him and sighs knowing he felt bad

Preeta: Kisne kaha ki Karan mujhe acche se nahi jaanta hai.. aur humari shaadi ko time hi ketna hua hai.. ki isee mere baare mai sab pata hoga.. maine isee aaj tak bataya hi nahi.. toh isme isko kya galti

She looked at Karan and smiles

Preeta (smiling softly): Karan toh mujhe etne acche se jaanta hai.. jetne acche se mai isee nahi jaanti.. mai bohot lucky hu.. ki mujhe Karan jaisa husband mila

Karan smiled listening to her.. all were admiring them except one

Rakhi and Mahesh looked at them with smile

Rakhi (in mind): Bhagwan kare.. mere dono bacche aise hi humesa khush rahe.. kisi ki nazar naa lage inhe

----

After dinner everyone were sitting on the couch and were chit chatting

Karan was standing at a distance.. he looked at Ahaan and Preeta who were laughing and talking

Karan (in mind): Hadd hai.. jabse yeh bandar aaya hai.. babydoll toh mujhe bhuli gayi hai.. aur yeh jaa bhi nahi raha hai

Ahaan: Accha.. abb mai chalta hu.. bohot raat ho gayi hai

Saying this he stood up followed by everyone

Karan smiled widely listening to him

Rakhi: Theek hai beta.. par tum naa.. aate rehna.. isee apna hi ghar samajhna

Karan (in mind): Ku mom.. ghar mai bandaro ki kami hai kya? Jo aap isee bhi aane ko bol rahi hai.. sab mere pyaar ke dushman hai

Shruti: Haa.. haa Ahaan.. aate jaate rehna

Ahaan (in mind): Iske dimag mai pakka koi khurafati chal rahi hai

He looked at her who winked at him and hugged him

Shruti (whispers): Karan naa.. tumhe aur Preeta ko saath dekh kar jealous ho raha hai.. aur usee aise dekh kar mujhe bohot maja aa raha hai

Ahaan broke the hug and shook his head at her antics

He then moved towards Preeta and hugged her too

Karan frowns

Karan (in mind): Yeh kuch jyaada hi chaipak raha hai meri babydoll se

Ahaan (breaking the hug): Byee.. kal hospital mai milte hai

Preeta (confused): Hospital?

Ahaan: Haa.. maine tere hi hospital mai join kar liya hai

Karan widens his eyes and acts to hit his head in the wall

Preeta (happily): Wow.. yeh toh bohot acchi baat hai

Ahaan: I know.. agar tu kahe.. toh mai tujhe kal lene aa jau? Mai isi raaste se jaunga

Shruti: Haa haa.. ku nahi

Karan glared at him and left from there angrily

Preeta: Nahi.. tujhe aane ki koi jarurat nahi hai.. Karan mujhe chhodne jaata hai roj.. mai usii ke saath jaungi

Ahaan: Okk.. as you say.. byee everyone

He waved at everyone and left from there

Preeta looked around for Karan

Preeta: Yeh Karan room mai chala gaya kya? Jaake dekhti hu

Saying this she left from there

Preeran's Room

Preeta entered inside the room and looked at Karan who was sitting at the edge of the bed

She being confused went towards him.. she kept her hand on his shoulder

Karan looked at her and then looked away

Preeta looked at him being confused.. she sat beside him

Preeta: Kya ho gaya Karan?

Karan keeps looking away.. Preeta sighs and made him looked at her

Preeta: Look at me.. aur bolo.. kya hua hai? Aise muh ku fulaye rakha hai.. (pouts) abb maine kya kar diya

Karan: Tum jao naa.. apne uss best friend ke pass.. tabse usii se baat kar rahi thi naa

Preeta: Tum.. (realised something) tum.. tum jealous ho rahe ho kya?

Karan: Nahi.. (looks away)

Preeta (smiles naughtily): Aww.. tum jealous hote hue ketne cute lagte ho.. jealous Luthra

Karan: Mai jealous nahi tha.. kaha naa

Preeta: Tum jealous the.. tum

Karan pulled her closer interrupting her

Karan (huskly): Haa.. chalo maan liya ki tha mai jealous.. aur mujhe jealous hone ka pura haq bhi hai.. biwi ho tum meri.. (smirks) and if you remember tum bhi toh jealous hoti thi naa.. yaa mai kahu hoti ho naa.. Shruti se jealous

Preeta: Nahi.. (looks away) mai kabhi jealous nahi hui

Karan (huffs): Tum toh accept karne se rahi.. so leave it.. (pouts) waise.. tum kal uske saath jaogi kya hospital

Preeta (chuckles): Tumne suna nahi naa.. maine usee mana kar diya tha.. mai tumhare saath hi jaungi

Karan (sighs in relief): Mujhe laga ki kal se tum uss chomu ke saath jaogi

Preeta: Heyy.. chomu nahi bolo.. mere friend ko.. he is quite handsome..you know

Karan (mimics her): He is quite handsome.. badi tareef kar rahi ho uski.. meri toh aaj tak nahi ki

Preeta: Ohh God Karan.. abb tum bhi naa.. abb so jao.. bohot raat ho gayi hai

She freed herself from him and went to her side of the bed.. she lays there

Karan frowns and he too crawls to his side and lay there

Next Day

Karan came out of the washroom in just a towel wrapped around his waist

He stood in front of the mirror and gazes at himself

Karan: Hayee.. ketna handsome hu mai.. yeh mirror ketna lucky hai naa.. The Karan Luthra ko roj niharne ka mauka mil jaata hai isee

'Karan'

Preeta said and entered inside the room.. she wide her eyes seeing him standing just in a towel

She blinked her eyes looking at his well built body.. she gulps and tilts her head looking at him lostly

Karan turned feeling her presence and looked at her who was looking at him lostly

He smirked and went towards her.. he snaps her fingers in front of her making her come back to senses

Preeta realised what she was doing.. she immediately looked away

Preeta (stammering): I.. I am sorry.. mujhe.. mujhe nahi pata tha.. tum.. tum aise.. mai.. mai baad mai aati hu

She turned to go but Karan held her and pulled her closer through waist with a jerk

Her hands were in chest.. shiver ran down Karan's spine feeling her touch.. Preeta looked at him nervously

Preeta (nervously): Ka.. Karan.. chhodo.. chhodo mujhe

Karan: Aree tum mujhe dekh rahi thi naa.. toh abb saamne se aur acche se dekho

Preeta: Mai.. mai kaha dekh rahi thi.. mai nahi dekh rahi thi tumne

Karan: Chal jhoothi.. tum mujhe taad rahi thi.. you were drooling over me

Preeta: Na.. nahi.. ai.. aisa kuch nahi hai.. tum..

Karan kept his finger in her lips stopping her from saying further

Karan (huskly): Shh..

He caressed her face and rubs his face with her's.. Preeta close her eyes feeling him

Karan cupped her face.. Preeta looked at him nervously.. Karan leans towards her

Preeta moved back being nervous and closed her eyes

Karan smiled at her innocence and kissed her forehead.. Preeta opened her eyes and looked at him

Karan (softly): Maine kaha tha naa.. ki tumhari permission ke bina kabhi tumhe haath nahi lagaunga

Preeta smiled at him.. she hugged him.. Karan hugged her back smilingly

'Bhaiya bhabhi'

Kritka cama their and wide her eyes

Preeran broke the hug and looked at her.. Kritka smiled nervously

Kritka: I am so sorry.. mai toh bhabhi ko bulane aayi thi.. (teasingly) par I think aap dono busy hai.. mai baad mai aagi hu

Saying this she left from there.. Preeta glared at Karan and left behind Kritika

Karan: Yaar abb maine kya kiya?
