Rescue

The portal took Geno to a path that led to a mansion, in the middle of a dark cave.

He could hear gravel crunching underneath his slippers, as he walked. He needed to get out of this cave... He needed to find Reaper.... And to do that, he needed the help of those living in this mansion, they must know how to get out of the cave....

He could see that the glitches had returned, over his melted eyesocket, and even if the wound across his chest couldn't kill him, he knew that it would remain open, and he would be bleeding from it.... It wouldn't kill him, but it wouldn't stay closed, when it was healed.

He walked up to the door, and he knocked on it.

------

Papyrus opened the door. He was hoping that it was his Sister, but instead, he found a wounded Skeleton, but he wasn't dying...

"Invite him in!" Fire hissed.

Papyrus jumped, and he looked around. He knew that voice... That was the voice that played with his Sister.

Geno frowned. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Papyrus was about to answer, when Gaster showed up.

"Geno! We've been waiting for you! Come in!" The God of Magic invited Geno into their home. He was excited... He was finally here! The answers to their prayers!

"Huh.. can Gaster even hear me?" Fire muttered, it was always a toss up with a Gaster.

Geno looked at Papyrus, and he entered the mansion, to follow the Gaster. This Gaster was different from his Gaster, and he had met the Papyrus... Where was the Sans?

He got his answer when Gaster lead him into a living room, and he pulled out a photo album. "Would you like to hear stories about my children?"

"Dad!" The Papyrus yelled.

"Grim!" The Gaster yelled.

Geno laughed, this was hilarious.

"This isn't the time for this Dad! Reaper's missing!" Grim yelled.

Geno froze... This was Reaper's family?!

He looked at them.

And he coughed.

"Can I ask a question?" He asked them, and they nodded their heads.

"Why is your Toriel a fucking bitch, and why does she hate Reaps?"

They froze, and they looked at Geno.

"Life was given orders not to leave her garden..." Gaster growled.

"Yeah tough, she danced off like a crazy, kidnapped Reaper, and then, she wondered off again, leaving Reaps trapped." Fire muttered.

Everyone heard Fire.

"LIFE DID WHAT?!" Gaster, and Grim, yelled.

Geno winced. "And I saw her kidnap Reaps..."

"Wow, Fate must be really out of it if Gaster can hear me..." Fire mused.

Gaster growled. "Life must have taken my daughter to her garden... Come with us Geno."

Geno nodded his head, as Gaster opened a portal, and they walked through it, together.

The portal took them to a grand palace, and Gaster quickly walked to an huge circular hall.

Geno could see that the large bench that followed the wall of the hall, was broken up by the doors that they had just come through, and a throne, with a desk in front of it.

And the hall was packed, there was a lot of voices, and yelling, and arguing, and the Asgore on the throne just looked done with everything...

No one had noticed Gaster, and Grim, when they entered, with Geno, apart from the Asgore, and when he saw Geno... There was this spark of hope, in his eyes.

Geno frowned, he was getting annoyed by the yelling, and the screaming. He was having a very long day, he had found a way to bring his Genocidal cycle to an end, he had to adjust to living outside of his Save Screen, the Monsters had been freed from the Underground, and an insane Toriel had broken Reaps's legs, and kidnapped her....

"WOULD ALL OF YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP?!" He yelled, as the glitches over his melted eye socket flickered.

Fire held up a 10/10 sign.. sadly, she was still invisible.

Everyone stopped yelling, and screaming, when they heard Geno, and he took a deep breath.

"Word..." Fire grinned.

He let it go, and he looked at them. "I don't know what you're yelling about, and why you're yelling, but right now, you have a serious problem with your Toriel."

Asgore sighed. "What has my Ex wife done now...."

"Ex wife?" Geno had a confused look on his face.

"They're divorced." Gaster told him, and Geno nodded his head. "Well, Asgore, your Ex wife just kidnapped Reaps!"

Everyone was frozen.... Life had kidnapped the Floofy Death?!

"Dat silence." Fresh said, stealing popcorn from Fire, and then, leaving, just as quickly as he had arrived.

Fire didn't even question how he did it. After all, it was Fresh.

And then, a wave of anger erupted, and everyone started to yell, again...

Gaster sighed. "We'll have to go to Life's Garden, without them. They'll follow us when they've calmed down."

Fire snorted, that would... take a while.

"Better hurry." She said.

Geno nodded his head, and they entered another portal. This one took them to the borders of Life's Garden, but when Gaster, and Grim, tried to enter it, they were thrown back, by a Barrier.

But Geno wasn't.

The Barrier didn't work on him...

"I'll go and find Reaps." He told them. He didn't know why the Barrier wasn't working on him, but he was mortal, and alive...

That might be the reason why he could walk through the Barrier.

Fire shrugged and she followed him, the barrier ignored her as she wasn't fully phased into existence.

Geno started to walk through Life's garden, with his hands, in the pockets of his hoodie. This was a nice place, but it was a shame that it was owned by someone with a rotten Soul.

He kept a careful eye on the garden around him, he didn't want to miss anything important...

"I'm glad that Reaps has a good friend like you." Fire whispered.

"Who's there?" Geno summoned one of his Blasters.

"You may call me Fire, Reaper is my friend." Fire replied.

"Reaps is your friend?"

"For a very long time, you could say for more than one life.." Fire mused.

"For more than one life?" Geno frowned, as he continued to walk.

He stopped walking, when he heard something crunching under his slippers, and he looked down to see dry, and dead, grass....

"Do you really think Souls come from nowhere, just because they are someone new doesn't mean that I wouldn't make friends with them again." Fire explained.

Geno was listening, but he didn't answer, he knelt down, to look at the dry, and dead grass. It was a sharp contrast to the life around him.

"Life is broken, Corrupted. You could call them a fallen goddess now, and truthfully, they are nameless, and as a fallen goddess, they are no longer Life." Fire whispered looking at the dead plant life.

"And eventually, they are replaced..." Geno whispered, as he looked at the trail of dead plant life. "But this looks like someone, or something, was being dragged through this garden."

"They were." Fire unhappily told him.

"Reaps... She left this trail when Life dragged her through the garden..."

"I can only interfere so much, and I would have stopped this, but if I did, I would have been blocked from everything and Reaper would still be trapped..." Fire unhappily said.

"You're not a God..."

"No. I'm something else." Fire simply said.

"And you have rules that you must follow."

"All beings do Child, but the Fate of this Multiverse has broken so many rules, leading to this insanity, that I may have to break one." Fire replied.

Geno nodded his head, and he followed the path of dry, and dead grass.

It crunched underneath his slippers, as he walked.

"After all, in another life, she ripped her body apart, to save me. I could do no less.." Fire said, after a few minutes of silence...

Geno stopped walking, and he froze.... In another life... Reaps ripped her body apart to save a friend?!

"She recovered, after all, she's a being like me..." Fire replied. "She survived, but she was very, very, tired."

"Reaps is more than a Goddess?"

"At the moment she is only Reaper, she is a incomplete being now. She is only a goddess until she is one again." Fire whispered.

Geno nodded his head... He knew what it was like to be an incomplete being... And he continued to walk...

He eventually found a very fancy looking hut.

Life's home.

----

Reaper tried to stand up, again, but she eventually had to sit down.

Traveller's bandages were a big help, she no longer felt the pain that she felt, when she tried to stand up, during his visit, and now, she had to adjust to having them around her legs.

She could see something outside of the locked door, to this place, and she carefully stumbled her way over to it.

It could be accessed by a tiny flap that she was too big to squeeze through, and Reaper hissed, when she opened the flap, and she smelt what it was.

Coffee.

She hated Coffee.

Her hiss was so loud that Fire heard it.

-----

Geno was poking around the fancy hut, to see if he could find some clues, to show him the way to Reaps's location.

"Hurry Geno!" Fire cried, she hated being in multiple spots, at once.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" He told Fire, as he looked through the kitchen, and he hissed, when he found the coffee beans.

He liked coffee, but not at the strength of the coffee beans that he had found.

"Why are you looking in the kitchen?" She asked him, bewildered. "She's down the hall!" Fire whispered.

Geno dropped the coffee beans, and he started to run down the hallway, into an outside room, that was filled with huts....

Geno didn't know that when Life had guests over, they used to stay in the huts, but over time, as Life's corruption became clearer to see, to everyone, they just stopped visiting her, and the huts went out of use, Geno could see that some of their roofs had caved in, and weeds were growing on their walls.

"Pitful isn't it, once, Life could have easily pulled herself away, but then, she allowed her obsession to control her." Fire told him.

"Her obsession?"

"The story of Life and Death, shouldn't have taken this path. Fate wrote the story, but Life saw a glimpse of what could be, in alternate timelines. In that other timeline, Reaper was male, and they would become good friends, and in some timelines, they become star crossed lovers. But instead, she got little Chaos Reaper... She preferred the timelines that were in other Multiverses." Fire explained, to Geno.

"Little Chaos Reaper?"

"Ignore that Geno." Fire giggled.

Geno nodded his head, and he started to walk through the maze of huts. "So, she wanted the Reaper from the alternate timelines, in other Multiverses?"

"Yes, but that Reaper will never be her's either, and those timelines are very rare, Reaper's always have a Geno." Fire simply said.

"And she couldn't take it..."

"No.. " Fire sighed.

"She didn't get the Reaper that she wanted."

"And thus... her obsession began. And she fell, broke.. corrupted. But she wasn't meant to look into what could have been, because in that way, madness waits for those that take that path..." Fire told him.

Geno frowned. "And that's why she hurts Reaps?"

"Yes..." Fire said. "This hut, to the right, Geno."

"Wait... That means that a female Reaper is very rare?" He asked Fire as he turned to the right.

"It's such a tiny percentage, that it's scary." Fire replied.

He continued to walk, and when he looked at a hut to the right, and he was so happy to see the empty eyesockets of the tiny Death.

---

"Gen!" Reaper yelled, and she managed to squeeze an arm out, through the bars on her cell door.

Geno grabbed her hand, and it squeezed it. "It's okay Reaps, I'm here... Everything is going to be okay."

"Geno..." Reaper started to cry.

"Shhh... Reaps... It's okay..." He summoned a bone, and he picked the lock on the door, and he opened it.

He carefully scooped Reaper up, in his arms, and he hugged her.

"No one ever takes the door." Fire giggled, pushing the door, which showed that Life had forgotten to lock it.

Geno frowned, that explained why the door was so easy to pick, but with the way that Life healed Reaps's legs, she couldn't use the door to escape.

Reaper was crying into his ribcage, and he gently rubbed her back. "Come on Reaps... Let's get out of here."

Reaper nodded her head.

"I want Papy..." Reaper muttered.

"Don't worry, he's near." Fire told her.

"Yeah." Geno told her. "They just couldn't get into the Garden."

Reaper nodded her head and she snuggled Geno.

Fire paused and sighed, she could feel Fate's attention wondering this way, again.

"Fire?" Geno heard Fire's sigh. "What's wrong?"

"You know those rules I told you about..." Fire unhappily said.

"The ones that you can't break?" Geno asked, as Reaper looked at Fire.

"Yes, one of them means that if Fate catches me here, I'm booted from this Multiverse and I won't be able to help you. I'll be a ghost that you won't hear or see... Their gaze is heading this way again, so I have to leave." Fire bitterly said.

Reaper whimpered. "I don't want you to go Fire..."

"She has to go Reaps." Geno told her. "And you can always see her later, when Fate's not looking."

"And I plan to little Chaos Reaper, be strong." Fire told them.

And then..

She was gone.

Reaper frowned, and Geno continued to carry her out of the outside room, with the huts.

They were walking down the hallway when they heard the angry scream, from the hut room.

Reaper froze, and she was shaking. "It's Life... Gen... She..."

Geno cursed, and he started to run, he had to put as much distance between Life, and them, as he could.

He broke down the door of the fancy hut, but since Life had healed the drag marks that he had used to find the hut, he got lost, and he took a right, instead of a left.

He continued to run down the path, until he reached a clearing, and it started to crumble, and the ground under his feet disappeared...

He, and Reaper, were sent falling, into a pit, and into a crack that suddenly appeared, underneath them.

They didn't come out of the other side of the crack.
