Thursday morning

Mia's pov

"Ella wake up!!"I yell "Come on! get your ass up from that bed."I say hands on my hips.

How can someone sleep this much?

I have been trying to wake Ella up for almost 30 minutes now, we decided to go eat breakfast in town with Jason, Mike and Jake, but as you can see she is a very heavy sleeper, I'm sure that even if there was an earthquake she would still be sleeping.

So I decided to spill some water very cold water on her face "AH! What's going on???" she asks as she jumps from her bed.

I feel very satisfied.

"Remember yesterday, when we said that we were going to eat breakfast in town?"I ask her hands on my hips.

"Yeah, and?".how can she be this confused?

"Well we are running late because of your sleepy ass."I say.

"Whatever" I heard her mumble under her breath.

~10 long minutes later~

"I'm ready!"She says excitedly. Correction, she is FINALLY ready.

"Yeah, let's go!"I tell her as I grab her arm and pull her out of our dorm.

We finally made it outside the school, Jake and Mike were already sitting in the car and Jason was leaning against the car's door. Wow he looks hot.

Okay I have to calm these thoughts down, after realizing that I like Jason, I have tried to avoid him. It means since yesterday.

Let's just hope nothing goes awkwardly.

"Finally you guys are here, what took you so long?"Jason asks crossing his hands on his chest.

"Someone didn't wake up until I spilled some water on their face."I said pointing at Ella who was glaring at me right now.

"Just get in the car already" She says annoyed.

I should be the one who is annoyed, she blames me when I am the one who has a backache just because she didn't want to wake up.

The car ride was pretty much silent, and sometimes I notice Jason staring at me from the car's vanity mirror, I could feel his gaze on me without even looking at him.

After a long uncomfortable ride, we made it in town, there was a huge argument in the car everyone was arguing about where we should go eat, but I wasn't really concentrated on whatever was going on, I was looking outside the window. Thinking.

I miss my parents so much, and Christmas is almost here, we haven't talked too much, the last time I called them was probably three weeks ago, maybe they are very busy, or something came up at work. Or they just forgot about me.

I refuse to think that way my parents care a lot about me, and I am happy about that, not a lot of rich and famous parents care for their children, some of them just stay at work the whole day and ignore their kids, but I'm glad that I have the sweetest parents on earth.

I'll call them tonight.

I have been so busy with everything going on, if my parents wanted me to tell them everything that happened since the last time we talked we would stay on the phone for hours.

The fake dating, my ex-boyfriend, the parties, the few panic attacks that I had, the night when I stayed in a hotel with a BOY, dad would freak out, the day where I fainted in the cafeteria because of Jason, also when I found myself snooping around in his dorm, and then we kissed when he was shirtless, and let's not forget the make out session I had with Jeremiah in the cafeteria, to make it short, a lot of things happened this year and we are not in December yet, I am sure that I forgot to mention things, the list goes on and on and on with all the things that happened to me this year.

I am telling you, my dad would be sprinting to school right now if he found out about any of the boys stuff.

I didn't realize that I was so deep in my thoughts until Ella pinched me, how is it possible that we are still in this car?

"Are you okay Mia?"She asks very worried, everyone turn their gazes to me.

"Uh yeah I'm fine, I was just lost in my thoughts." It's the truth.

"Well, we still need your vote, do you think that we should go to dunkin donuts or Starbucks."Jake asks.

"Seriously? Who goes to Starbucks for breakfast, you go their for coffee not for breakfast."I say.

"That's what I've been telling them" Ella tells me.

"Well, your vote decides" Mikes says.

I don't want to go to dunkin donuts either.

"Well then dunkin donuts it is."I say trying to look cheerful.

I didn't like both of the options but I didn't want to break their happiness.

I decide to look back at the window when I feel eyes piercing in my soul, Jason was staring at me then mouthed 'are you okay'.I nod, but he clearly wasn't convinced.

We arrive at dunkin, I was the last one to get out of the car, when I felt a strong hand pulling me in the passenger seat.

"I need to talk to Mia for a second, don't wait for us, go order, we are coming later."Jason says.

They nod and go inside, I was hungry but dunkin wasn't really my go to in the morning.

Jason drives off and I ask"where are you taking me?"

"To eat breakfast of course" He answers his eyes focused on the road, his jawline was so sharp that you could cut yourself if you touch it.

Confused I say "Well why aren't we at dunkin with the others?"

"Feels like I know you better than your best-friend"  okay I am very confused.

"Jason what is going on?" I am starting to get annoyed.

"Come on Mia, when you heard the two options, you were disappointed, I saw the look on your face, you didn't want to eat dunkin, I'm not gonna lie me neither, but of course you'd rather see everyone happy than be happy yourself, so I'm taking you somewhere else."He says.

Okay his last sentence hit me very hard, but I would rather be sad than seeing everyone unhappy.

As much as I tried not to blush, I felt the blush creep up my cheeks, I didn't need a mirror to know that I looked like a tomato.

We just arrived in front of Denny's, now that's what I called breakfast.

"You like it?" Jason asks as we get out of his car. Beautiful car.

"Thank you Jason, for everything and for caring that much." I went to hug him a real tight hug that he returned.

"Anything for my princess" I heard him mumble under his breath.

Here we go again, I am blushing.

Before pulling out of the hug he leans next to my ear and whispers "I am happy that I still have this effect on you princess"

Two can play this game.

I decide to put my hand behind his neck bringing him closer, I give him a little kiss on the corner of his lips, I feel him wanting more because he started gripping my hips harder, but instead of kissing him, I whisper in his ear "Two can play this game"

I turn around to enter Denny's but Jason spines me towards him landing on his chest, "Don't play with me princess, this is your first and last warning" He says with a huge smirk on his lips.

"You are disgusting Jason Miller" I say crossing my hands on my chest.

"I didn't say anything you are the dirty minded person here" liar.

"Whatever, let's just go eat."I say.

~20 minutes later~

"Where have you disappeared to?"Ella asks hands on her hips and her eyebrow raised.

Nowhere.

"We went to eat breakfast at Denny's the bacon was delicious."Jason says.

"Seriously? Why didn't you take me with you?"Mike sulks.

"So you're leaving us behind like that Mike?"Jake asks dramatically putting his hand on his heart.

"Every man for themselves" Mikes answers.

"I can't believe you!"Jake tells him.

They are very annoying sometimes, but they're our friends what can I say?

"Not but seriously why didn't you take us with you?"Ella starts "Unless if this was a secret date!!!!"She cheers.

"No it wa-" Jason cuts me off "Of course it was a date." He says wiggling his eyebrows.

"We missed a lot" Jake adds.

"Don't be stupid, it was not a date, Jason took me to Denny's because we both didn't want to eat dunkin donuts." I try defending myself.
Soon their smiles fade away, well sorry for breaking their happiness.

I know that I had admitted to myself that I liked Jason, and him saying that this was a 'date' made me blush, but thank God no one noticed.

I couldn't let them see the way Jason made me feel, not possible.

We came back to school and it was around 10h45 am, classes already started but it's fine, it's not like we haven't missed school before, and that's another thing added to the list of things my parents can't know.

I decided to get back to my dorm to sleep for a little bit.

Thursday afternoon (the same day)

Mia's pov

I just woke up from my nap, I noticed that Ella was sleeping next to me, I checked what time it was and it's already 6pm, I was very hungry, I tried to get up from bed without waking Ella up.

Who am I kidding, this morning I had to spill some water on her to wake her up.

I make my way to the door when I hear Ella say "where are you going?"
Wow I am shocked, she can wake up fast if she wants to, why didn't she do it in the morning.

"Well we slept the whole morning, and it's 6 pm so I was going to go for a walk and then eat, wanna come?" I ask.

"No I'm okay, have fun and don't come back late,and don't forget to bring me something to eat" She says.

"Yes mom" I chuckle.

Few minutes later, I was outside, the cold wind hitting my bare legs, it feels great to go out and clear my mind, I didn't really have something on my mind, but I didn't really feel like staying inside.

I noticed a tall figure sitting on the bench in front of the school, it's Jason.

"Hey" I say as I sit down next to him "what are you doing here?" I ask.

"I could ask you the same thing" he answers.

"I don't know, just to feel the fresh air I guess, you?"I tell him.

"Same thing."He says.

"Wanna go for a walk?"I ask him as I stand up.

"Sure" He answers.

10 minutes later

We were in the middle of the walk when Jason starts "I didn't see you and Ella after we came back from town."

"Yeah, we were tired so we took a nap, we just woke up an hour ago and that's when I saw you here."He nods in understanding.

If I was walking with Jason before, when I used to see him as a friend I would feel very comfortable when there is silence, but right now I am feeling very nervous.

I really want to tell him how I feel about him,

I just want to end this misery.

"Jason, I have to tell you something..."
