At the wedding party.

Marni and Charlie have just cut the cake, everyone celebrates, dancing, singing and drinking.

Stella and Richard dance together, he has been helping her all night to have fun and take her mind off.

Ben is on the other side of the room staring at the glass of champagne, he has already loosened his tie and his hair wasn't straightened anymore.

Ben hums the song that plays at the party to himself, in a desperate attempt to have fun at that party.

Stella pours some more wine into a glass, Richard takes the glass away from her "that's enough" Richard says, Stella rolls her eyes "you're the one who told me to have fun, and that's what you always tell me!" Stella says.

"yes but that's not what I mean" Richard puts the glass aside, Stella rolls her eyes "Come on, let's dance" Richard takes her hand.

"Dancing isn't helping me at all" Stella says "it means you're not dancing enough" Richard smirk.

Ben looks at Stella and Richard dancing, from his point of view she looks good, while he feels like rubbish who can't understand what he feels.

Ben throws his head back and sighs "what am I doing?" Ben says to himself "what's happening to me?" Ben closes his eyes.

Ben runs his hand through his hair, he tries to resist but every time he closes his eyes, memories of the night before come to his head, and he doesn't want to think about it.

He thinks about the conversation he had with Gail, and how to change the course of the story.

Until he sees Stella going to the bathroom, Ben drinks the rest of the glass of champagne and goes after her.

Stella fixes her hair in front of the
mirror in the hallway in front of the bathroom.

In the reflection of the mirror she sees Ben approaching, with an upset look, looking terrible.

Stella wets her lips, distressed by the way he looks at her "Enjoying the party?" Ben asks "I am and you!?" Stella says.

"I feel like I could enjoy it more" Ben says "maybe if you weren't such an idiot you could" Stella says angrily "oh so we're back to square one?" Ben asks annoyed.

"We never left square one to be honest" Stella says "Seriously? that's not what it seemed like last night!" Ben says "you have no right to talk about last night!" Stella turns to him.

Ben gasps "I have as much right as you to talk about this" Ben says "It's all your fault!" Stella says "it's not just my fault it got this far" Ben says.

"You were the one who started this" Stella says irritated "you were the one who cleared the way" Ben says, Stella was about to retort but Ben raised his eyebrows slightly and she rethought the argument.

Stella sighs irritably, Ben rolls his eyes and tries to remain calm.

"Listen, last night was..." "last night was a mistake!" Stella stops, Ben frowns.

Stella sighs "I hate myself for this, because I really thought that last night was going to be the beginning for me to finally be able to do something right with my life!" Stella says, Ben looks at her thoughtfully.

"It was the best night of my life..." Stella says upset, Ben sighs "because everything was falling into place, for the first time... look, before I came on this trip, I gave notice of dismissal at the law firm where I work" Stella says frustrated.

"what!?" Ben say "Yeah, I don't have a job anymore. And then you showed up and made me believe that my work was good... you offered me a job..." Stella shakes her head indignantly.

"Stella the job is yours, I'll help you with it..." "it's the least I expect from you now!" Stella interrupts firmly.

Ben bites his lip frustrated "What happened this morning was a misunderstanding, i was..." Ben says "I CAN'T BEN!" Stella closes her eyes in agony, Ben looks at her upset.

"I don't want this anymore!! I don't want to get involved with you like this because every time I do that I end up alone and hurt, and I'm TIRED!" Stella says upset.

"You aways do this, you mess whit my head and whit my heart so much that you convince me..." Stella looks at him with a disappointed look.

"...You convince me to kiss you, you convince me to accept a job with you, you convince me to have sex whit you and you convince me that I can jump on it, making me belive that you really feel something for me!" Stella says.

"But i have feelings for you!!" Ben screams, Stella presses her lips together "I've always had feelings for you, damn it!!" Ben says angry.

Stella shakes her head "Yeah, you know what, Stella. That thing where I was a kid and just wanted to know what it was like to kiss is the biggest lie ever!! You want to know why!?" Ben says irritably "Well say It, it must be really good!" Stella says.

"Of course I didn't want to know what it was like to kiss, I'm not a fucking poem. I wanted to know what it would be like to kiss YOU!!" Ben points at her, Stella's eyes widen in surprise.

Stella swallows her tears "It still doesn't justify what you did to me" Stella says "I panicked, like any little boy does when he faces love at such a young age!" Ben says "Love?" Stella scoffs "Yes!" Ben says firmly.

Stella takes a deep breath "Little did I know but I was in love with you...I still am" Ben says with an angry face, Stella looks at him not beliving him.

"I always liked you, you were my best friend, why do you think you had a free pass to go to the treehouse?" Ben chuckles indignantly, Stella shakes her head "you reject me" Stella crosses her arms.

"No, it was a mix of things, the idea of liking a girl like that scared me and my stupid friends always got in the way...But I didn't reject you...You don't know what happened to me that day" Ben says.

Stella looks at him angrily "it doesn't matter anymore, it's very easy for you to come now and say all that..." Stella wipes away a tear.

"You need to believe me..." Ben says "Just leave me alone, Ben!" Stella says her voice cracks from trying to hold back crying for so long

"Enough! I just want the company's email address and nothing else, but I only ask you this because I need this job, it's the only thing you can do right now... but Us, it ends here" Stella says firmly.

Stella tries to leave and Ben gets in the way "Last night was the best night of my life too!" Ben says worriedly "Oh of course" Stella says sarcastically.

"I would never sleep with you just to brag to my friends, that's ridiculous! And about the dance you have to believe that I..." "Fuck off, Ben!" Stella screams "What part of this don't you understand?" Stella says, Ben looks at her upset.

"I'll never leave myself surrender for you again, I'm an idiot but there's a limit to everything!" Stella says upset "I...I love you" Ben says with a heavy voice and his eyes look upset and full of tears, Stella shakes her head and leaves.

Ben lets out the cold air he was holding, trying not to collapse.

He breathes anxiously, it feels like his chest is going to explode.
