Chapter 31
~Seyeon~
Harin couldn't stop laughing when I told her what happened. Like always, we had a lot of fun being around each other. When it was time for her to leave, I was a little sad. That's because she is set to fly overseas to film for that new drama of hers. Nevertheless, she promised to ring me and check up from me when she can and I did the same for her too.
It was seven when I returned home. The minute I stepped into the room, that's when I saw Yoongi heading my way.
"Oh, hey!" I said, cheerfully. "I didn't think you'd be—mmph!"
With his lips against mine, I lost all train of thoughts and gave myself to him. Like always. There was something different about his kiss though. And it terrified me. Just a little.
~Yoongi~
"Y-Yoongi," Seyeon breathed out when he finally broke the kiss.
"Quiet," he muttered into her ear, hands moving towards where he knew she'd like them.
"What's wrong?" she asked, hands on his shoulders, squeezing them.
Yoongi always loved the fact that Seyeon can read him better than anyone else but right now, he hated it. He doesn't want her to read him. He doesn't need her to. Not now. Not tonight. Because he wanted to forget what was said. He wanted to direct that anger and frustration at Seyeon's body. If not then he'll end up saying things he don't mean and hurt both of them.
He could feel Seyeon's warmth on his hand, reminding him that he's the one making her feel this way. When they first connected, he came to realise that he was her first. That he's the only one who's ever seen her this way. The only one who can make her fall apart like this. And the best part? He gets to keep her. Or at least that's what he thought.
Yoongi's lips trailed down her throat, nipping and sucking. Seeing the marks he'd left on her did things to him. It reassured him that it was him who she allowed close enough to do this to her but at the same time, it made him want to mark every part of her. Even if he wanted to do that, he couldn't do it because it'll scare her. Yoongi doesn't just love her, he's obsessed with her. He wants to own every part of her and never let her go. He's jealous. Jealous that Seyeon gets along with anyone, that she's beautiful and adorable to the point where everyone dotes on her. And then he's angry. Angry that she's so oblivious during the times she needed to be sharp. Angry that she trusts too easily. Angry that she has him wrapped around her finger and yet she doesn't even know it. Most importantly, angry at himself for loving her too much, knowing that love is a destructive emotion.
Grabbing her chin, he kissed her again. Hard and deep. When Seyeon was struggling to breathe and trying to break away from him, it made him angrier than ever.
"No," he hissed against her lips.
Seyeon's eyes filled with fear, uncertainty and... lust.
"Did something happen?" she asked, softly.
"No," he grunted.
"But—"
He cut her off but kissing her once more. He let his lips devour hers as his hands moved all over her body. When he wasn't able to handle it anymore, he tore his mouth away from hers and then dragged her towards her bedroom.
Love. It drives people mad.
And that's exactly what it's doing to Yoongi.
~Seyeon~
Exhausted. That's how I was feeling right now.
I twisted my head to the side to look at Yoongi who had his eyes on the ceiling. Something happened after I'd left. It's not like Yoongi to be like this. But what's holding him back from talking to me?
Moving towards Yoongi, I gently placed my head on his chest. I released the breath I was holding when I felt his arm come around me, holding me against him.
"You're not too sore, are you?" he murmured.
I shook my head. "Just a little."
Yoongi glanced down at me and I saw something flashed in his eyes but it was gone before I could decipher it. When I was about to ask him, Yoongi beat me to it.
He shifted and then buried his face against my neck, his lips moving in a gentle manner.
"We need to talk," Yoongi murmured. "Soon."
"Yoongi?"
"Whether you're ready to or not," Yoongi said, lifting his hard gaze to meet mine. "We're going to talk, Seyeon."
***
"Seyaon-ah."
I was jerked back to the present once more. Picking up my milkshake, I cleared my throat, "Sorry Wooyoung. You were saying?"
He frowned. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," I replied, glancing outside and seeing that it was dark. "Just thinking about some things."
Wooyoung leaned forward across the table towards me, "About Yoongi?"
I shrugged. "He's the only thing on my mind these days."
Yoongi left early this morning without waking me up. He was gone when I came to and although I wanted to text him, I didn't know what to say. The guy wanted to talk. That's enough to let me know what he wants to talk about.
"Are you happy with the guy?"
At Wooyoung's question, I made a face at him, "What's this?"
"Your boyfriend," he shrugged. "Are you happy with him?"
"Would I be with him if I'm not happy?" I arched an eyebrow at him. "Of course I'm happy with him. Yoongi makes me the happiest woman alive."
I turned my head towards the window once more before glancing at my watch. It was nearly eight.
When I glanced at Wooyoung, his eyes were on my neck. Knowing that he's probably seeing the marks Yoongi left, I fixed my scarf which made Wooyoung's eyes locked with mine.
"He's your first boyfriend, isn't he?"
After adjusting my scarf, I smiled at that and nodded. I wasn't his first but he was my first.
Wooyoung's eyes dropped to my ring before clearing his throat, "It seems like you two are...."
I followed his gaze to the ring and held up my hand to him as I bragged, "Do you like the ring? Yoongi designed it and had it made for me. Us."
Wooyoung made a face at that. "Romantic."
"Right?" I grinned, dropping my gaze to the ring. "He knows how to make a girl feel special."
He cleared his throat, "Money isn't everything, Seyeon."
At that, I lifted my gaze and narrowed my eyes at him, "What? Of course I know that! Are you trying to make me look like some gold digger?"
He held both hands up in surrender, "No but I'm just saying. Don't be blinded by that."
I scoffed, annoyed at him for even suggesting that. I was glad when the food came because Wooyoung and I focused on eating. It was a good thing too because I wanted to head back home and sleep. I was tired as heck.
As Wooyoung and I walked out of the restaurant, I glared at him.
"What?"
"I can't believe you paid for that! I told you that we are to split it!" I scowled.
Wooyoung shrugged, tucking his hands in his front pockets. "It's only right if I pay."
"I make my own money," I reminded him. "I'm more than capable of paying for myself. Wait, even for you too."
"Good," he said. "When are you free? Let's do lunch and you can pay then."
I hesitated at that. "I don't know," I mumbled. "I'm with Yoongi. I don't know if it's good for me to be seen with a guy."
Wooyoung crossed his arms, "Does the guy even know you? He doesn't even know you, Seyeon."
"He knows me," I said, irritably. "More than anyone else."
"He doesn't know about your past," Wooyoung argued.
I stiffened at that and narrowed my eyes at Wooyoung. "So? Just because he doesn't know about my past, doesn't mean that—"
"Your past is what shaped you into who you are today, Seyeon," he cut me off. "Let me guess, he doesn't even know about Seolhee."
I gritted my teeth at the mention of Seolhee. "Can you shut up? Why do you keep bringing back the past when—"
That's when Wooyoung grabbed my wrist, tugging me towards him. He leaned down, eyes locked on me.
"I'm telling you that if you can't even talk about it to him then that obviously means something," he said.
I tried to shove his hand off me but when he didn't budge, I stopped and glared at him instead, "That doesn't mean anything! Yoongi knows about other stuff."
Wooyoung laughed, tiredly. "Stop trying to fool yourself."
"Let go," I snapped, slapping at his hand. "Why do you keep bringing up Yoongi?"
"Are you seriously that dense?"
That just pissed me off even more.
"What are you even—"
"It's because I like you!" he snarled.
It felt like time stopped at that line. I could feel my heart racing at the confession. A confession I wanted to hear so many years ago but gave up and finally moved on.
"I... what?" I whispered.
"I went looking for you, Seyeon. You'd left. I never stopped searching."
I opened my mouth to say something but then I was suddenly pulled back, my back hitting someone's front. Yoongi's familiar scent hits me.
Glancing up, I saw Yoongi there, eyes locked on Wooyoung. Yoongi smiled but it didn't reach his eyes. "Say your goodbye, Seyeon."
"I—"
"We're leaving," Yoongi said, grabbing my hand.
"You know I'm right," Wooyoung said.
Yoongi and I came to a stop at that.
Glancing over his shoulder, Yoongi and Wooyoung locked eyes as I watched the two, not knowing if he directed that at me or Yoongi.
Without saying anything to that, Yoongi dragged me out of there. I couldn't help but feel my heart hurting at the fact that Yoongi probably heard everything. I glanced sideways at him and saw him clenched his jaw. Anger etched all over his features.
