Hand on hand
Anotha update. Enjoy
Millie's POV
I open my eyes with a pounding headache, and groan. I look around, and realize I'm not in my room. I'm nowhere familiar. I start to panic, and try to control my breathing. Nobody is in the bed next to me, either. Did I get kidnapped? Where am I? What happened to me last night?
Tears start to form in my eyes, and I look around for my phone. It's nowhere to be seen.
I hear the door open, and see Finn walking in with water and pills in his hand. We both freeze and stop what we're doing, and look at each other. He doesn't have a shirt on, just shorts. His shirt is on the floor, inside out. I look down at my self to see if I have clothes on, and I do. I am in a pair of sweatpants, longer than my legs which make them baggy, with a black shirt. I don't have a bra on.
"What's wrong?" Finn asked, and I realized a tear was streaming down my cheek. I quickly wiped it, and shook my head.
"Uh, nothing. I didn't know where I was." I said, and he sat on the bed, handing me the medicine.
"I'm sorry, I would've stayed but I didn't know if you were going to be up when I left." He said, as I swallowed the pills with the water. I look at him, and he's already looking at me.
"It's okay. Um, is this your room?" I asked, and he nodded. I took a closer look at it. The walls were grey, nothing hanging up on the walls. His dresser and desk were black. There's another door leading to a bathroom.
"Um, do you not..remember anything from last night?" Finn asked, and I looked over to him, scared of what he's going to say happened.
"No. Did we..?" I asked, and he widened his eyes and shook his head.
"No, no. Not that," he said, looking to the shirt on the ground, "You were just in the mood to kiss me I guess. And take my shirt off." He said, and I felt the heat rush into my cheeks. I'm way too flirty when I'm drunk. Well shit.
"I'm sorry Finn, I didn't mean to. Why am I here?" I asked.
"It's okay, I promise. You said you couldn't go home because your mom would kill you. I didn't know where else to bring you." He said, and I nodded. Now that I think about it, I've never been to Finns house. I've never even seen his house, or where he lives.
"Thank you." I said, and he nodded. He looked like he was hiding something. Or he was anxious about something.
"Is everything okay?" I asked, and he nodded.
"Yeah. It's just nobody's been at my house before." He said, looking into my eyes. I stood up, and grabbed his hand to lift him out of bed.
"Well, show me around then." I said, and he nodded, and he did indeed show me around.
His house is huge. I never knew he had a big house. I just assumed he lived in a small one, I guess. It would be a nice house for group hangouts and stuff. But I think there's a reason nobody comes here, I just don't know it. I can obviously tell there is a reason though, based off of Finns vibe as he showed me around.
They had four floors, and a theater room. It was honestly super nice and modern.
"Your house is really nice, Finn. Why don't you have the group over to hang out?" I asked, and he shrugged.
"My parents aren't a fan of having people over, ever. This is like a special occasion, because they aren't here." He said, and I nodded. I did notice almost all countertops, furniture, and tables were black. That was the theme of the house. There was some white floating around, but it was mostly black. They had dark hardwood floor also. It looked super clean.
"Oh. Well, did you want me to leave?" I asked, and he looked to me.
"No," he responded quickly. "I mean, you don't have to." He said, and I nodded.
"I can stay a bit." I said. We both smiled a bit, and we ate breakfast.
——
I woke up from someone calling me. I groaned and stretched, making myself aware of my surroundings. Finn was laying next to me, also asleep. I furrowed my eyebrows, grabbing my phone and answering it.
"Hello?" I asked, waking Finn up.
"Where are you? It's almost 6." My mom said, and my eyes widened and I shot up.
"I'm at Sadie's, but I'll be home soon." I said, and Finn looked at me.
"Okay, be safe. I love you!" She said. I told her I loved her to, then ended the call.
"How long have we been asleep?" I asked, trying to recollect what happened earlier.
"A couple hours. You have. I've just had my eyes closed." He said, and I nodded. His bed is really comfortable. It's nice to sleep in. And I like his comforters, they're big and warm.
"You need to go home?" He asked, and I laid back down, and faced him. They were both laying on their sides, facing each other.
"I don't really want to. Your bed is comfy." I said, which made him smile. I like his smile, I don't see it too often.
"Then stay." He said, which made my stomach erupt with butterflies. I wish I could.
"You want me to?" I asked, and he shrugged. He looked down to my hand resting on the bed between us, and put his hand next to it, grazing his pointer finger over my fingers.
"It's nice to have company," he said, his eyes not leaving our hands. It gave me butterflies. Is he flirting?
"But if you have to go, then you should. I don't want to hold you here." He said, and looked back up to my eyes.
Why am I tempted to kiss him? Should I?
No. I shouldn't. I'm fine. I haven't taken my medicine today, either. Maybe that's affecting me.
Around ten minutes later, we got in the car and he drove me home. I forgot my clothes at his house, but that's okay. I'll just get them another time.
We pulled into my driveway, and he looked towards me. He ended up putting on a sweatshirt and joggers. He looks nice in grey joggers. I've never really seen him wear them.
"It was fun spending time with you." I said, and he nodded.
"You too, Millie." He said, and I smiled.
"Im sorry if I said anything stupid while I was drunk." I said, and he shook his head.
"You just spoke the truth." He said, and looked at him.
"What did I talk about?" I asked, and he looked down.
"Just things about Jacob. What he made you do. And how you don't want anyone touching you." He said, and I looked down. I didn't mean to tell him all of that.
"I'm sorry." I said, and he shook his head, taking the outside of my hand in his.
"It's okay, Millie. I promise." He said, and I nodded. We sat there for a couple of seconds, before he took his hand away.
"I'll see you soon?" I asked, and he nodded. I got out of the car, and looked into his eyes.
"Bye, Finn."
"Bye, Millie."
