It was around six when Katie was getting ready to leave. She and her twin sister Kayla was invited to go to a small party with their friends. Summer was almost over, and they wanted to spend as much time together as possible.

"Kayla, are you coming?" Katie said as she was doing her hair.

Kayla shook her head and sat on the bed, "Nope."

Katie stopped what she was doing, "Are you serious?"

She kicks off her shoes, "Yep."

Kayla grabbed her phone and went through it.

Katie rolled her eyes, "You never do anything."

"And you always do too much," Her sister said as she continued to look on the screen.

Katie looked at her, "what?"

"I still don't understand why people can't tell us apart."

Kayla sat up pretending to be interested, "I know right...I'm nice and you're a bitch."

"I'm hot and you're a hobo."

"I have-."

Katie interrupted her. "Games and I have boyfriends."

Kayla hates when she gets like this, "You a slut and I'm not."

Katie stood up from her chair, "it's called winning at life." Then she walked into the closet.

"No, it's called being a slut."

"Whatever. So are you coming or not?"

She gets under her covers," I told you already, no."

Katie dropped something in the closet, "Come on it's the last two days of summer before school starts. Don't you want to spend time with your friends?"

Grunting Kayla said, "I can do that at school."

Katie throws a hanger at her, "Come on old lady. Classes are going to get in the way of that and who's to say we are going to have classes with them."

Kayla sat up, "Wow, I didn't think of that.....I'm still not going." She laid back down.

"Fine," Katie said not wanting to push the issue more.

"But if anyone asked, I'm running away with my motorcycle boyfriend and I don't want to be found."

Katie walks out of the closet with a red crop top, black jacket and wedges. She looked at her sister again this time confused.

"What?"

She walked over to the dresser and picked up her lip gloss, "no one is going to ask..." She puts her lip gloss on. "They know you. Bye-bye," She then blows a kiss and walks out of the room.

Meanwhile, at Eva's house

Music playing and the five of the friends are already there. Eva was dancing on the kitchen table with a drink in her hand and Cheetos in the other. Emma was trying to get her off the table without touching her do to her new outfit. Alyssa was dancing on Colby in the corner. Jeff upstairs jacking off while looking through the window at the next door neighbors wife taking a bath.

Alyssa's back was facing Colby as they danced together, "Colby, do you love me?"

He laughed a little, "Of course I don't."

"What?" She turned around and faced him.

"Don't act surprised. You should already know this Alyssa. I have a girlfriend. What we have is well-."

She moves away from him, "So basically I'm your side hoe."

"Why you gotta say it like that? You aren't my side hoe...your my H.A. Q girl."

She knows what that means. Hit it and quit it girl. She hates that. Guys made that up to confused girls like her. They wanted them to think they are important before throwing them aside. She didn't want to show that she's mad, so she acted like she didn't know what it means, "What's that?"

"Something that is only supposed to happen once, but you do keep coming back." He said as he looked a little frustrated.

"Then it's supposed to have a different name than that, right?" She throws a hint at him. She wasn't to make it official.

He was shocked she might actually know what it means. He thought she was dumb. He thought to himself I need to throw her off a bit, "What?"

"Well--," she began to explain, and he kissed her to shut her up.

"Eva git down," Emma tried to reach for her.

"Why?" As she danced with her drink in her hand, some flew out of her cup and almost hit Emma.

She dodged it, "Hey, watch it."

"It's my house I can do what I want," she drunk some of what was in the cup and threw the rest of it back.

"I'll be damned if you get this outfit wet."

Eva laughed, "It's gonna get wet when you wash it dumb ass." Then she throws Cheetos at her.

She moved around and tried not to get hit, "Eva stop it."

The lights went out. The girls screamed, Eva falls off the table. Emma tries hard to stop her laughter.

Colby walks over to the window. "There's no storm."

"It might be another city blackout," Emma said.

He pointed to the neighbor's house, "If it was then the neighbors would be out too." He then yelled, "JEFF."

"Yeah?" He answered from the room upstairs.

"I'm gonna need some help, get down here."

"Alright," Jeff came running down the stairs. He managed not to fall.

"You and I are going outside," Colby said as he began to take charge.

"For what?" Jeff doesn't really like doing work. But if he has to he will just not work with Colby.

When he asked this the window next to them broke. Everyone screams, another window breaks next to it. This continues until all of the living room windows are broken. The group of friends stood in the middle of the living room not knowing what to do.

Then the lights come on. Everyone tried to relax. But they could be calm their beating hearts.

"Man, what was all that About?" Emma said as she placed her hand on her chest.

"Look, if we knew we would tell you," Colby said as he looked at the ground trying to find what broke the windows.

Emma hates when he snaps at her. He only does it to her and no one else. She doesn't know why he just does. She couldn't take it asked, "Why are you always coming for me?"

He didn't answer someone else did.

"Maybe...," Everyone screams and looked behind them. Katie was standing there smiling at them.

"He just wants to get with you...," she hugs Colby. "To get back at me," they kiss.

Alyssa disparately wanted to leave but she knew how guilty she would look if she did. She decided to stay and force her best fake smile she could possibly do.

"Was that you?" Emma asked as she pointed at Katie.

"When?"

"With the windows."

Katie looked down at all of the broken glass than at the broken windows. "Nope. But whoever did it helped me from knocking on the door. There was this weird cat."

Eva laughed and fixed her another drink.

"Well we gotta clean this mess up before--," Emma was about to grab a broom when Katie stopped her.

"Why are you such a downer Em? Live a little."

Emma looked around the room with her arms crossed.

Katie fixed a drink and hands it to Emma. "Look...You can worry about this now and bring everyone down, or you can live in the moment and enjoy the night with us. It's your choice."

Emma takes the drink.

Alyssa then said, "Maybe it's too hard for her to decide. I mean she's been sucking the fun out of party's since she was born."

"She could be the meanest person here and drag us all down," Colby added.

"It always feels like we were arguing with a bitter old lady," Jeff said with a laugh.

Eva finished her drink, "Yeah and all she could have done to fix it....was to party with us."

"But I--."

Alyssa cut Emma off, " She did party with us.....once. It was fun. For like a second."

Colby then said, "Until she turned into a sad mope. And tried to do the right thing 24-7."

Everyone laughed. Emma chugged her drink in one go and ask for another.

"Oh look at her go," Jeff said as he eats one of the snacks.

"Trying to get fucked up Emma?" Colby said as he was about to pick something up.

"So, where's the music?" Katie asked this and everyone stopped talking realizing the music wasn't playing.

She looked at everyone and smiled, "What?"

"It should have come back on with the lights," Alyssa stated.

Not seeing what the problem was she said, "Ok...is anyone going to fix it?"

In a drunk annoying voice, Eva said, "Ohhhhhhh Colby..."

"No no no. I'm not doing it," He quickly shook her head.

"Wow," Katie puts down her drink and walked over to the couch he was sitting in.

"What?"

She leans forward, "Who knew you were a wimp?"

"Excuse me?"

Katie then turned her head looking at Jeff, "Jeff can you--."

Before she could finish, "I'm on it," and he runs over to the radio.

She looks back at Colby smiled and said, "Thank you, Jeff."

This, of course, pissed him off. He balled up his fist.

"Hay, You hooked this up to the house speakers?"Jeff asked.

Eva nods her head, "Yep."

"I'll be back," He then runs to the basement.

"Now why couldn't you do that Colby?" Katie crossed her arms and she asked him this.

"I didn't want to go down there."

Katie looked at Alyssa, "but you did want to----," before she could finish a loud screeching sound was heard over the speakers. Everyone covered their ears.
