I (sic) very afraid. I have been cooped up in my room for the last five hours. I have not even answered the phone. Earlier this afternoon, I took a pleasant stroll which would have ended me up at today's meeting point. From a distance I could see the red and blue lights of the police in front of the building. I panicked and hurried off. Since then I have been stuck in my room. I _________________*1 the phone. Maybe Mr. Bentley is calling me, but I'm afraid to answer. I am working up the courage to take this letter to the lobby to post it. I hope I can. Indeed, if you are reading this, then I obviously suceeded (sic).
