24 - Don't Look At Me Like That.
Things were little tensed after Namjoon and Jin left. Taehyung didn't ask anything about what Kookie and Jin talked. It's not that he didn't want to know, he was just reluctant pressure the other.
Kookie on the other hand was little worried. He doesn't regret the decision he took and he's sure he'll make the same one every time. He just hope that Taehyung agrees with him too. It's his life as much as it's Kookie's.
They went to bed after dinner that night in their own rooms. Taehyung figured that Kookie might be needing some time alone so he didn't ask Kookie to come to his room. It was not something they had actually talked about and now doesn't seem like the correct time too.
But just as Taehyung was about to fall asleep, he heard the door opening and Kookie walked in. Taehyung quickly switched on the bedside light and looked at the other who was fidgeting a bit.
"C-can I?" Kookie asked as he flicked his head towards the bed and Taehyung smiled in return.
"Of course. Come." Taehyung replied and raised a hand in an invitation.
Kookie slowly walked towards the bed and Taehyung moved a bit to the side to make space. Kookie laid down with his back to Taehyung and the latter wrapped a tentative hand around Kookie's waist.
After few seconds, when Taehyung understood that the gesture was welcomed, he gently pulled Kookie towards his chest and spooned him. They stayed like that in silence for few seconds before Kookie spoke up.
"Tae.."
"Hmm..."
"Would you like to know what Jin hyung talked with me today?"
Taehyung thought for few seconds before answering.
"I would. But only if you're ok with it. You don't have to if you are not comfortable."
"It's ok. I want to know what you think about it too."
"Ok."
Kookie told everything that Jin and he talked about, without the cheesy parts ofcourse, and Taehyung listened without interrupting. There was a silence after Kookie finished.
"Do you think he was asking it hypothetically or did Jin hyung had some information about you?" Taehyung finally broke the silence with a question.
"He didn't seem he had any information but I think he had a possible way of having some. Do you think I should have taken the chance?"
"First tell me why you didn't. I'm sure you have a reason."
Kookie gave a loud sigh. This was the part that was hard to explain. Kookie knows what he feels in his heart but he's worried what Taehyung might think.
"I don't know, I can't explain it properly. I didn't want to know who I am, who Chim is, without my memories to guide my decisions. I wouldn't know what happened between us. What if he says some lies, or t-try to manipulate me.. I wouldn't know what to believe."
Kookie sounded so vulnerable and Taehyung felt his heart ache at that. He wrapped his hand even tighter around Kookie and gave a soft kiss to him nape.
"Hmm... given the circumstances, I think you are right too. Either way it's your decision and I'll support you in whatever you choose."
Taehyung gave another kiss to Kookie's neck and then another one. And suddenly, Kookie didn't felt like he cared much about his past, or anything for that matter.
He slowly turned around in Taehyung's hold and sneaked his own arm over Taehyung's neck. He pulled Taehyung towards him a little more and started to kiss him. Taehyung kissed him with an equal passion, making Kookie feel a little hot.
He snuggled more in to Taehyung's hold and one of his hands sneaked inside Taehyung's shirt but he stopped when Taehyung pulled back and chuckled a bit.
"I'm sorry baby, I can give you all the kisses you want but are you expecting this to escalate some more??" Taehyung asked in a gentle voice and Kookie quickly withdrew his hand.
"N-no.. why?" Kookie asked in a shy voice.
He tried to pull back a bit but Taehyung didn't let him. He held Kookie against his chest and gently stroked his hair.
"Aren't you sore from yesterday? And tomorrow is a school day. I don't think it's good idea baby." Taehyung explained softly and after few seconds, Kookie hummed in agreement.
"Are you mad at me?" Taehyung asked in a tentative voice, for which Kookie gave a little laugh.
"Of course not Tae." Kookie said as he gave a soft kiss to Taehyung's hand. "Good night."
"Good night baby."

Taehyung had a free period and he felt like seeing Kookie. He didn't knew whether Kookie had a class or not but you can always look from the art room window. Taehyung was kind of intrigued to see Kookie teaching.
When he went to the art room, he saw that Kookie was alone, clearing out some of the art supplies. Taehyung knocked on the open door and Kookie swiftly turned to look at him.
"Hey." Taehyung said with a smile.
"Hey.." Kookie replied with an equally radiant smile and turned back to continue his work.
"Do you have a class now or..?" Taehyung asked as he walked in and sat on a chair.
"Nope. Just finished one. Next two are free."
"Oh.."
"What about you?"
"Just this one. I thought I might come and see you."
Kookie had finished cleaning and sat on a chair opposite to Taehyung.
"Miss me already?" Kookie asked in a teasing voice as he tilted his head a little to the side.
"What will you do if I say yes?" Taehyung asked in an equally teasing voice.
Kookie didn't answer. He was staring to feel the familiar heat in his face and regretted teasing Taehyung.
"Draw me." Taehyung suddenly said and Kookie looked at him in surprise.
"Right now?" Kookie asked and Taehyung shrugged his shoulders in response.
Kookie gave a nod and went to get the supplies as Taehyung dragged his chair in to a good position. Kookie came back and got ready to draw. He looked at Taehyung and saw that he had a beautiful smile but a piercing gaze.
"So, how do you want me to draw you? Maybe you could look to the side a bit." Kookie mumbled as he felt his face blush under Taehyung's intense gaze.
"No, I want you to draw me like this." Taehyung replied with a smile.
Kookie started to draw but he found it hard to concentrate. Taehyung's stare was too much for him to handle.
"Don't look at me like that." Kookie finally voiced his trouble, as he felt he was being burned by that gaze.
"Like what?" Taehyung asked in a soft voice.
Kookie didn't answer and looked away. It was after few seconds of silence that he spoke up.
"Like you're in love with me." Kookie's voice was barely audible.
His face was blushed to a bright pink and he avoided eye contact with the other. Taehyung looked at him for few seconds before getting up from his seat and walked toward Kookie.
Taehyung knelt down on one knee and took the paint brush out of Kookie's hand put it down. He took Kookie's hands in to his own and waited till Kookie looked at him properly.
"I am, Kookie. I'm in love you." Taehyung whispered in a soft voice.
He waited for few seconds to see a reaction from Kookie but the latter only looked at him with his wide bambi eyes. With each passing second, Taehyung began to get more nervous.
"Is t-that a b-bad thing?" Taehyung finally asked, when he couldn't take the silence and more.
Kookie slowly reached closer and wrapped Taehyung in a tight hug. Taehyung hugged him back in relief and felt Kookie melting in to his chest.
"No." Finally a muffled voice was heard and Taehyung held his breath. "Cause I'm in love with you too."
