He paused in his steps and gave her what was undoubtedly a broken smile. She stood up hastily as he approached from the stairs, his gait terribly slow and calculated. His eyes, which always shone in different hues of brilliant yellow and red, dimmed to the dull and pale color of snow before the light in them faded. She had never seen him look this vulnerable before.

What was wrong with him?

"We humans make use of words to grasp what we desire. We twist and turn them into something evil, and for what? To make ourselves feel better and ruin people? To abide by what society considers normal? Whatever it is, in the end, aren't we murderers too?"

"How did you even get this drunk?"

"I don't know" He whined. " Why do you always bully me like this?"

"No one looks pretty after crying all night." She paused before exhaling. "Except you apparently"

His mouth settled into a cute pout, eyes glistening over with oncoming tears.

"Ok, fine, I'll uh sing you a lullaby"

I don't even know how to sing...

"Won't you hug me back?"

"Won't you love me back?"
