Louise ran into Thea on campus. Thea offered Louise a lemon shortbread cookie.
Louise looked over at Logan, who was buying Rory a coffee.
"I slept with him after we went to the Alligator Lounge," Louise told Thea.
"I could've gone my entire life not knowing that," Thea replied.
Louise clearly didn't care, "He wants something more casual."
"And you?" asked Thea.
"I want more," Louise replied, eyeing Logan and Rory.
"Sucks for you," Thea replied.
"Oh, I know how to play the game," Louise replied, with a smirk. "I will get what I want. And I want him."
"Good luck," Thea replied, watching as Rory walked off and went to kiss Anthony, who just walked up. Apparently, she had to prove to him that she was into him and not Logan.
"I never would've thought that sweet little Rory would've gone after a former addict who had been in jail," Louise replied. "And someone older than her."
"He's not that old," Thea said. "He'll be twenty-eight soon."
"Still. I wouldn't have believed it, even if she went back in time and told us," Louise replied.
"And she still went after him, after knowing his past," Thea replied. She turned to leave but spotted Craig. "Oh, there's Craig."
Louise looked over and nodded appreciatively, "Ooh, he's hot."
"Yeah," Thea said, and realized what she agreed to. "He doesn't date. As far as I know, he's not into relationships."
"Oh," Louise replied.
"I'll see what he wants," Thea told Louise.
Louise waved Thea off before going to Logan.
Thea went over to Craig. "Hey."
Craig smiled at her, "Hey. My mom had something to do, and we thought we'd stop by to see how you're doing, but that group of guys over there got her attention. So..."
Thea looked over at the group of guys who was talking to Cynthia. "Okay."
"Yeah," Craig replied. Sage and Aiden were walking up to them. "You got any new recipes?"
"Yeah, these lemon shortbread cookies," Thea replied, holding the case out.
Logan and Finn came up to them. Logan spoke to Craig, "Hey, I'll be careful around this one. She just might add you to her collection."
Craig looked at Logan, "Oh, I hope so. If not, that would make our relationship real awkward."
Thea nodded, playing along, "Yup. It really would." She glanced at Sage and Aiden, who both just nodded. But she knew what they really were nodding for. She looked at Craig and kissed him – on the lips.
Craig cracked up.
Finn got an extremely dark on his face, leaving Thea confused, because why would he react over her kissing some guy.
Cynthia finally came up to them. "Hey, Craig, that nice group of twenty-three-year-olds gave me their phone numbers. They think I go to school here."
"You brought your sister with you?" asked Logan, looking at Craig confused, before looking at Cynthia.
"I am his mother," Cynthia replied, grinning.
Thea looked at Aiden and Sage, knowing what was coming.
"Wow," Logan replied, looking at Cynthia. "You look very young."
Cynthia smiled, tilting her head slightly to the side, "Thanks. I had him when I was ten."
Logan and Finn both choked on air.
Thea put one arm around Craig's shoulders, "This is my friend Craig. Craig, that's Finn and Logan." Finn kept looking between Thea and Craig, who had his arm around Thea's waist. "He helped me win a 24-hour dance marathon."
Craig grimaced, "Don't remind me. I still have nightmares from the runaround."
"I still have nightmares from watching you both on that runaround," Todd said.
"You weren't even there, Todd," Sage pointed out.
"I was there," Todd defended himself, "In spirit."
"Hey, Cynthia!" a man called. Thea looked to see that it was that group of guys waving Cynthia over. They had big smiles on their faces.
"I'll be over there," Cynthia said, heading to the group.
"Try not to fuck any of them in a restroom stall," Craig called to her.
"Try not to help any murderers on your way through campus," Cynthia called back.
Todd asked Craig, "You're never letting them live that down, are you?"
"Not a chance in hell," Craig replied. "Same reason they're not letting me live down the whole 'aiding and abetting a murderer' thing."
Thea looked at Finn, who was staring at her and Craig, "You want something, Finn?"
Finn looked like he was going to say something but shook his head, "No."
"I'll give you 'til the end of spring break to figure out what you actually want," Thea told Finn.
Lorelai bailed out of a Friday Night Dinner because she had to do a thing with Sookie, and she agreed to start the laundry for Rory.
So, when Rory got done in Hartford, she found Lorelai and Sookie in Weston's.
Sookie ended up falling asleep and Lorelai asked, "When did you start wearing matching lingerie?"
"Uh, when Anthony sees me wearing it, he drives me into the mattress," Rory replied.
Lorelai said, "Hey, Rory?"
"What?" asked Rory.
"Do you remember what we have said about indoor voices?" asked Lorelai.
"What are you talking about? I am using my indoor voice, Mother," Rory replied.
Lorelai paused and said, "Maybe we should talk about 'no voices'."
"You asked," Rory countered.
"You didn't have to tell me that part," Lorelai replied.
"You asked," Rory repeated.
Elowen came over to the table, "I'm sorry, but if you're going to fight, I suggest you both take it out back and settle it like normal people."
"Elowen, this is a bakery," Ethan chimed up. "Tell them to take to a Wendy's parking lot, the way God intended."
Elowen looked at Sookie, "I'll call Sage."
"Don't call Sage," Dave said. "Call Jackson."
Elowen paused, "Good idea."
Lane needed advice from Thea, so they met up at the Stars Hollow Bookstore. Lane came over to where Rory and Thea were sitting. Rory was looking at books but was adding them to a to-read stack.
"Can you even afford those?" asked Lane, looking at the books.
"No, but Anthony can," Rory replied. "He sends me money when I tell him about the books I that I want."
"Speaking of him, have you seen this yet?" asked Lane, showing Rory a tabloid.
On the cover was Zoe, Blake, and Anthony and a headline reading, "Zoe Spotted with Her Younger Brothers on Set of Bombshell Bank Bandits!"
It didn't seem that strange, but what was weird to Thea was that Anthony had removed the blond hair dye and was clean-shaven.
It was weird.
"Yeah, I have," Rory replied, looking at the cover.
They knew that Zoe wanted her brothers to visit her in Atlantia.
"Do you miss him?" asked Lane, sitting on the floor.
"Yeah, I do," Rory replied.
"Do you know why he shaved and washed out the hair dye?" asked Thea, looking at the cover.
Rory glanced around and lowered her voice, "I'm not supposed to talk about it, but okay. The actor that was supposed to play the bank teller had schedule conflicts and picked a different movie, and the understudy that was supposed to take over the part, backed out because his wife went into labor. So, the director ended up asking Anthony if he had an acting experience, which turned out to be a small role in a school play, so he's playing the role of the bank teller turned hostage. It's just a small role."
"Wow," Lane replied, looking surprised.
"And Blake is playing one of the hostages, who only has like two lines and has some reaction shots," Rory added.
"Somehow it turned into a sibling film," Thea muttered.
Rory shrugged, "He didn't want to at first, but Zoe jumped on the opportunity and made him take over the role."
"I can't believe that they all thought you were going to marry Anthony," Lane said. "All because you admired a wedding dress."
"I know," Rory replied. "I seriously considered eloping with him just to spite them. Or at least get married in Vegas by an Elvis impersonator just to spite them."
"Don't do anything out of spite," Thea replied. "Nothing good will come out of it."
"I know," Rory replied. "His family will not be happy if he did that, even if we explained why."
"Speaking of marriage, I told Dave that I have to get married before I had sex," Lane said, laying down on the ground.
"What?" asked Thea, wondering how that conversation came up.
Lane groaned, "I can't believe I blew it."
"Blew what?" asked Thea.
"Well, Dave made food, and we started kissing and I realized that he wanted to have sex with me, and I told him that I had to wait 'til I get married," Lane explained.
Thea was surprised to know that Dave tried, even Rory seemed surprised.
"Wow," Rory replied.
"I can't believe it," Lane said. "I just cannot believe it!"
"You're going to be okay," Thea said.
"Yeah, it's okay," Rory replied.
"How did this happen?" Lane explained, "I started listening to rock music when I was seven years old. I snuck makeup on at school. I managed to join a band without anyone knowing. I have a boyfriend who my mother thought was a Christian guitarist for a while there. And I ate spicy condiments like they were going out of style."
"Oh, Lane," Thea replied, feeling sympathy for her.
"I drank soda, ate hamburgers, wore jewelry, I danced," Lane listed.
"You weren't very good at dancing," Thea replied.
"Hey, any skill level's a sin," Lane said. "And then I moved out and I lived with two guys. I mean, nothing else stuck. Nothing. So why this?"
"It's a mystery," Rory stated.
"Why couldn't the gluten-free thing stick? I could've lived with that. Or the not dancing thing." Lane said, "Oh, you should've seen Dave's face. It was like—"
"You told him that you were waiting for marriage?" asked Thea.
"Yes," Lane replied. "Exactly. God, this blows!"
"A lot of people wait until they're married to have sex," Rory pointed out.
"Yes," Lane said. "Jessica Simpson and Donna from 90210," Lane said.
"Loads of others too," Thea added.
"Oh my god," Lane said. "What if I never get married?"
"You'll get married," Rory said.
"If I never get married, then I'll never have sex," Lane stated.
"Lane, you'll get married. Some guy will be lucky to have you," Thea reassured her.
"And you'll have sex," Rory added.
"That's easy for you both to say," Lane said. "Thea, you have sex with two different guys." She paused, "Presumably at the same time."
"Yes, Lane, at the same time," Thea replied dryly.
"And Rory, you slept with Anthony two months after dating him," Lane added. "I mean, you called me and told me that you slept with him after the football game."
Thea was surprised and looked at Rory, "You told Lane first?"
"So?" replied Rory. She looked at Lane, "And you're making us sound a little slutty."
"Well, why shouldn't you both be slutty?" Lane said, "You have absolutely no mother-taught morals standing in the way of you and your sluttiness."
"Thanks, Lane," Thea replied.
"Is it great?" asked Lane.
Rory asked, "Is what great?"
"Sex!" Lane said, "Is it great?"
"Not in front of the books, Lane," Rory replied.
"What am I saying? It's great," Lane said. "And I will never experience it because by the time I'm ready to get married, all the men will have been taken by women who didn't grow up in my household." She grabbed her coat.
"Going out to find a husband?" joked Rory.
"I have to get extra trash bags for the diner," Lane replied, standing up.
"Hey, Dave's been with you for two years," Thea said. "He's not going to dump you over something as stupid as getting blue-balled."
Lane nodded, "I know." She looked at Rory's shirt. "Can I borrow your shirtsometime?"
"Sure," Rory replied.
Lane took off.
After spring break was over, Anthony asked, "Has Jessie, Ethan, and Luke become a triad yet? I'm kind of expecting them to become one because they consider themselves the parents to you guys."
"Luke seems like he's junior high homophobic, so he will not have Ethan in the bedroom with him and Jessie," Sage said.
"Junior high homophobic?" asked Thea confused.
"He seems like the type of guy that would go to the movies but leave an empty seat in the middle just to avoid looking like a gay couple but is completely unaware that they look like a gay couple that had just gotten into an argument," Sage explained.
"Can you please not talk about my dad's sex life?" Aiden said, "He really doesn't want to get in a relationship considering my mom and all."
"But Jessie seems so sweet," Georgia added. "I'm sure she's not a pedophile."
"This is my dad and his girlfriend you're all talking about," Liberty added. "And he will not look at another man's dick."
"He'll get used to it eventually," Sage replied. "I had to quickly get used to seeing Aiden naked after like the third time."
"Why are we discussing this?" asked Rory.
"You're not even discussing it," Georgia pointed out.
"Fine, Luke is a grumpy softie and Aiden's dad is, well, he's not exactly a sunshine-y guy, more like moonlight and I think they would make a weird, but cute couple," Rory replied.
Logan swung by, "What are we talking about?"
"How my dad and Libby's dad would make a cute couple," Aiden deadpanned.
"With my dad's girlfriend thrown in the middle for bonus points," Liberty added.
"Yeah, I'm out," Logan replied, walking away.
They started laughing.
