Okay, my fabulous darlings here's a second chapter again really sorry about how it's laid out and if it's short I'm trying really hard with my writing and I know it's bad :(

Shanai's POV

Chapter 2: You and I:  Back to the start

1979

Shanai: (humming) Right, then one more bar stool to clean then I can finally go home and relax  with a hot chocolate in front of the TV thank God!

I walk towards the bar I see someone sitting at the bar, tidying his song sheets away, he sees me and smiles sweetly.

Shanai: Oh! Sorry I didn't realise anybody was in here I'll come back and clean when you've finished in here, I didn't mean to disturb you, so sorry once again (I turn away to leave the bar ).

Freddie: it's alright darling carry on, what's your name?

Shanai: Shanai Eliza Jane Collins.

Freddie: Hello Shanai, I'm Freddie Mercury (he smiles sweetly and shakes my hand).

Shanai: Oh yes, I know who you are Mr Mercury, I often dance to your music.

Freddie: (He laughs) First of all darling call me Freddie, and second of all you have good taste and third of all it's good to know you're not afraid to have fun.

Shanai: (I smile confidently) Well, I always say life's a book you got to turn the page to find out what happens next.

Freddie: (Looks at me amazed) That's an incredible attitude, can I get your number? We would make great friends.

Shanai: Okay sure, but I'm just a woman, I'm not much of a human being.

Freddie: (Writes my number on a piece of paper and puts it in his wallet and hands me a piece of paper with his number on it) Thank you, and never underestimate yourself, just by looking at you, you seem like you have so much potential to do whatever you want, what do you want to do?

Shanai: I'm not sure, never thought about it, I'm just a plain looking barmaid.

Freddie: There's more to you than meets the eye, I'll call you sometime, yeah? (he gives a seductive wink).

Shanai: (I smile shyly at Freddie) Yeah okay sure, not a problem at all, well, I've finished the cleaning here that's me done for the day, thank god for that!

Freddie: (Laughs flirtatiously) You're really funny, you must be glad to go home to your boyfriend.

Shanai: (I let out a small flirty laugh) Oh thank you, but I don't have a boyfriend I live alone.

Freddie: (He looks at me surprised) What? A pretty girl like you must have a boyfriend, I mean you're beautiful, you're clearly a very attractive woman a man has to be insane to turn you down, I don't believe you don't have a boyfriend. It's very surprising to hear that.

Shanai: (I feel my cheeks getting hot, I start blushing and laugh flirtatiously) Nobody's described me like that before, I don't actually think highly of myself, but thank you.

Freddie:(looks at me seductively and grins) Well, I'm glad to be the first and you have a lot of personality, You should think more highly of yourself, even if you have disabilities.

Shanai:(I stare at him stunned) Thank you, I try but it's difficult and how did you know I have disabilities?

Freddie: I could tell by your walk, it's nothing to be ashamed of, it makes you a beautiful person inside and out, besides from talking to you, I've worked out you're a lovely creature (he follows this statement with a wink).

Shanai:(Wow! I'm blushing and grinning like an idiot) Wow, never thought of my disability that way and thank you so much it means a lot that you're not judging me, well I'm going to go wait for my bus, it's lovely to meet you.

Freddie: (flashes his cute smile) You're more than welcome my dear, and the pleasure's all mine, Shanai, I'll definitely call you, you're a great girl and a great conversationalist.

Shanai: ( I smile shyly) I'll look forward to your call, now I've got to go to the bus stop for my bus to arrive.

Freddie: I'll give you a lift on my motorbike, if you want.

Shanai: You ride a motorbike? I'm impressed, I never knew you rode a motorbike.

Freddie: I've recently got my licence, only you know, our secret okay? (he winks).

Shanai: Okay, between us it is, and yes a lift would be lovely thank you.

Freddie took my bags and carried them for me he told me I'd been working hard to run the bar, serve drinks and help the landlord clean so, it's only right that he should help me, he's so lovely and gorgeous, I can't believe we'd been flirting with each other, but he's so sweet and kind.

It was a fabulous motorbike ride and it was my first time on the back of a motorbike it was so thrilling, daring and exciting I'd never felt like this before, Freddie's different to all other fellas I've met what's happen to me? I don't know what's happening to me, but we finally arrived at my house.

Freddie: Well, here we are, you have a lovely home, here let me carry those for you, you must be exhausted, after doing all that hard work, today and this is to thank you for your fantastic work.

Shanai: Awww, thank you, it may not look much but it's home, and you don't have to help me, also thank you, you're too kind, but it's my job. I don't want to bother you, I don't want to waste your time.

Freddie: (Carries on flirting with me, note I'm not stopping him and he picks up my bags and carries them towards my house front door). Not at all, in fact it's time wasted well.

I open my front door he heads in first with my bags, he's so gorgeous oh my god, I've just met the man it feels like I've known him forever I think I'm falling in love, but I can't say anything he might think I'm crazy, I love him oh my god Shanai, get a grip of yourself he couldn't fall for someone like you.

Freddie: Where would you like these put?

Shanai: On the kitchen table please, would you like a cup of tea, coffee or Hot Chocolate?

Freddie: There you go and no thank you I'm fine, well, I better head off, I'll call you, bye (He takes my hand, kisses it, winks and closes my door behind him).

I'm absolutely dancing with excitement as I head up to bed I can't help but smile!

Shanai:(singing) I feel pretty oh so pretty I feel pretty and witty and gay!
