Chapter 43

~Yoongi~

"I don't like that guy at all," Yoongi hissed, glaring at the door.

"M-maybe you should come sit here for a bit," Jihye said, clearing her throat. "It—might be best to, um, not make a scene out here."

After Seyeon sent Yoongi out, he was busy sulking outside and bumped into Jihye who looked like she'd been crying. Wanting to ask her what's wrong, he didn't get the chance because the minute she saw him and asked if Yoongi was okay, Yoongi began venting to her.

Right now they are outside Seyeon's room.

Yoongi turned and looked at her. "You're kidding me, right?"

Jihye shrugged.

"Hyung!" came Hoseok's voice.

Both Yoongi and Jihye turned towards his voice and that's when they saw all of the members. Hoseok was jogging towards them with Jiyeon by his side, followed by the younger members. Behind them, he could see Seokjin and Namjoon talking about something.

"Crap," he heard Jihye murmured. "Uh, I better go."

Yoongi grabbed her arm to stop her. "We're going to head home soon. Seyeon told me she wanted to talk to you before we leave."

Jihye tried to wrench free from Yoongi's hold and he felt bad for doing this to her but he couldn't shake off the image of Namjoon's sad smile ever since he met her again. It was selfish but hey, he loved that guy. Looking at this woman here, he knew he'll like her too.

"What's going..." Namjoon's voice trailed off when his gaze came to them. Yoongi saw his gaze narrowed. "Let her go."

Yoongi rolled his eyes at the possessiveness in his tone and let go of Jihye who immediately stepped in front of Yoongi as if to defend him.

"Why are you here?" she demanded.

"One of my important people is here," Namjoon said, lowly.

"Seyeon?" she asked, surprised. No, not just surprise. Maybe even a little hurt too.

"Why are you here?" Jungkook asked Yoongi, about to go open the door but Yoongi reached out and pulled him back.

"Shush," Yoongi scowled at them. Then he pressed his ear towards the door, trying to listen to what Seyeon and Wooyoung were talking about.

And because that didn't work, Yoongi shot a warning glare at everyone before opening the door slightly.

"Some guy is in there," Jihye explained to Jiyeon and Hoseok.

Jiyeon bites her lip to stop herself from smiling. Minseo was giggling with Taehyung grinning at Yoongi.

"Wow," Seokjin said, with a look of disbelief as he stared at Yoongi. "you look kind of pathetic there, Yoongi."

"Shut it, hyung," Yoongi muttered.

~Seyeon~

It was so damn obvious Yoongi was listening. Thankfully, I made the phone call to Namjoon the minute Yoongi left.

Wooyoung just watched me, guilt in his eyes.

"You'll be okay, right?" Wooyoung asked, softly.

I nodded. "I'll be just fine."

Wooyoung sighed. "You really need to start listening to people."

I smiled at that. "Maybe I do. So? You came to make sure I'm still alive?"

Wooyoung gave me a tired smile. "I'm being transferred."

I stopped smiling. "You are?"

He nodded. "I came to say goodbye."

"Why? It's not like we'll never see each other again, right?"

Wooyoung laughed softly at that. "You're right but it didn't feel right to leave without saying anything to you."

Memories of our last conversation flashed before my mind and I reached out, holding his hand, squeezing it.

"You take care of yourself out there, okay?" I forced a smile. "You're... still a friend after all."

Wooyoung placed his hand over mine, wearing that beautiful smile of his that had me falling for him back then. Not anymore though. It's Yoongi's smile that now makes my heart skip a beat.

"I couldn't protect you back then, Seyeon and I regret it so much," he said, eyes filled with regret and sadness. "But I think you've found people who will protect you from now on."

I felt emotional at that and nodded because I knew that I'm safe here now. No one can hurt me ever again.

"You were the friend I needed back then, Wooyoung," I said, softly. "I'm glad you were there when you were."

And I meant it.

Regardless of all the bad things that have happened back then, I wouldn't have made it if it wasn't for Wooyoung. I can't blame him for not being able to save me because only I was able to save myself. Besides, we were kids back then.

The world was too cruel to me but I made it out alive and found my forever with Yoongi. To me, everything was worth it.

Seyeon tugged on Yoongi's sleeve as they were heading out to the van.

"I think we reopened a nightmare," Seyeon whispered.

Yoongi glanced over his shoulder at Namjoon and Jihye before turning to Seyeon and nodded. "I think so too," he murmured. "But it's been like this since Jiyeon and Hoseok's incident."

"Doesn't make it any easier," she said, worriedly.

Yoongi watched as Seyeon lightly pressed a hand to her upper stomach and winced. He frowned, "Are you in pain?"

"Stop asking me that," she scowled. "Just a little sting now and then. Nothing bad."

Yoongi watched helplessly as Seyeon struggled and groaned a little from the pain. When she was finally seated, Yoongi slipped in after her, closing the door behind him. He saw the other members walked towards the other van and he glanced back to see Namjoon and Jihye.

It doesn't look too good. He knows that for sure.

"Yoongi?"

Yoongi dropped his gaze to Seyeon.

"Is it bad?" she asked, struggling to twist around to see Namjoon and Jihye.

Yoongi placed both hands on her shoulder to prevent her from doing so. "It's fine."

"Maybe we should interfere."

Yoongi smirked as the van began moving. "You went out and called Namjoon to come and now you're thinking of dragging him away from her?"

Seyeon frowned. "I didn't realised how bad it'll be."

"Doesn't matter," Yoongi murmured, leaning back against the chair, his gaze not leaving Seyeon's. "They can't keep running forever."
