Illness!?!?
Yosafire's POV
The wind blew through my lime green hair with a sway as I made another flower crown. Sighing deeply, I placed the now done flower crown on the stack of crowns that I have made so far. Nothing has been quite the same since the flame world invaded our world. Slowly but surely my friends started to ignore me and even leave me alone from time to time. Even Dialo and Chelan didn't invite me to have apple pie with them. I miss the sweet flavor of the apple pies Dialo made. Picking up the next heap of flowers I slowly weaved the steams into the form of a crown. Thinking more and more, Ms. Grief and Mr. Lowrie haven't even been noticing me in class and haven't been scolding me for not bringing my homework into them.
Lady Etihw and Old Man barely talk to me personally and Ms. Grora barely hangs around. Mr. Wodahs I am unsure about him since he's always busy taking care of BlancBlack Castle. Finishing off the flower crown, I threw it off to the side and looked down at my dirty hands. Smudge with dirt and blood, blood was when I picked up roses as they pricked my fingers. Looking to the sky, I counted the clouds that passed through the clear blue sky. Looking to the heap of flower crowns, I picked up one full of red roses and started ripping the crown apart. I felt the warm burning tears as I ripped the crown to the point it was just petals and green steams laying all around me.
Taking another flower crown and started ripping that as well. Why do I have this much pent up anger and where is it coming from. Am I finally going crazy? Maybe that Airhead Devil was right, everything is a lie in this world. Grabbing another one I threw it to the other side of the field and stomped on the heap of crowns and plopped to my knees and ripped the other flower crowns in anger as I saw the skies darken. A storm is on its way and I had no one to stay with. Thunder scared me, usually Froze was there to keep me company. But now she won't even talk to me. Standing up once more I looked towards the cliff and saw the dark clouds forming on the horizon. Taking the germinis into my hand as I looked at the navy pink petals and held it close to me. This'll stay with me cause its the only flower that I won't destroy.
Placing it in my sweater pocket I looked to the sky and noticed the wind. Better walk than fly today. Walking slowly to the village, passing the tree with the giant sword tangled within the overgrown branches. Sighing as I looked up at the tree before I heard the pattering of footsteps coming towards me. Looking around I saw Froze, Rawberry, and Macarona. Smiling I took a step forward, but they just ran past me towards the flower fields and completely flat out ignored me. I stood there shocked and completely useless. Tears streamed down my face once more as I hung my head and headed towards my little hut. Maybe I should go to the castle after the storm passes to see if I am any use there.
Screams and shouts could be heard from the village, walking into the village as I saw everyone run into their homes and bunkered down for the worst. Sighing I walked over to my little hut to see stains of egg and graffiti all over the white wood walls and many hateful words written, meant for me. Staring blankly up at the mess on my home, sighing I entered my home and shut all windows and door. Locking the front door and headed towards my bedroom. Laying down on the bed I slowly closed my eyes and relaxed trying to ignore the sounds of the storm. Falling into the unconsciousness and welcoming the cold darkness.

BANG.BANG. Groaning I opened my eyes and looked over towards the window that is above my mirror. Everything was thrown around and my window was shattered. Getting up I slid to the side of the bed and looked over my house to see everything was destroyed, sighing I picked little things on my way off the floor and placed them on the shelves and on the table. Opening the door there I saw Mr. Wodahs standing there with concern in his left eye. "Yosafire, are you alright?" Mr. Wodahs's voice was cracking as he placed his gloved hands on my shoulders and looked at me. "What's going on, Mr. Wodahs?" I asked as he let out a breath of relief. "The girls looked for you two days ago and couldn't find you before the storm hit, but you weren't there," Mr. Wodahs entered my home and looked around.
Two days, I've been sleeping for two days? No wonder why Mr. Wodahs looked so worried and scared. He sighed with contempt as he started cleaning my little house. "Mr. Wodahs, you don't have to clean it for me, I can do it myse-," Mr. Wodahs turned towards me and gave me one of his cold stares. I jumped back and let him clean up the mess that the storm made and dusted himself off and whipped towards me. "What's the matter, Yosafire? You don't seem yourself?" Mr. Wodahs questioned as I walked over to my fridge and stared at the half-eaten apple pie that was made before the invasion happened. It's probably no good anyways, sighing I grabbed my little money pouch and looked into it. Not much money to get a full month worth full of food.
A grumble of my stomach startled me as I looked over to Mr. Wodahs to see him still giving me his signature cold glare. I gave a nervous chuckle as I closed the fridge and hid the handle behind my back. "What's in the fridge, Yosafire?" his voice became cold and I knew he meant business. "N-N-n-Nothing," Damn. I stuttered as he took a step closer to me. "Open the fridge, Yosafire, I want to see," he snarled out as I gave in and moved to the side as Mr. Wodahs opened the fridge and growled out. I gave out a small whimper as he took a step towards me and placed his hands on his hips. "Yosafire, how long have you been without food and had to deal with that expired pie. Tell me now?" Mr. Wodahs stood firm as I tried to curl into the corner and whimpered some more. I slowly wrapped my tail around my right leg.
"Since the invasion and the cleanup," I watched as Mr. Wodahs tensed up and slammed the fridge door and walked over to the cabinets and looked through each one. "Nothing," Mr. Wodahs turned and crossed his arms, "when were you planning to eat, Yosafire?" I shivered underneath his harsh tone as he grabbed ahold of my arm and started to drag me over to the door. "Mr. Wodahs I was gonna go to the apple orchard and get some apples today," I cried as he stopped his track to look back at me. His eyes hard and his lips in a frown, "Yosafire, you've been missing for two days straight, no one knew where you were, yet, when I check up on you, you have no food and lie to me about eating." Whimpering I tried once more to pull away from the strong grip of Mr. Wodahs. "Please, I'm fine I was just tired and fell asleep and didn't feel like getting up, I-," I felt the floor leave my feet.
Yelping in surprise I looked forward as Wodahs held me at arm's length with a cold scowl on his face. "You are boney and your eyes are red and glazed, you are not fine and I'm surprised that you haven't come to the castle asking for any leftovers of my dumplings," his expression relaxed and he pulled me closer, cradling me like a little child, "you are cold, your type of demon should never be this cold, you are ill." He held me close as he reached for the doorknob. My body felt numb and weak as I felt the heat roll off in waves. Closing my eyes I rested my head on Mr. Wodahs's shoulder and fell asleep there.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN? WHY ISN'T SHE EVEN RESPONDING TO ANY OF US?"
Loud screams were the only thing I heard as I felt a warm hand touch my cheek. Cracking my eyes open I saw a concerned Etihw and an angry Old Man. "Kcalb, calm down, she's waking up," Etihw looked back at the Old Man as he looked over at me and frowned. The clicking of his shoes on the marble floor brought me to look to my right to see him sit down on the bed and place a hand on my forehead. "She's so cold, this might be a problem," Old Man grumbled out as he slid his coat off his shoulders and threw it on top of me. "Grora look through the library and see if you can find the journal that Ciel wrote so long ago about illnesses," Etihw looked towards where Grora was, leaned up against a wall near the door. She nodded and left, my body felt so numb as Etihw stood up and walked away.
"Where are you going Eti," Old Man grumbled out as he looked away from me. "I'm going to go see the condition of her house since Wodahs told me it was completely a mess on the inside and outside. I want to see for myself," Etihw sighed as she walked out of the room. Alone. Alone in the room with the Old Man. Looking up I saw the saddened eyes of the Old Man, his black sclera with white eyes stared down on me. "Why?" It was a simple question that I wish wasn't even said. "I feel like I don't even belong anymore," I closed my eyes to rid of his stern eyes, "no one notices me, my friends left me, and no one seems to notice me walking around the town anymore, so I stopped taking care of myself." I want to move now as I opened my eyes and saw his eyes become completely black, a phenomenon that always seemed to amaze everyone, even Etihw.
"What are you saying, Yosafire?" his voice became more of a command, "when did you become like this?" I didn't answer as I turned my head to the opposite side where Etihw was sitting. I could hear shuffling and felt warmth envolved around my body. Looking up I saw the silky coat wrap around me engulfing me in the warmth before I heard the Old Man sigh. "Rest for now and I'll send Wodahs in to check in on you," I heard the soft honey-like tone before the sounds of his shoes clicked against the marble floors once more. Slowly fading in the distance, turning to face the door I saw the tiny crack as light flooded from the outside into this room. Sitting up, I pulled the coat closer to me before looking at the room.
It was a simple set-up; a bed, dresser, chairs, and standardized television set. Sighing I wrapped the coat around me feeling the warmth and the comfort it brought as I climbed out of bed. Walking over to the other door in the room I slowly opened it to see a plain bathroom, which includes; toilet, bathtub, and washroom sink. Closing the door I looked over at the dresser and saw my red framed glasses gently sitting on a blanket, picking them up I placed them on the bridge of my nose and blinked to adjust to the sight through the glasses. Rummaging through the dresser I found my outfit and looked over towards the bathroom. "What are you doing out of bed, Yosafire?" the sudden voice made me jump as I looked behind me. There stood Mr. Wodahs, he held a tray with some food and a cup resting on the palm of his hand.
He set the tray on the table beside the bed and crossed his arms, "you need to rest, no if, an's or but's, you need the rest and the care that will be provided by us." His eyes held such coldness as he walked over to me and stood firmly there still with his arms crossed. "I just want to know where my glasses went and found my clothes as well," I tried to hold a straight face as if nothing was wrong, "besides I need to go home to clean up and fix everything." His eye told me everything. I wasn't allowed to leave this castle unless I was healthy enough to go back to the village. "No," was a simple word that broke the barrier to my tears as Mr. Wodahs picked me up and brought me back over to the bed. Setting me down he reached for the tray and set the tray down on my lap. "Eat up and take the medicine it's all we can do for now until we find another fire demon for you to heal fully from," Mr. Wodahs gave a sad smile as he sat in the chair next to the bed, "if only Yosaflame was here."
That name keeps popping up. Who was this Yosaflame? Why does that name sound almost like mine? So many questions swarmed my mind, looking over to Mr. Wodahs, I took a bite of the sweet pancakes and french toast. "Mr. Wodahs, who is Yosaflame?" I watched him tense up and look over at me. "Yosaflame is your ancestor, he was brothers right-hand man and the head demon when he was alive, he fought Froze's ancestor, Sherbet," Mr. Wodahs hesitated as if afraid to recall the memory of this 'Yosaflame', "in the end they killed each other because they were equally matched and well, they left without a single goodbye, that's why brother and Etihw are so worried about your behavior. You're distancing yourself just like how Yosaflame used to do, please, don't cause them another heart-ache." Wodahs slumped in the chair and gently touched the eyepatch above his right eye.
"It's already bad enough that I refuse to heal this eye that causes them such sorrowful pain," he sat up straight and pulled off the eyepatch. I gasped as I saw the scared tissue of his right eye. Black surrounded the eye as he slowly opened the eye socket, nothing but a white eyeball. I felt like hurling but nothing came out. "This is a pain that can never be forgotten, never forgiven, this is why I try to keep those two in complete harmony. If they fall out of line then more pain like this," he pointed to his eye, "will happen and frankly I don't want that, do you understand, Yosafire?" I nodded my head as Mr. Wodahs placed the eyepatch back over his right eye and gave a small smile. Standing up he patted my head and left out of the room. Looking at the tray once more I carefully ate the rest of the food.
Picking the cup up I tilted it to my lips and felt the warm tea sooth down my throat. The honey flavor made up for the vile smell of the tea, gulping down the tea I set it back down on the tray and set it on the bedside table and looked back over to the window and saw the dark clouds come from the horizon. Another storm? What's going on? Sighing I got off the bed and pulled the coat tighter around me as it still held the Old Man's warmth and took a look outside. Outside Ms. Grora was scolding a group that was trying to enter the castle as Mr. Wodahs walked outside. The group looked up towards the window and apparently saw me, they were my friends. Why are they doing here? Stepping away from the window I went back over to the bed and climbed into the sheets and laid my head down.
Closing my eyes I felt my body become numb again as I heard the door creak open. "Yosafire, sweetie, are you alright?" the honey nectared voice called into the room. Etihw was here. Opening my eyes I looked towards the door and saw the silhouette of Etihw enter the room. Sitting up nodding my head as I rubbed my eyes. There was no sound as Etihw walked up to the bed and sat on the edge. She placed a hand on my forehead and hummed a sad tune, "still so cold..... I think we need to call someone from another world to see what's going on with you." She gave a small smile as she grabbed the discarded coat and dusted in off. "I believe we might have something that will be warmer but we would have to look through the storage to be able to find it," Etihw sighed as she pulled the covers more onto me and laid the coat over the blankets.
"Sleep for now Yosafire, Wodahs will be in here when it's time for dinner," Etihw gave another small smile and walked out of the room. Laying back down I closed my eyes and forced myself to go to sleep.

"Oh come on, Kcalb, buddy just a little demon like that can't be that sick?" a male's voice that I didn't recognize rang throughout the hallways. Opening my eyes I saw the door open and there stood the old man and another male. With curved purple horns and a goofy smile plastered all over his face. "So is this the little one that you were talking about, buddy?" the male gave off a vibe that made me shiver. "Yes, but Etihw and I think that it might be something serious since she is a fire demon but she is cold as ice," Old Man grumbled out as he tugged the coat closer to his mouth. He has more than one coat, then. "Well that is quite troublesome indeed friend, have your God tried to get in contact with the Sun God cause I think that the Sun God would be able to help her better than I can," the male chuckled as he picked up my glasses and examined them, "but I understand that we all know I create roses of many......some are poisonous and then some can heal. You, my dear friend, wants the one that heals and doesn't want to resort to finding a fire demon and giving her away, eh?"
I heard the Old Man growl as the male walked closer to me. The clicking of his shoes told me he was coming towards the bed. "You know that my prices are cheap and want to keep your little fire demon a secret to the other worlds. Considering what happened to your last fire demon, eh?" the man looked back at the Old man as he gave another growl. "Name the price already and stop stalling," the Old Man gave another growl as he closed the door. "Simple as it can be, friend, come to the next devil's meeting and bring the fire demon with you so that way I can see the results of my flowers, is it a deal?" the man's voice got dark as the Old Man nodded his head in defeat, "very well then here." The man handed the old man a red rose with purple tips as the man smiled and faced towards me, "can't wait to see you again, my dear, get well soon." The man left as the Old Man stood there with a scowl on his face.
"Old Man, who was that?" I asked quietly as the Old Man looked down at me and sighed. "A Devil from another world that is known for their flowers either being a poison or a cure. He helped me once with your ancestor when he became ill and I had nothing to help him," the Old Man sighed as he sat on the edge of the bed and held the rose up, "but it was the only other option than sending you away. And probably never get you back." The Old Man sighed and crushed up the rose and growled, black magic surrounded his hand as it soon disappeared and a tiny powder substance laid in his hand. Wodahs soon came inside the room holding a tray with food and a cup of tea. "Oh, Brother, there you are, Etihw is looking for you," Wodahs set the tray down and looked over at the window. The Old Man stood up and brushed past Wodahs and looked down at the food. He grabbed the napkin and placed the powder on the napkin, "I see well take care of Yosafire, she needs a little more help tonight since it is bath night for all the little ones. I can trust you to make sure she has the proper temperature for her."
Wodahs nodded his head as he walked over to the adjacent room, the bathroom, the sound of water sounded as the tub was being filled. "Yosafire," I looked over to the Old Man and saw his eyes lowered, "Wodahs will help you to bath and eat tonight cause you seem under the weather and I wish no harm to come to yourself as you do your routine bedtime schedule." I nodded my head as the Old Man walked out of the room and I reached for the tray. "Be careful," I jumped at the sound of Mr. Wodahs's voice as he walked out of the bathroom. He discarded his trench coat and rolled up his sleeves and took off his white gloves. Taking slow bites I enjoyed the enriched flavors and drank the tea and carefully setting the teacup back on the tray. "Mr. Wodahs?" I hesitantly asked as I picked the napkin up and pretended to wipe my face. The powder tasted sweet as it went down my throat.
"Are you done, Yosafire?" Mr. Wodahs asked as he grabbed a few things from the dresser. I nodded my head and attempted to get out of bed but Mr. Wodahs picked me up and sighed. "I wouldn't attempt to stand while taking the medicine that we've been giving you," he simply stated as he held me close and walked to the bathroom, "besides its easier if you just relax and let the medicine work its magic." Wodahs sighed and opened the room to the steaming bathroom, slowly he set me down and placed the things he had grabbed on the sink. He didn't move far as before grabbing my hat and setting it on top of the pile. I wondered where that silly hat went off too. "Alright, Yosafire, ready to take a bath?" Mr. Wodahs asked gently as he moved back to me and motioned me to raise my hands.
Nodding my head slowly I raised my hands in the air as Wodahs grabbed the hem of the nightgown I wore and pulled it over me. He paused to let me take off my underwear and gently picked me up and set me down in the tub full of nice hot water. The warmth overwhelms me as Wodahs dumped water onto my head. Sighing in relief I somewhat fell asleep when I suddenly hear the concerned voice of Mr. Wodahs, "Yosafire?" Opening my eyes I saw Mr. Wodahs standing right in front of me holding a towel. "I know that it's warm and comforting in there but I fear that you would drown if you fell asleep in the tub," he pointed out as he reached under my armpits and picked me up out of the steaming hot water. Wrapping a towel around me he gently dried me off and dressed me in a fresh clean nightgown.
Sighing he patted my head and picked me up once more and brought me into the room and moved the covers away to only place me there. "There you go, now it's time for bed and I'll see you in the morning like it was today," Mr. Wodahs sighed as he grabbed the tray and left through the door. Laying down on the bed I slowly drifted off to sleep.
