During the little meal they had,  Nol and Shin-ae catched up with all of thing that had happened in the hectic couple months. 

She explained her fathers health,  and how things had gone down at the house.  She talked about the daily tasks of medicine and other highly important treatment Shin-ae had to do.  Although he was in better shape then when he first entered the hospital,  he still was nowhere near healthy.  It broke Shin-ae's heart,  but it felt good to share it with a close friend.

Nol listened intently to everything she had to say.  Often nodding or raising his eyebrows.  He gave small advice,  although he knew little to nothing about this,  he just wanted to make her feel more comfortable,  or that she would have someone to talk to. 

Afterwards,  Shin-ae had looked down.  Although she felt better,  she didn't like bringing people into her personal problems.  But she trusted Nol to keep this information to himslef. He wouldn't force her to go on into detail,  or try to step in and help.  He understood that she disliked that. 

They sat silenly for a few moments.  Although the silence between them seemed to engulf her and crush her. 

She decided it had been enough and tried to start a new conversation.

"Well, " She cleared her throat.  "Enough about me,  how have the past months been for you? " She asked whith a crooked smile.  She simply lifted her hand and indicated him with a small little shake.

"Uh,  you know.  The usual.  Wake up,  work,  eat,  work,  home,  eat,  and sleep.  Pretty much that everyday.  So,  honestly boring.  Although.. " He held that in the air for a few moments.  Shin-ae thought he was going to go on about Kousuke,  she sat patiently while he eyed her with a mischievous grin.

"Dieter has been wondering how you've been. " She was taken aback by this comment.  She hadn't heard from Dieter for at least a year. 

"How do you know? "

She was highly confused.  Dieter had left for Germany a year previously.  It was sad to see him go.  Although she would never develop feelings for him,  she did take him as a very close friend.  Before he left they had become much closer.  Seeing him leave was dark and upsetting.  They had lost communication when Dieter got a new German phone number.  He hadn't talked to her since.

"You tell me. " He said with his grin almost reaching ear to ear.  His eyes were filled with mischiev and interest.

Shin-ae looked around with complete confusion painted all over there face.

That's when she spotted him.

Across the room was a pale tall man with pure blonde hair. He was at the front ordering something.

He hadn't seemed to notice that Shin-ae and Nol were there yet. 

Shin-ae watched him nod a few times then turn around.

His piercing ocean blue eyes scanned the room.  Then their eyes met.

"Sh-shin-a-" He got no farther.

Shin-ae blundered over to him throwing her arms around him.

"AH!  You are finally back!  Do you understand how worried I was??  Not one word for a whole year??  Are you insane!!!" She rambled on for a minute or two about Dieter being a idiot for not telling her anything.

She pulled back.

"Oh sorry. " She said with a grin while she faced the completely still figure in front of her. "Didn't mean to startle you! " She giggled as she looked up at the completely surprised man in front of her.

He looked down at her.

"I-im sorry... " He stammered.  "I didn't know how to get ahold of you- uh.. " He rubbed the back of his neck while looking everywhere but meeting Shin-ae's fierce glare.

"Uh,  Yeong-gi!  You're here too? " Dieter said while awkwardly walking towards him.

Nol laughed.  A deep long laugh.

"Man,  you haven't changed one bit? "
Yet this was highly untrue.  Dieter had much more broad shoulders,  and his hair had been cut a little shorter.  He also had gained a lot of muscle. 

He turned out well.  Shin-ae smiled.

The trio spoke for another hour or so,  shin-ae and Dieter exchanged phone numbers again,  and shin-ae forced him to promise not to leave her hanging again.  He did as told with a wide grin.

After Dieter had left, shin-ae realized something.

"Dammit!  How long have we been out?  At least 2 and a half hours right? Crap!  I completely forgot about work! " She shook her head with a frown.  Kousuke was sure to be mad.  It was her first day back and she had missed so much. 

She hurried and grabbed her things.

"UH-Thanks for lunch Nol!! " She stammered as she tried to hurry along.

"Wait!  Let me give you an ride,  I gotta head back anyways. " Nol ran up to her.  "It's the least I can do,  saying it's my fault you weren't able to leave. " He panted.  "How the hell do you run so fast??? " To his surprise she laughed.

"Hey what's so funny? "

"I'm not fast,  you are just incredibly slow. " She threw back her head as she laughed.

"Oh we should probably go! " She hurried to the car.

A few moments later they where pulling out if the parking space and on their way to Hirahara Corp.

Shin-ae walked out if the metal doors of the elevator and was met with floor 50.

I'm going to die.

She already had the picture of mad kousuke with his arms crossed.  Leaning on his desk with a glare.  His voice coming to a snarl.

Shin-ae's imagination was so over dramatic she found it hard to believe.  She believed most of it,  the snarl though.  She had never seen Kosuke to anything more then raise his voice.

She was still very cautious while entering the room.

She was aware he was in there because she could hear the shuffling about of papers, and the very familiar grunt every few minutes.

Then she heard something from behind her.

Running? 

She heard the pounding of feet behind her and she quickly moved to the side while turning around.

She saw a familiar girl with dark brown hair and orangish-brown eyes.  She wore a dark blue long flowing jacket that flew behind her as she ran.

Meg.

Shin-ae let out a grunt of surprise at the sight if her.  Woah,  had she not changed one bit? She looked EXACTLY the same as 10 months ago.  She didn't even look like her hair grew by a centimeter.  Even Kousuke had changed a little over the months.  His hair had been a little longer and his face had seemed to be creased with a frown.

"If you are outside my door just come in already. " A very irritated voice came from inside.

"Okay darling! " Meg happily slipped open the door and flew inside.

Shin-ae heard a slight gasp of surprise followed by a loud bang,
and hurried inside to see what happened.

Kousuke had fallen from his chair in a fit of surprise. And Meg stood looking over him with a smile.

"EEEK! Did you miss me that much??  Awww! " She leaned down to touch his face.

He slapped her hand away.

"Get the hell away from me! " Kousuke yelled. 

"Someone get in here!  Get her out!  Ugh! " He yelled,  irritation all to evident in his voice.

"I just got here!  Baby let me stay!  I can help you,  you could appoint me as your new assistant!!!!!  Your old one hasn't been back for like a year!  Surly that brat has left so I can fill the gap! " Meg clapped her hands in excitement.

Kousuke tried to get up but Meg slightly pushed him down. 

"I'm ment to help you up silly!" She said while putting her hand out for him.

He looked at it with disgust and slapped it away.

"I am fine. " He said while,  again,  being knocked down.

Shine-ae had seen enough of her Boss being bullied by this native woman.

"Meg leave the poor dude alone.  He is dealing with enough work he doesn't need to deal with a nagging woman also. " Shin-ae walked a few paces closer to them.

"Ugh- so she is back.  Sorry hunny but I'm already planning on filling in for you.  You stay the hell away from my man!" Meg said with pure disgust and stood straight up. Her full height becoming apparent.

"Excuse me. " Shin-ae said while moving around Meg.  She hurried to Kousuke as he tried to get untangled from his chair a a few wires on his floor. 

She held out her hand and heaved him up. He sat up and finished untangling himself.  He stood up and faced Shin-ae.

"Seems like your back from your little lunch party." He said with a cold glare.

"Yeah,  sorry about that I lost track of time,  you see we-" Shin-ae tried to explain but she was cut off.

"No one cares!  Get out!  Leave Kousuke alone and go hang out with your boyfriend! " Meg yelled at Shin-ae.

Shin-ae looked at her in Bewilderment.

"Boyfriend?  I have no such thing. " Shin-ae snorted.

"Lier!  You were hanging out with Yeong-gi earlier,  you guys are totally dating! " Meg persisted.

"It was just a friendly meeting,  he is like a brother to me.  Dating him would be weird.  Honestly ew, think of dating your brother.  Not interested. " Shin-ae had little interest in this conversation.

"I don't care about your lying mouth!  Now leave my future husband alone!" Meg almost screamed.

Kousuke had been watching with interest as Shin-ae calmly replied to all of Meg's comments. But when he heard this,  he stepped in front of shin-ae with a red face.

"Future husband? " He said in disgust.

"I would rather not. " He said coldly.
"Now leave this building or I will call security. " Kousuke eyed her with zero remorse.

Shin-ae peared around Kousukes shoulders in interest.  He was standing right in front of her,  almost sheilding her view of Meg.

"What?  Don't call security!  No!  Why are you being so cold?  Kousuke you are my future husband and you know that!  Your whole family knows that!" Meg said,  her face getting hot with anger.

"What?  I will not be any of the sort!  I wouldn't even call you a someone I talk to,  let alone my future wife! Leave this building now,  this is your last chance before I call security! " Kousuke was also hot with anger. His voice rose and he rumbled.

He not only had been interrupted and embarrsd,  he had also been falsely accused of being her future husband!

Shin-ae lightly tapped his shoulder. His head slightly turned towards her.

"Calm down,  it's not that big of a deal,  if you know it's not true then don't put so much care into it." She slightly smiled at him as she whispered and his shoulders relaxed. 

She steped back in front of him and began to take a few steps towards Meg.

"What did she tell you?  Brat,  what did you tell him? " Meg stammerd.

"Meg please leave,  it would be a huge hassle to have security being called.  If you want to talk to Kousuke wait intel he isn't at work and isn't doing something important. " She said coldly to Meg.

Meg stormed out.  Huffing and puffing with anger.  She will make Kousuke accept her even if it takes physical force. She dissapered around a corner.

Kousuke sighed with relief.

"Thanks Miss Yoo. " Kousuke said while standing by his desk, catching his breath.

Shin-ae looked up at him with surprise. She met his deep gaze of his deep blue marbled eyes. 

"What?" Kousuke said while looking away from her glare.

"Thank you? " Shin-ae questioned as she stared at Kousukes face. 

"That's what I said,  is something wrong with that? " He eyed her with an confused glint in his eyes.

Shin-ae thought for a moment.  It made sense for him to say thank you,  she really did help him with that.  Yet it was just a normal thing to say,  for some odd reason she felt her face go red and her heart beat a little faster.

"No. Nothing at all.  Never mind. " Shin-ae glanced at him.

Could he notice how red she was right now?  She prayed that he couldn't,  but she could never be sure.

"Uhm..  Do you have any work I can do? " She said,  initiating the stack of papers on his desk,  although it had gone down a bit,  it was still a decently large stack.

"Sure,  come here." He motioned for her to sit down in the chair across from him desk.

She took the seat and started blankly at the tall man in front of her.  She watched him take his seat,  and within a few seconds,  she was captivated by his fierce gaze once more.

She tugged on he sleeve to calm her self. 

This may be more challenging then I imagined....
