A Lion?

Yosafire's POV

A soft humming noise woke me up as I slowly opened my eyes. Looking around the room, everything was white. Groaning, I looked to my left to spot a silhouette dancing around the room. Wearing nothing but white as a cape was swaying with each movement. Long raven black hair hung loosely almost down to the floor. Six white diamonds adored their head and seemed to float to the side of the crown of their head. This must be the wartime Etihw, she seems so different, without the old man by her side. Sitting up I looked closer at her dancing and noticed the dress was longer than the height she stood at, the sleeves had a second layering to them as I watched her twirl around to only see her eyes closed.

She looked so peaceful as she slowly opened her eyes, "aw, you are awake." The soft tone sounded forced as she walked over to me. She lightly placed a hand underneath my chin and lifted my face to meet the dull dark gray eyes of her's. "You look so similar to Yosaflame, tell me what is your name?" she cooed as she touched the top of my head almost near my broken horn. Finding my voice, I raspy answered her question, "Y-Yosafire." I watch her eyes as they showed nothing as her lips quirked up into a small grin before disappearing into a frown, "almost the same but somehow different. Tell me, where are you from?" I gulped, if I told the full truth I might give away what happens in the future. I have to think of something, quick. "I come from a different world, I was thrown into a vortex and ended up here," it was somewhat true as she just stared into my eyes.

She let go of my chin and walked away. Sighing I watched as she left the room and shut the door behind her. Chancing it, I stretched my wings but felt no pain. Is it possible she healed me, looking around once more I saw my hat sitting on the nightstand? Wait. So that means she saw my broken horn. Grabbing the hat, I placed it back over the broken horn and got off the bed. I need to find a way back to my time and hopefully, I don't mess with anything in the past. Other than me falling out of the sky, that is. Heading towards the door, trying the doorknob to find it open. Eh? Was she planning on me leaving? It doesn't matter at the moment as I opened the door and stared into an empty hallway. No one is around, good. Going right I walked down the corridor to find nothing but paintings and portraits of many.

I think I'm lost now. Sighing I turned back to only bump into something or someone. Looking up I met face to face with the 'Sherbet' guy from before. His dull blue eyes stared down at me, "well what do we have here, did someone wander off out of their room." His voice was chilling as I saw the small puff of frost exited with every word. Ice. Exactly what Froze was capable of, is this her ancestor then. Yet, I still haven't even met mine, but I managed to run into her's. "Sherbet get back to patrolling, I'll deal with her," looking behind 'Sherbet' I saw Wodahs standing there with arms crossed. This wasn't the Wodahs that I knew but this the past Wodahs. 'Sherbet' walked away, with arms crossed and a scowl on his face, he wasn't really thrilled. "Why did you leave your room?" his stare was menacing as he shifted his weight to the other side.

"I was trying to find my way back home," that was an honest answer as he just kept staring. I shifted underneath his stare and looked down. "I miss my home and I want to return," I reminded myself out loud. I closed my eyes and remember when I last saw the present Wodahs screaming for me, trying to fly towards me, but was stopped by some kind of barrier. "I see," I opened my eyes and saw the past Wodahs down on one knee and looking at me with soft eyes now, "you are homesick, aren't you little one?" I nodded my head as he gently patted my head and pulled me closer. Hugging me. This feels like the Wodahs that I know that will try to take care of those he cares deeply about. "Is there a Devil nearby?" I asked stupidly knowing the answer.

I feel the energy pulse and try and call for me. I looked up at the past Wodahs and saw his face turn to horror. He picked me up and ran to a room that I didn't know about since I have been only here for a day. He pulled me closer to his chest and swore underneath his breath. Can he feel it as well? Well, he is the younger brother of the Old Man. "What's going on?" I played dumb as I felt him shift his hold on me. "Shh... stay down," he stopped in front of a door and set me down behind a pillar, "stay here and don't move, you got me?" I nodded as he threw a ragged curtain onto my hiding spot and ran in the other direction. I wrapped the curtain tightly around me as the nagging pull pulled at my senses once again. Groaning I held my head and tried to fight the pull of a energy I felt like it was familiar.

Was this the calming aura that I always felt around the Old Man, but this seems different. Full of hate and dread. Pain and suffering, he's hurting, I need to see the Old Man. Whimpering I stood up as the curtain fell to the floor. Where is this energy coming from? Maybe I can find the Old Man by following the energy? "Whoa, who are you?" I looked to my left and saw a tall figure standing there. Black short horns, firey-red hair shaggy and lose, and dark dull maroon eyes stared back at me. Those eyes, they remind me of Dialo. Could this be Dialo's ancestor? He stood tall and held a sword at his side. Dark clothing filled my vision as he came closer to me, kneeling down he looked me over.

"Why do you look so much like the General? Did they kidnap you from anywhere?" his tone was soft like he didn't want to scare me, "Or did they create you to take advantage of our Lord's softness for children?" I raised an eyebrow at this. The Old Man had a soft spot for children. No wonder why he fought till he was barely breathing. He wanted to protect all of us from the airheaded devil of the flame world. "No matter," he stood up and held out his hand, "I'll take you with me to camp to check you out." I hesitantly reached for his hand but was stopped when pillars of ice surrounded me. Yelping I looked over to my left and saw 'Sherbet' standing there giant hammer raised. Ain't that Froze's hammer, so he is Froze's ancestor. Then that means that this man in front of me is Dialo's ancestor. "What are you angel's doing with a little demon girl?" the man growled as he aimed the sword at Sherbet.

"Simple, keeping her away from you?" Sherbet walked over to me and pulled me behind him, "knowing you and your lord who knows what you might do to the little girl?" The man growled and barked back, "same goes for you angels." I looked between the two of them as the man braced for an attack. Sherbet had the same idea as he raised the hammer higher, "so where is your fearless General, Lost?" Lost? That's his name? That's a strange name to have, but then again everyone seems to have strange names. "Mind your own business, angel, release the girl and I'll leave you alone," Lost growled as he aimed the sword higher. Sherbet chuckled and picked me up before slamming the hammer into the ground, ice pillars formed and Lost slashed at them one at a time.

"Coward," Lost yelled as I felt Sherbet tighten his grip on me and jumped from pillar to pillar. "I thought Head Angel told you to stay hidden, now they will know that you are here," I heard the gruffness in his voice as he avoided the attacks Lost advanced. Sherbet slammed his hammer down on the ground once more as a wall of ice formed and blocked Lost's tracks. I could hear Lost growl once more before hacking away at the ice. Sherbet sighed as he tightened his grip once more and ran the other way. Gasping I felt the sharp turn he made into a random room. "Dang, they somehow found a weak point in our defenses. There has to be a traitor among us," Sherbet set me down and ran a gloved hand through his messy blond hair, "Lady Etihw is not gonna like the news."

He looked over at me and unwrapped his scarf around his neck. He kneeled down and wrapped it around my neck and sighed, "this ain't good. If they are here then their General is nearby, along with the devil. We need to hide you and avoid any contact with both of them." I looked over at the door as I heard running footsteps. "Why are you trying to protect me from my own kind," I asked as the footsteps ran in the other direction. "Well, Lady Etihw said to keep you hidden and I'm just following orders," Sherbet stood to his full height and looked over to the door, "judging by the sounds outside, the general and the devil are already aware of your presence. So bringing you to the head angel or Lady Etihw is the best option at this moment."

He crouched down and opened the door slowly and peeked out the door. "Damn. There's too many, maybe if I freeze them, but if the general is waiting outside then I'm doomed," Sherbet cursed under his breath as he looked back at me then to the bed, "maybe if I hide you in the sheets and throw you to the next angel and tell them to take you to the head angel then it should work." Sherbet ran over to the bed and grabbed the sheets and pulled them from the bed and ran back over to me. He unwrapped the scarf and then pulled the sheets over me and picked me up in one swoop. Yelping, he ducked my head and slammed the door into someone's face and ran down the halls. "AFTER THAT ANGEL," I could hear yelling as Sherbet gripped me tighter and turned a sharp corner. Looking behind and past the soft white feathery wings, I saw at least three other demons chasing after us.

Closing my eyes I felt the pulse deep down and I wanted to follow it. The Old Man was in so much pain. His despair was everywhere in my mind. Whimpering I felt the whole world fall sideways as I opened my eyes to see Sherbet's face close to mine and blood dripping down his face. "Are you alright?" he asked as he opened his dull blue eyes. Nodding my head, Sherbet sat up and held his head, "damn. That fall could've been worse if I hadn't aimed for the bushes." Sherbet wiped the blood off his face and sighed. He stood up and grabbed the hammer that was sticking out of the ground. "This'll become a problem," U heard Sherbet say as he walked over to a corpse that was laying around, "they killed the guards, so that's how they got into the castle." Sherbet looked over at me and sighed once more, walking over with his hammer in hand he kneeled down to my height and set his hammer down. "What's your name, little spitfire since we'll be traveling for awhile?" He asked as he reached out to touch the top of my head. "Yosafire," I stated as his eyes widened then softened once more. "Keh, some name you got there, almost like Yosaflame but yet different," Sherbet chuckled as he touches the hat and frowned, "why is your horn broken, Yosafire?" Did he figure it out already? "When I was little I had a flying accident and there was nothing I could do about not even my devil knew how to fix the damage," I told the truth but didn't say exactly who my devil was or anything else. Sherbet nodded his head and stood up, "I see well better get moving," he looked up to the darkened skies and sighed, "there's a storm a brewing and it doesn't look friendly." Sherbet looked over at the corpse and groaned before picking up his hammer and twirling it around his fingers.

"Best bet is to head towards sector nine and find the runt of the litter to give a report to her and see from there," Sherbet took a step towards me, "do you know how to fight Yosafire?" I nodded my head and touched the cross that was hidden underneath my sweater. Sherbet walked over to the corpse and pulled a sword and a knife from the corpse. He handed me the sword and gently picked me up and started walking. "If I think I'm correct, being a different Yosaflame from a different dimension that means you must be good with a sword right?" he chuckled as he slid the knife into a wall before turning the opposite way.

Did he guess that? Maybe he's smarter than he looks. "Where are we going?" I asked as he held me closer and took off to the skies. "Somewhere I can get information about the invasion to the head angel and Lady Etihw," his voice was drowned out by the wind that rushed past us. Hiding my face in his chest I felt the pull of the Old Man's energy nearby. He's in pain. I want to help him. No. I need to help him. Whimpering I gripped the fabric underneath my fingers and heard a grunt from above my head. " 'Yo Yosafire what's the matter? Everything alright? Are you hurt?" his voice sounded concerned as I felt the wind slow down and become still. "He's coming," I gasped as I opened my eyes and looked over the wings of Sherbet, looking for any signs of the Old Man.

"Wait you can feel the Devil's presence," he moved his hammer as he gave a shaky breathe, "wait if you can feel him, then, shit he's coming." I felt Sherbet's arms tighten around me as his wings spread out then gave a giant gush of wind as he sped through the air. The wind whipped as he panicked and I just only stared behind us. The Old Man's energy is distraught and trying to reach out to me. "How far away is he," I faintly heard Sherbet's voice as he still sped through the sky, "Yosafire, how far away was the Devil?" I blinked as green flames came from the right. Wait. Those are my flames. But I didn't spit any out. I could hear Sherbet curse under his breath as he avoided the flames and landed on the ground with a crash.

He wrapped his wings around me as we rolled on the ground. A pained groan came from him as he sat up. "Are you alright, mister?" I acted stupidly as he gave a weak nod. He isn't alright. He's hurt and there are no angels around to save him. So maybe if I distract my ancestor and the past Old Man than he could get away. Looking towards where the green flames burned I saw a silhouette come from the flames. An intense stare came from this silhouette. "Shit," I heard Sherbet say as the silhouette came into clear view. There stood my ancestor, Yosaflame. His lime green hair cut short in the back as twin sideburns reached the second fold of his suit. Orange-red eyes bore into the core as the red-trimmed glasses rested on the bridge of his nose. A black suit clean and wrinkle-free stood out beside the blood red tie. An impossible long cape wrapped around his figure. Gulping I looked back at Sherbet who was holding his side and grunted. He's badly injured. I need to do something. I have to stop this somehow. They are supposed to die together but not over me. Standing up, I took a shaky step towards Yosaflame but felt a gloved hand grab my wrist.

Looking behind me I saw Sherbet panting and on one knee, "don't do it Yosafire. He may be the same type of demon you are but he's the Demon General and will be able to kill you at first sight." He was worried about me. I slid my wrist out of Sherbet's weak hold as I made my way over and met my ancestor halfway. "Eh, didn't expect for what Lost told me to be true," nectur smooth tone matched the appearance of my ancestor. His eyes held wisdom, I knew that much, calm and collected he stared at me, examining me. Looking into his eyes I studied him as well. I'm surprised that he was not attacking me as Sherbet mentioned. Then again, we look identical so he would rather study it than attack out of the blue.

"So is this the girl, Lost mentioned," that voice. I know that voice. Looking to the side I saw him. I saw the Old Man. Though with a few thousands of years taken off of him. His hair was long and tied back into a long ponytail. Black gloves covered his hands as his attire was different. Instead of the neat compressed suit an tie he wore a military tunic with black diamond buttons and on the sleeves grayish outlines of diamonds, three in a row. His black sclera and white pupils were the only things that remained the same. I could feel the pain rolling off of him in waves. Gulping I looked into the familiar yet so different eyes of the old man. "Yosafire run," I heard the strained voice of Sherbet as I looked back. Sherbet was leaning against his hammer that he stuck in the ground holding his side. "Yosafire?" Yosaflame questioned as he looked down at me, "is that your name?" I nodded slowly and looked back at the old man. He barely budged as I took the slightest step towards his direction. I could heat Sherbet yelling at me to run away, but I didn't want to. I need to comfort the old man. I want the old man that I knew and adored. Yosaflame went to block me but the old man held out a hand. I let my grip on the sword loosen and fall from my hand.

He posed no threat, he's more in pain than a threat. I remember seeing the past and how much the old man was in pain. But to stand here and basically stand in front of the tortured devil I knew something that I did when everything ended with the flame worlds devil made the old man smile and become happy for a little bit. The old man bent to one knee as I approached him. "Is Yosafire your name, little one?" his voice sounded rasped as I stood only a foot away from him. I nodded and he gave a small smile, the smiled seemed to bring a wave of relief but it wasn't enough. My first thought was to give him a hug, biting my lip I swayed back and forth on my feet. "What is the matter, little one?" I looked up at the old man as the tore fur coat swayed in the wind. "Why are you so sad and in pain?" I said without thinking, oh no. I watch as the white pupils grew bigger then somewhat shrink as he calmed down. "Can you really sense it, little one?" Nodding my head, without holding back I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a big hug as I felt his arms wrap around me as well.

He held such warmth as I felt him relax into the hug and pull me closer to him, I could feel the shivers as he snuggled me and let out a sigh. "You little one, are much different and could be considered a treasure to many, I could see why the angels were keeping you under close watch," I heard him mumble as I felt my feet leave the ground. Pulling a little bit away from the hug I saw the ground two feet underneath me as I looked at the side to see Yosaflame standing over Sherbet with sword drawn ready to kill Sherbet any moment. I tapped the cheek of the old man as he looked over at me and gave a small smile. "Please don't attack the angel, he was only trying to do what he was told to do," I gently whispered into his ear as he hummed and patted my back. "Yosaflame spare the angel, we have the little girl that's all that matters. Besides I think the little girl is cold due to the fact of her being the same type of demon such as yourself," I heard the old man chuckle.

I felt the warmth of the old man as he covered me with his torn coat. Yosaflame removed the sword from Sherbet's neck as he looked back at me with concern. My body feels heavy and druggy-like. Wait this is how I felt when I found out I was sick back in the present. My body caved into the warmth that the torn coat held as I closed my eyes and heard the worried cries of everyone as the blackness pulled me into its unknown depths.

3696-word count

Welp, that was that word count and frankly, I am worried. I have been bullied as one of my oldest books that have been on my page was recently attacked and I'm not happy that a book that had over 50 chapters was gone overnight. It had a mature content notification and warnings that it had sexual advances. But anyways since that happened I'm thinking of saving all of my stories on a hard drive so that way it isn't all lost like the book I had that I dearly adored writing for everyone. Well, see everyone in the next chapter, bye.
