Shruti: Preeta are you mad.. mere aankho mai kachra chala gaya tha.. Karan bass wahi nikal raha tha.. Karan tumhe kabhi cheat karne k baare mai socch bhi nahi sakta

Preeta looked at her being shocked.. she looked at Karan who was looking at her with disappointment and hurt in his eyes

She again looked at Shruti and gaining some courage she said

Preeta: Tum.. tum sacch..

Shruti (interrupted): Mai sacch bol rahi hu Preeta.. aur mai khud engaged hu.. (shows her engagement ring) yeh dekho

Preeta again looked at her being shocked

She gaze at Karan and moved towards him

Preeta (whispers): Ka.. Karan.. I..

She was about to touch him but he moved back showing his palm.. his eyes were filled with slight tears which were clearly showing that he was hurt

Karan (hurtfully): Kuch kehne ki jarurat nahi hai.. tumhe jo kehna tha.. tumne keh diya.. abb kuch nahi sunn naa hai mujhe

Saying this he left from there..  Preeta looked at him tearfully and immediately ran behind him

Preeran's Room

Preeta looked at Karan who was sitting on bed numb.. she moved towards him and kept her hand on his shoulder

Karan looked at her and jerks off his hand.. he stood up

Preeta: Karan.. please.. please meri baat suno.. mai..

Karan: Kya suno.. haa ? Tumne mere upar etna bada ilzam lagane se pehle ekk baar bhi nahi socha (looked at her tearfully) tum aisa soch bhi kaise sakti ho Preeta? Ki mai kisi aur k saath....

Preeta (tearfully): Karan.. woh.. woh tum dono ko aise close dekh kar mujhe laga.. ki.. ki tum dono (looked down)

Karan: Toh ekk baar puch toh sakti thi naa? Etna bada ilzam laga diya bina kuch soche samjhe (pulled her closer through shoulders) maine tumse kaha tha naa.. ki jabse humari shaadi hui hai.. maine kisi ladki ko aankh tak utha kar nahi dekha hai.. meri life mai agar koi ladki hai.. toh woh bass tum ho.. tum mere baare mai aisa socch bhi kaise sakti ho (pushed her away)

Preeta: I.. I am sorry Karan.. please.. please mai..

Karan (sternly): Please Preeta.. mujhe tumse koi baat nahi karni.. mai tumhare upar gussa nahi karna chahta hu

Preeta looked at him and felt more guilty

She hurted him but still he is thinking about her

Preeta: Karan.. please.. please ekk baar meri baat sunn lo.. I.. I am really sorry.. please.. please mujhe maaf kar do mai..

Karan: Accha.. agar mai tumhare upar aisa ilzam lagata.. toh kya tum mujhe maaf kar deti (Preeta looked down) nahi karti naa.. toh mujhse kaise expect kar sakti ho?

Preeta looked up at him and hugged him.. Karan was about to hug her back but stopped himself

Preeta (tearfully): I.. I am sorry.. I.. I know maine tumhe hurt kiya hai.. par uss time.. tumhe aur Shruti ko etna close dekh kar.. pata nahi mujhe kya ho gaya tha

Karan frees himself from her grip and moves back a little.. Preeta looked at him tearfully

Karan: Preeta.. please.. abhi mujhe koi baat nahi karni hai.. mai.. mai guest room mai jaa raha hu.. I think.. aaj mai tumse thoda dur hi rahu toh accha hai

Preeta nodes in no 

Preeta: Karan..

Before she could complete Karan left from there.. she fall on knees and broke into tears

Preeta (tearfully): Yeh.. yeh kya kar diya maine.. Ka.. Karan ko ketna hurt kar diya.. mai.. woh.. woh mere saath ketna accha behave karta hai.. aur mai humesa usee hurt karte rehti hu.. sab.. sab kuch accha chal raha tha.. par maine sab kharab kar diya.. (gazes at her hand) maine.. maine haath bhi utha diya uspe.. how could I (cries)

Karan's side

Karan was sitting leaning to the headrest of bed.. his eyes were closed

Preeta's each and every word were ringing in his ears

The way she blamed him.. the way she slapped him without even knowing the truth

mujhe laga tha.. ki tum bohot acche ho.. par nahi.. tum.. tum bhi baaki ladko ki tarah hi ho..

Tears fell from his eyes remembering her harsh words

How could she thought so low of him.. if there is any girl on his mind and heart.. she is only Preeta

No one could ever take her place in his life.. why can't she understand it

He was trying to make this relationship work.. he was trying his best to make her smile.. to keep her happy always but it seems she doesn't cares

She never cared for him or his feelings.. he thought that after sometime she will fall for him too.. but now it seems impossible

Because trust is the most important thing in love and a relationship but she don't trusts him

Karan: Tum mere baare mai aisa socch bhi kaise sakti ho Preeta.. I love you so much.. humesa tumhe special feel karwane ki koshish karta hu.. tumhari ekk smile k liye.. kuch bhi karne ko taiyyar rehta hu.. aur.. aur tum.. tum mujhpe trust tak nahi kar sakti

A knock landed in the door gaining his attention.. he being confused went to open the door

As he opened the door he saw Preeta there.. his expression became stern looking at her

Karan: Tum.. dekho Preeta.. mai tumse kuch baat nahi karna chahta hu.. aaj toh bilkul nahi.. agar aaj maine tumse baat ki.. toh mujhe darr hai.. ki I may hurt you and I don't want that.. so please leave

Preeta looked at him with tear filled eyes

Preeta: Tum.. tum mujhse naraz ho.. phir bhi mere baare socch rahe ho

Karan looked at her hurtfully

Karan: Because I care for you genuinely.. abb please jao yaha se.. mai.. mai phir keh raha hu.. mai tumpe gussa nahi karna.. I don't want to hurt you.. aur please.. stop crying in front of me..

Preeta: Karan.. mai maanti hu.. tum bohot hurt ho.. mujhe kuch bhi sochne se pehle tumse puchna chahiye tha.. par.. par uss moment pata nahi kya ho gaya.. mai..

Karan: Preeta please.. mujhe koi excuse nahi chahiye.. and now I am requesting you.. please leave me alone.. please

Before Preeta could say anything he closed the door.. Preeta gazes at the closed door tearfully

Preeta: I.. am sorry Ka.. Karan.. maine sab bigada hai naa.. toh sab theek bhi karungi.. I promise

Inside the room

Karan tearfully kept his head on the door

Karan: Tumhare saath aise behave kar k.. tumse jyaada khud ko takleef de raha hu.. tumhare aansu bardasht nahi hote.. but.. aaj tumne mujhe bohot hurt kiya hai Preeta.. tumne mere pyaar par.. meri loyalty pe shak kiya hai.. I am sorry but.. I.. I can't forgive you

Next Day

Preeta was getting ready.. she was lost in thoughts of last night

Preeta (in mind): Mujhe jo karna pade.. mai karungi.. mai Karan ko khud se naraz nahi dekh sakti.. mai

She came back to senses when she looked at Karan entering the room

She smiled seeing him.. she went towards him to say something but ignoring her taking his clothes from the cupboard he went to washroom

Preeta's smile fades.. she sighs sadly

Preeta: Karan toh mujhe dekh bhi nahi raha hai.. bohot hurt kiya hai maine usee.. kya.. kya karu mai

'Mai madad kar sakti hu'

Preeta turned and looked at Shruti

Preeta: Shruti.. tum.. (went towards her) I am sorry.. kal.. maine jo bhi kaha.. jo bhi kiya.. woh sab galat tha.. mujhe aisa nahi karna chahiye tha.. I am sorry

Shruti: Look mai aisa toh nahi kahungi.. ki mujhe bura nahi laga.. I did felt bad (Preeta looked down) but I know.. ki tumne apne husband ko uss time kisi aur k etne close dekh kar.. kaise feel kiya hoga.. agar tumhare jagah mai rehti.. aur Karan k jagah mera fiance rehta.. toh mai bhi sayad waisa react karti

Preeta (smiled slightly): Tum sahi mai bohot acchi ho Shruti.. koi aur hota.. toh sayad mujhe bohot sunata.. par ekk min (realised) tumne kya kaha.. fiance? Tumhari shaadi hone waali hai

Shruti (smiled): Yes I am engaged.. and you know what.. mera hone waala husband bhi ekk doctor hai.. kal bataya toh thaa tumhe.. woh naa.. aree mai tumhe uske baare mai baad mai bataungi.. pehle toh hume tumhare husband ko manao mission mai kaam karna hai

Preeta (confused): Husband manao mission?

Shruti: Haa.. tumhare husband ko mana naa.. kisi mission se kam nahi hai.. so usse pehle.. kya hum bhi friends bann sakte hai

Preeta smiles and nodes.. Shruti smiled back widely

Shruti: Accha.. toh suno.. (the conservation was muted)

Preeta looked at her smiling widely.. she hugged her excitedly

Karan came out of the washroom and wide his eyes seeing them

Karan (in mind): What the hell? Yeh ho kya raha hai.. yeh dono toh.. kabhi sautan.. kabhi saheli jaisa behave kar rahi hai.. dono ka dimag toh theek hai naa

He clears his throat gaining their attention.. both looked at him

Shruti (to Preeta): Aa.. Preeta Mai chalti hu.. byee

Preeta nodes and she left from there.. she turned towards Karan who looked away from her

She looked at him sadly and she too went downstairs

All were having breakfast while chit chatting

Karan came downstairs and sat in his place.. Preeta was about to sit beside him but he stood up

All looked at him

Rakhi: Kya ho gaya Karan puttar.. nasta nahi karna?

Karan: Nahi mom.. mera mood nahi hai

Rakhi: Aree aise kaise mann nahi hai.. Preeta ne aaj tere liye.. tera favourite breakfast banaya hai.. thoda toh khaa le

Karan looked at Preeta.. she looked at him hopefully.. Karan again shifts his gaze to Rakhi

Karan: No mom.. phir bhi mera mann nahi hai

Kareena: Accha hai.. Karan beta.. tum naa fruits khaa lo.. waise bhi pata nahi.. kaisa breakfast banaya hoga iss middle class ladki ne

Karan (sternly): Bua.. she is Preeta Karan Luthra.. The Karan Luthra ki wife.. aur The Karan Luthra ki wife ko.. aap middle class kaise bula sakti hai.. roj bolta hu.. aaj bhi bol raha hu.. agar breakfast karna hai.. toh shanti se kariye.. warna jaiye

Kareena felt insulted and left from there.. she thought someone will call her back but no one did

Preeta looked at Karan with a slight smile

Preeta (in mind): Chahe ketne bhi naraz ho tum mujhse.. par mere khilaaf ekk shabd nahi sunn sakta

Rakhi: Karan puttar tu sahi mai kuch nahi khayega

Karan: No mom.. mai jaa raha hu.. mujhe late ho raha hai

He was about to go but Preeta stopped him

Preeta: Karan (Karan stopped but didn't turned) mujhe bhi hospital jaana hai.. tum..

Karan: Mai nahi leke jaa paunga.. I am already getting late (to Sameer) Sammy.. (Sameer looked at him) Preeta ko hospital chhod dena

Sameer: Ji bhai

Karan left from there.. Preeta wipes the tears from the corner of her eyes

Sameer: Bhabhi.. aap bhi breakfast kar lijiye.. phir hum nikalte hai

Preeta (smiled fakely): Nahi.. mera bhi  mann nahi hai

Mahesh: Yeh kya baat hui puttar.. tera bhi mann nahi hai.. Karan ka bhi mann nahi hai.. chal kya raha hai?

Rakhi: Preeta.. jhagda hua hai kya tum dono ka?

Preeta immediately shook her head in no

Preeta: Na.. nahi toh.. aisa ku.. kuch nahi hai.. woh.. woh meri tabiyat thodi theek nahi hai

'Tabiyat theek nahi hai'

Preeta turned to look at Karan who was looking at her worriedly

He immediately rushed towards her and started checking her temparature

Karan: Bukhar toh nahi lag raha hai.. kya.. kya hua hai tumhe.. kahi dard ho raha hai kya? Kya hua hai kuch bol ku nahi rahi ho

Preeta was looking at him shockingly while others smiled

Preeta: Karan.. (Karan looked at her) I am fine mujhe kuch nahi hua hai.. woh.. woh bass kal raat ko soyi nahi acche se.. isliye thoda down feel ho raha hai

Kritka (teasingly): Ohho.. aisa bhi kya kar rahe the.. jo so nahi paaye

Preeran wide their eyes

Shruti (mutters): Jhagda kar rahe the.. romantic nahi.. emotional movie chal rahi thi

Preeta: Ai.. aisa kuch nahi hai

Sameer: Haa haa bhabhi hum samajh gaye.. waise maan naa padega.. bhabhi ne tabiyat kharab ki baat ki hi thi.. aur aap dour kar chale aaye

Karan (looked away): Ai.. aisa ku.. kuch nahi hai.. mai.. mai toh car ki keys lene aaya tha.. (took the keys from the couch) Preeta mai hi chhod deta hu tumhe chalo

Preeta smiled widely and nodes

Sameer: Ku bhai.. bhabhi k bina reh nahi sakte

Karan glared at him making his mouth shut

Karan: Chalo.. bab.. (Preeta looked at him smiling widely) Preeta (Preeta pouts cutely)

He went outside while Preeta followed him pouting sadly

In car

Karan was driving the car while Preeta was continuously looking at him

Karan: Mujhe aise dekhna band karo.. mai tumhe chhodne jaa raha hu.. iska matlab yeh nahi ki maine tumhe maaf kar diya hai (sternly) kal tumne jo kiya hai.. uske liye.. mai tumhe maaf nahi kar sakta

Preeta: Karan..

Before she could complete Karan stopped the car

Karan: Tumhara hospital aa gaya hai

Preeta opened her mouth to say something but stopped knowing he will not listen

She sighed and got down from the car.. as soon as she got down Karan drove away

She looked at car sadly and went inside the hospital

Preeta was waiting for Karan outside the hospital when a car stopped in front of her

She looked at the car being confused as it was not Karan's car

The person came out of the car.. Preeta looked at him and frowned

As the person was none other than useless or we can say Sameer Luthra

Preeta went towards him

Sameer: Bhabhi.. woh Karan bhai ko der ho jayegi.. toh mujhe bheja hai chale?

Preeta nodes making faces.. she sat inside the car.. Sameer to sat inside and drove away from there
