In Ridgefield, California.

Ben Olsen, in his early 20s, arrives with his car at his parents' house after work.

He gets out of the car and puts a cap on his head, he presses the control of the car heading towards the front door of the house.

He opens the door "Mom I'm here!" Ben says throwing the key on a nearby table, Mark Olsen, Ben's father approaches "hi son!" Mark says "hi dad" Ben hugs his dad.

A little girl comes running towards them "Uncle Ben!" Katy Olsen, his niece, runs to him and he picks her up "Captain trouble!" Ben says "Did you bring anything for me?" The little girl asks, Ben raises his eyebrow.

Joanna, now Ben's sister-in-law walks in "Katy! He's barely arrived and you're already disturbing him" Joanna says "relax Joanna, I have something that will calm her down right...here!" Ben takes a chocolate out of his pocket "Yay!" Katy says.

Will, Ben's older brother, walks in "Ben, man, stop spoiling our daughter" Will says "hey the deal is you're the annoying ones and I'm the cool uncle! It's always been like that and always will be bro, accept it!" Ben says, Will rolls his eyes.

"can I eat before dinner?" Katy asks Ben "if you want!" Ben says, Joanna gasps "Ben!" Joanna says catching Katy "no you can't have dessert before dinner!" Joanna says leaving, with Katy.

"you never grow up!?" Will ask "I didn't need it" Ben says "well I want to see what you're going to do the day you need it!" Will says "hey hey! No fight boys!" Mark says.

Gail Olsen, Marni, Will and Ben's mother comes excitedly down the stairs.

"hi boys, did you hear the news?" Gail asks "yes Marni and Charlie are getting married!" Mark says "how do you know?" Gail asks "Mom for the thousandth time we are all in the family group!" Ben says "Ben! What did I say about caps in the house!" Gail says taking off his cap.

"I thought they were already married" Ben says "no, they just live together, they never had time for a ceremony, Marni is very busy" Gail says as she walks into the kitchen.

"I'm happy that they're finally going to have the ceremony that Marni always dreamed of" Will says, Ben looks out the window and chuckles "I can't believe that old thing is still standing!" Ben points to the treehouse.

"Obviously, Me and your brothers built it with our own hands" Mark says "yeah and after you almost killed me and my wife by loosening the screws..." Will says going over to Ben who rolls his eyes.

"I made some adjustments so Katy could play in it" Will says "you did a good job, I'm glad they didn't take it apart, I have a lot of memories of that treehouse" Ben says.

"What kind of memories?" Gail asks "memories mom" Ben says "Oh okay sir secret" Gail smirk.

"where will the wedding be?" Mark asks "apparently at Charlie's father's beach house in Mauritius" Will says.

"So cool!" Ben says "wait it's going to be at Aston's house!?" Mark asks "dad don't start" Will says "don't start what?" Ben asks.

"Mark, the past is the past" Gail says "what are you talking about!?" Ben asks.

"Aston Mason, Charlie's dad is kind of an old rival of Dad's" Will says "What!?" Ben laughs "nothing much" Gail says.

"Nothing much? This damn beach house was probably bought with the money he got from the business he stole from me!" Mark says.

"You were partners!?" Ben asks "yes, many years ago" Gail says.

"Lucky his kids are good kids and didn't take after his bad character" Mark says, Gail hugs Mark.

"I know you guys have issues, but Mark please hold back for a week, for Marni" Gail says "I'll try my best" Mark says.

"That goes for all of you, behave yourself because from what Marni told me..." "mom, she said it in the group she told all of us!" Ben interrupts, Gail galres at him "This will be a family-only ceremony, all the attention will be ours and the success of this wedding is also in our hands" Gail says

"that's an exaggeration" Will says "no, remember what happened at this family's last wedding? I think this is a completely valid warning" Joanna says entering.

"Charlie's family are good people, I spent a lot of time with them when I was a teenager, it will be good to see them again" Will says, Gail smiles proudly.

"How about you?" Will ask Ben and smiles "what?" Ben asks "are you looking forward to seeing Stella again?" Will ask.

"who?" Ben asks "Stella, Charlie's little sister" Will says, Ben thinks "you're going to say you don't remember her?" Will says "well, she was kind of nerdy and weird...i guess...i don't remember" Ben says.

Will chuckles "She was super into you when you were kids" Will says.

"I wouldn't put it that way" Ben says "she was clearly into you" Will laughs "Aww that's so cute, Ben, why you never told me you had a girlfriend when you were a kid!?" Joanna says.

"Because she wasn't my girlfriend!" Ben says uncomfortable "She liked you, Charlie told me she only talked about you" Will says, Ben starts to get uncomfortable.

"I barely spoke to her" Ben looks away "it was because she was shy around you" Will says "Aw that's so cute" Joanna says.

"It was a child thing, it doesn't matter anymore" Ben says "as far as I know she's single" Will says.

Ben laughs "Me and Stella Mason? Forget it" Ben says "why? she was your friend, wasn't she?" Will says "kinda, but she was...she's not my type" Ben says, Will and Joanna look at each other and shrug.
