"You're welcome, also what's your name Sunny Jim..?" Bernie asks questioning him nicely.

"My Name is Ralph and hers is Audrey." He said smiling at the man sipping his tea.

"Great names, also I got a room upstairs that you two can stay in for tonight, there's one big soft chair near the window and a full size bed in there that has lot of blankets on it to keep you warm." The guy says cleaning up the treat appliances while talking to them hoping they'll agree to his generosity.

Audrey looks at Ralph staring at him while sipping her cuppa tea wondering if they should take the old man's offer of staying in the bakery.

Ralph then looks at her smiling then whispers in her ear.  "Audrey should we say yes to his offer of staying here?"

"Um..I think yes it would be great idea to stay here we'd be much warmer In here compared in the train tonight. " she whispered back to him in his ear being glad she wouldn't be in a cold train going home tonight.

"Thank you sir! we would gladly stay here for tonight and we can leave by the morning before you open the shop." Audrey says to the guy smiling at him getting up from her chair taking the coat in her left arm.

Ralph does the same thing as Audrey though he was still holding his cup of tea he then finishes it then sets it back down on the round wooden table.

"You're welcome Audrey, also I forgot to mention the light switch in the bedroom doesn't work anymore so there's candles and matches next to the bed so you can see in the bedroom." The old man said embarrassed that he hadn't gotten that fixed yet. He then begins to put away the now clean and dry appliances in the glass case where the muffins and biscuits were.

"okay and thank you for the biscuits and tea Bernie, good night." She says with a smile on her face.

the old man reply's back to her saying. "it's no problem at all and good night sleep well you two." In a warm voice.

Then They both started walking away to the wooden staircase upstairs that had a blue carpeting on it. Audrey was holding Ralph's hand to lead them in the dark room.

She twists the brass door knob and opens the door.

it makes a soft creek noise, she could barely see anything in the room except the lighting coming though the window's velvet curtains spooking her a bit slightly she made a scared sound in her throat.

Ralph puts his hands on her shoulders squeezing her lightly reassuring her. "it's okay Audrey it's just lighting no need to be afraid." He then closes the door behind them and moves to where the big soft chair was setting down his long coat and towel that was still on his shoulders he takes Audreys towel too aswell and puts it on the chair.

Audrey finds the matches and candles that were sitting on the small dresser next to the bed. she then lights up four big candles so they could see clearly in the room without bumping into anything.

Ralph was sitting in the chair now noticing the bright candle light that was now making the room look very bright. He then looks around the big room noticing a piano that looked to be made in the early 1900s, he then looks at the walls and saw picture frames everywhere they look quite old with yellow aging colour around the edges of the pictures.

"Audrey look at the walls they're filled with concert pictures and news paper cutouts." He starts walking around next to Audrey pointing at the pictures.

"Woww.. look at this one! the article is from 1923. it says Chichester's famous piano jazz player Bernie and his partner Mille play their music outside of the 12th century Cathedral, 800 people showed up listening to their 10 new songs of theirs making them the most popular duo in west sussex United Kingdom." She reads out loud to Ralph who had his arm around her shoulder.

"That's truly amazing. That many people to listen to their music must've been lots of fun!" He says excitement in his voice.

"Yeah! I bet it was lots of fun for them to do concert shows seeing that many people there." She replies back to him.

"Yeah I bet it was Also I think my parents listened to their music when I was little." Ralph says smiling wide happy that he's now met a pretty famous guy in Chichester. He then walks off to a different part in the room leaving Audrey looking at the pictures still.

"That's so cool Ralph, There's so many things in this room-." Audrey was interrupted by what sounded to be a record player, she notices that Ralph flipped on a 45 on a very old looking record player he grabbed the turning handle on it and then music started playing out of it.

She walks where Ralph was standing and holds his hand smiling. "this is really nice music I wonder what happened to his partner that's singing in it?" She said looking at his face. 

The music filled the room of classic jazz and old style singing, it was now about 11:50pm at night.

Ralph then walks over to the bed and sits on the left side of it saying to her "we could ask him about it in the morning." While Removing his brown leather shoes.

She then walks to the other side of the comfy bed removing her brown clunky heal shoes making a satisfying noise stretching her feet a little.

"That's a great idea Ralph before we leave we can probably talk to him about his songs too!" She then gets up from the bed to move down the blanket covers and then lays in the bed waiting for Ralph to join her in the soft bed.

"Yeah we can certainly do that, um should I blow out some of the candles?" He asks since it was bit bright to have on for sleeping.

"Yeah you can I don't mind." She says softly to him. He then blows out two candles and then lays in bed bringing up the blankets to his chest still wearing his blue jumper since it was still really cold in the room.

Audrey moves little closer to keep warmer. Ralph grinned little, the shadows of the warm candle light was  on both of their faces a little.

He then moves closer to her playing with her hair moving the braided piece away that was in her face.

"You know Audrey I think you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life." He says to her in a soft tone smiling rubbing his hand on her face softly.

Audrey's heart began to flutter from his words. "You-you really think so Ralph?" She was now smiling brightly at him blushing a little.

He then takes her hand kisses it "Yes Audrey I think you're very beautiful."  He says to her with a sleepy tone in his voice.

"Thank you..Ralph that's.. so sweet of you to say, also I think.. you're very handsome too.." she says in a low soft voice.

Ralph then moves even more closer to her face only niches away from her face now looking deep into her eyes.

She then stares at his eyes, nose then his lips...

"It's my pleasure, also you really think I'm handsome?" His heart skipped a couple of beats he was surprised by her wonderful complement.

"Yes you're greatest looking guy I've ever laid my eyes on.."  she then puts her head on his now warm chest wrapping her arm on his stomach making circles on his jumper while looking little bit upwards at him.

The 45 on the record player ended now only hearing heavy rain and thunder from outside.

"Thank you Audrey." Ralph says softly in her ear wrapping his strong arms around her waist keeping her warm.

he then leans in her face closing the gap between them and gives her a couple slow kisses on her cheek and then her lips Smiling into the soft kiss after it ended.

She smiles at him with bright eyes stunned by the Mesmerizing kisses of his lips tasting of earl gray tea that they had earlier.

She then kisses him back this time it was deeper much longer and more passionate then their first kiss they ever shared together.

her hand was in his hair playfully messing it up a little while they kissed.

Ralph makes a soft noise In his throat wishing the kiss could last forever.

15 minutes later pass They both stopped kissing needing air to breathe after that long heated make out session.

"Audrey...would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asks her panting still little out of breath while taking his blue jumper off.

"Oh my goodness Yess I'd be honored to be you're girlfriend Ralph!" She says excitedly hugging him tight.

Ralph hugs her smiling happily kissing her cheek.

Audrey was now quite tired and started yawning.

Ralph then yawns too then says. "I'm so exhausted Audrey I think we should get a lot of rest tonight so we can go to more places." He says in his now rough tired sounding voice.

"Yeah that's a good idea Ralph and yeah same here I'm pretty exhausted aswell." She then turns her back facing her side of the bed fixing the pillow a little

Ralph then wraps his arm around her cuddling her to keep warm.

"Goodnight Audrey." He whispers into her ear then kisses her head gently.

She blushes and says "goodnight Ralph." In a sleepy voice falling asleep a few minutes later dreaming about Italian food.
