Luisa and Mathias watched as Rocket climbed up the tree happily. Luisa smiled at feeling Rocket and her dad's happiness and excitement. This never gets boring to watch, dad, Luisa told Mathias. Exactly, Mathias told Luisa.

The sound of Mathias's cellphone interrupted their happy mood. Mathias quickly answered the call and put it on speaker for Luisa to also hear.

I have a monster that talks, a dryad, and I already called Alaric, Dorian told Mathias. Okay, Me and Luisa will be there as soon as we can, Mathias told Dorain. Alright, I'll see you both soon too, Dorain told Mathias. Dorian ended the call first so Mathias also ended the call.

I can't wait to meet the dryad, I have so many questions already I have, like are they single, Luisa told Mathias. What about your crushes on Hope and Rafael? Mathias questioned Luisa. Hope isn't interested and Rafael's girlfriend just died so you know he's not looking for someone new, Luisa told Mathias.

There's no rush for you to get a girlfriend or boyfriend, you're still young, Mathias told Luisa. I know, still I'm a sucker for romance and I'd like to have that with somebody, Luisa told Mathias.

Luisa sat with Lizzie and Josie among the other students while Dr. Saltzman, Mathias and Mrs. Tig stood together while he had an announcement to make. Luisa had her walls up to block herself from feeling anyone else's emotions.

Given recent events, some students have expressed concern that I am not allowing you to have a say in the decisions that affect you future and I agree, if you are expected to abide by this school's policies, it's only fair that you have a voice in how those rules are made, so I am forming an honor council, and since Luisa has already told me with her being the only empath here, she isn't interested in being apart of the honor council, there will be one vampire, one witch and one werewolf each elected by their peers, along with our school counselor Emma, whose vote will represent the younger students, Alaric announced to the students.

Now, I, Mathias and Luisa have to go off-campus, in the meantime I expect you to make good decisions and to vote wisely, that's all, you're dismissed, Alaric told the students. 

Luisa and all the other students you up to leave. Why are you leaving too? Lizzie and Josie both questioned Luisa. So my empath abilities can be used on this new monster that can speak, a dryad, Luisa answered them. I'll see you both when we get back, Luisa told Lizzie and Josie.

Luisa followed behind Alaric and Mathias to Alaric's car to head to the cabin where Dorain and the dryad were at.

Hi Dr. Saltzman, Dr. Saltzman, Dr. Saltzman, um is there a decision coming about if Landon can stay here, Rafael questioned Alaric. We are running tests on him to figure once and for all if he's supernatural, Alaric answered Rafael. What if the results aren't clear? Rafael questioned Alaric. Well, then I have a decision to make, Alaric answered Rafael.

Well, can the honor council decide? Isn't that the point? You know, that we have, like a say in stuff like this? Rafael questioned Alaric. If it comes to that and we determine he's not a danger, then yes, Alaric answered Rafael. Thanks, you're not gonna regret this, Rafael thanked Alaric. Luisa and Mathias continued walking to Alaric's car and passed by MG. 

I feel bad for MG since now all the vampires here hate him, what Kaleb was doing was dumb and risky with not healing the girls he was feeding on to cover his tracks, Luisa told Mathias. Hopefully Kaleb learns from this, Mathias told Luisa. Yeah, me too, Luisa told Mathias. 

So who's looking after Rocket right now? Luisa questioned Mathias. I left him with Emma, Mathias answered Luisa. Alaric finally reached the car after his conversation with MG was over. Alaric opened the door only for it to slam back shut. Alaric, Luisa and Mathias looked and saw it was Hope who made the door close with a spell. Are you kidding me? Hope questioned Alaric. 

Am I under assault today? Alaric questioned Hope. You three get to interrogate a tree nymph and I have to run Landon's 23andme, Hope said. First of all, it's a dryad, not a nymph, second of all, I need a witch to run the testing spells, Alaric told Hope. Get Emma to do it, Hope told Alaric.

She can supervise but she's busy managing the school in my, I'm sure, unbearable absence and looking after Rocket at the same time, plus if Landon can convince you that he belongs, he can convince anybody, Alaric told Hope. I am, Alaric told Hope. Mm, Hope said. I left you instructions in my office, try not to kill him, Alaric told Hope. 

Alaric opened the door and started the car so Mathias got in the front seat while Luisa got in the back seat. Luisa was feeling eager to meet this dryad and to find out on what's been written about dryad's are true or not and to hopefully eventually have a romantic relationship.

Luisa stared in awe at the dryad and at her beauty. The dryad continued to look out the window and Luisa felt her curiosity and sadness and romantic love for someone. 

Hi, I'm Luisa Iglesias, what's you're name and how old are you? Do you have someone that you're in a romantic relationship with? Luisa questioned the dryad. 

We figured out the pattern, the monsters come one at a time, I already had to kill a crazy wraith thing just to find one of you who could communicate about why you want this knife so bad, so it's time to talk, Dorian told the dryad. 

Why would I talk to evil creatures who kill? the dryad questioned Dorain. Instantly Luisa could feel the dryad's anger since she was focused on her emotions. Uh, anything yet? Alaric questioned Luisa, Dorian and Mathias. Just some light judgement, Dorian answered Alaric. You're a dryad, right? Alaric questioned the dryad. 

Living spirit of a tree, uh, it says here that, uh, dryad's were gentle creatures who loved among humans, well we're not your enemy, we're just looking for answeres, Alaric told her. Humans are known to lie, the dryad told Alaric. So are monsters, Dorian told the dryad. 

There is a man I cherish names Oliver, if you bring him to me, I will believe that you are trustworthy or what passes for it among your species, only then will I answer your questions, the dryad told them. Woah, we're not negotiating, right, Ric? Dorian questioned Alaric.

Uh...what should we tell this Oliver? Alaric questioned the dryad. The dryad walked closer to Alaric and used both her hand to pull the necklace off her neck and handed to to him. Show him this ring, it belonged to him, he will come with you, I will give no further answeres until he does, The dryad told them.

Luisa was happy the dryad was telling the truth. What if we don't take the deal? Dorian questioned the Dryad.  Tree's are patient, humans are not, the dryad told them as she sat down on the chair. She's being honest, Luisa told Alaric, Dorain and Mathias.

The dryad looked out the window again and began to wait patiently for Olivier to arrive. Luisa was curious of who this Oliver was and if was still even alive or long dead by and if was supernatural or not now since she had no idea how long this dryad was trapped in where ever she was in.

What magic have you employed to search for my Oliver? The dryad questioned Alaric and Luisa. It's a new spell called Google, Alaric answered the dryad. You're mocking me, The dryad told Alaric. Yeah, but just a little bit, Alaric told the dryad.

Will you open the window? The dryad questioned Alaric. I would like to feel the breeze, The dryad told Alaric. Until I know the full extent of your power I'd rather not, Alaric answered the dryad.

You do not need to fear that I will deceive you, unlike humans, dryad's do not lie, we choose not to harm, The dryad told Alaric. Well in the human world sometimes telling the truth can do more harm than good, Alaric told the dryad. So who's this Oliver that Dorain and Mathias went to go find? Alaric questioned the dryad. 

Oliver never lied, he was not like the other men who would come into the forest to chop down trees so that their houses could be bigger than other houses, he played music, he would lean against the trees and feel happiness, we fell in love, The dryad answered Alaric.

You should know he might not be around anymore, it's been a while since those days you remember, Alaric told the dryad. Oliver made a great sacrifice, he became a vampire so we might be together forever, we decided to meet in a clearing, where we cell in love so we could run away but circumstance got in the way, I feel your pain, you've also lost a great love, The dryad told Alaric.

A psychic tree, check, Alaric said. Is your humor helpful in avoiding your pain? The dryad questioned Alaric. Not really, no, Alaric answered the dryad. You carry more than one loss, The dryad told Alaric. 

Several, including the mother of my children, but there's happiness there too, I can see it in their smiles, in their laughter, I still see her sometimes, Alaric told the dryad. So you can feel people's emotions like I can? Luisa questioned the dryad. Yes, what are you? The dryad questioned Luisa. I'm an empath, Luisa answered the dryad.

The door opened and Dorain and Mathias both walked in. Good news, bad news, our pal Bonnie did a wish thing on the ring, some sort of combo summoning spell and astral projection so, Dorian told them. 

The man Oliver then walked in. Can someone please tell me what's going on here? Oliver questioned everyone. Luisa could easily tell the confusion and curiosity she was feeling was coming from Oliver and the happiness she felt was coming from the dryad. 

The dryad got up to face Oliver. Oliver, the dryad happily said. I'm sorry, do I know you? Oliver questioned the dryad. Luisa felt the wave of sadness that Oliver had no memory of the dryad which she knew how the dryad was feeling. I'm guessing that's the bad news, Alaric said. 

Yeah, Dorian agreed. This is very sad, Luisa told Mathias. It really is, Mathias agreed with Luisa.

Luisa and the others watched as Oliver looked at the ring on the necklace. There was so many In that Grove, do you not remember any of us? The dryad questioned Oliver. 

She knew you, she knows your name, that you're a vampire, Alaric told Oliver. I am not sure what is going on here but we have never met before, Oliver told the dryad. Oliver stood up off the chair and the dryad also got off her chair.

In the forest there was a clearing next to the river, the bed would blossom with diaffodils every spring, the dryad told Oliver. Yeah, I walked there everyday, that's where I proposed to my wife, Oliver told the dryad. 

Instantly Luisa, Alaric, Mathias and Dorain felt sorry for the dryad and Luisa could feel the dryad's sadness and heartbreak. 

Your married, The dryad said. Yeah, Oliver said. Why did you ask me about that clearing? Oliver questioned the dryad. Tears welled up in the dryad's eyes at the information. I'm sorry, the dryad apologized to Oliver. 

Tears also welled up in Luisa'a eyes which she wiped away with the sleeve of her shirt and Luisa wanted to comfort the dryad and help her with her sadness.

 I made a mistake, I thought you were someone else, the dryad told Oliver.

Hours later night came after Oliver left and the dryad stayed sitting on the chair, not saying a word just looking out the window. A few candles we lit to light up the cabin a bit. Luisa stood near the dryad and only absorbed some of her sadness.

Alaric came back into the cabin and closed the door behind him. Dorian got off the chair and walked up to Alaric. It's been hours, she's not gonna tell us anything, Dorain told Alaric. Alaric opened up the window which blew out the candle near it and the wind also blew inside. 

That feels nice, The dryad told them. Thank you Alaric, the dryad thanked Alaric. Well from somebody who has lost exactly what you lost today, I'm sorry, Alaric told the dryad. 

I will honor our deal, what do you wish to know? The dryad questioned Alaric. Alaric, Dorian, Luisa and Mathias each shared a look with each other before questioning her.

The night I was to leave with Oliver, something attacked me and I woke up in a endless darkness, I could feel the presence of others but not see or hear them, I was there for so long and then just as suddenly I found myself not far from here with an urge to possess that knife, The dryad told them. 

Why? What is this? Alaric questioned the dryad as he held the knife while Dorain was writing. I do not know, only that I must have it, it's like something something present inside me is telling me to take it, The dryad answered Alaric. Take it where, Dorian questioned the dryad. 

There is a dark pit beneath the earth locked away, I can see it, I can feel it, I'm meant to take the knife there, if I do I will find peace and finally be free, The dryad answered Dorain as she drew a symbol. And who told you to do this? Alaric questioned the dryad.

 A voice in my mind, it is still there, I tried to fight it but I'm not strong enough, The dryad answered Alaric. I'm sorry, I have no choice, The dryad apologized. Watch out! Alaric warned the others.

The dryad shot out a vine and attacked Dorain. Alaric reached for a weapon and the dryad shot put a second vine to stop him. Dorian the knife! Alaric said. The. Dryad had a third vine reaching for the knife on the table.

Mathias got Luisa out of harm's way and stood in front of Luisa ready to protect her from being harmed or worse.

Dorian grabbed a cross bow and aimed a shot at the dryad, hitting her chest. Luisa and Alaric made their way to the dryad after she had fallen to the floor.

Take me to the daffodils, take me home, take me please, The dryad please with them. Luisa helped keep the dryad sitting upright. Luisa knew it was only a matter of time before the dryad died and how she should be granted her dying wishes before it was too late.

The headlights of the vehicle lit up the small area for Luisa, Dorian and the dryad for when they had to bury her.

Watch your head, Dorain told the dryad as he lay the her on the grass. Luisa held the dryad's hand to provide comfort for her in her final moments of living. I was wrong about you, Dorian, you kept your word, not all humans lie, The dryad told Dorain. 

It's okay, I wish more monsters were like you, Dorian told the dryad. I really wish you got to have your happy ending with Oliver, you deserve to live a happy life, Luisa told the dryad. 

I remembered something else, that black pit, powerful place, it is called Malivore, The dryad told them. Malivore, Dorain said. Thank you, Dorian thanked the dryad. I'm sorry this happened, Dorian apologied to the dryad. 

You deserved better, Luisa told the dryad. Luisa and Dorain saw the dryad take her final breath and no longer blink her eyes. Luisa closed the dryad's eyes then Dorain covered her now dead body with the green blanket. 

Luisa and Dorain both got up and each trapped their own shovel to begin digging a hole to bury the dryad until they saw and heard the vines from the dryad come out. Luisa and Dorain watched as the vines grew and soon turned into a large beautiful tree. 

Luisa cried happy tears as she felt the dryad had been reborn as this tree and she knew once the tree eventually died of old age the dryad would find peace in the afterlife. Luisa let go of the shovel since she no longer needed to dig a hole to bury the dryad anymore.

A/N: I'm just curious, does anyone know the name of the tree the dryad turns into? I really wish the dryad wasn't killed off since I really liked her character. I'm eager to write this slow burn and I have it planned out so I'll be posting whenever I can. Also once the Legacies series is over, I plan on writing a fanfic for the dryad with a supernatural female OC, so what do you think would be a good name to name the dryad or which website could I find names to name a dryad?
